Love this one...eventhough the plot is not that much...as long as we don't put too much expectation, we can still enjoy it 😬

Starting the weekend off with a little reading.

I‘m not usually a fan of slow-burn, but this one worked for me and kept me coming back to the story.
🌶 was just right!
Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Currently reading…The mixed reviews here on Litsy just made me more intrigued 😅

It was great, ok? It‘s Ali Hazelwood, and very little of hers hasn‘t been fantastic for me. #DannyBoy is, as always, my reading companion, and particularly velcro-ey since we got home from our trip a few days ago.

That thing you taught us!
What thing?
Misdirection.
I taught you that?
Yeah! You, or Siegfried, or Roy…

This whole thing, about Maya looking so much like her older brother reminds me of my brother‘s wedding. He‘s 8 years older, and everyone thinks I resemble my sister (5 years older) until they meet him. One of the bridesmaids, friend of his, was so excited to meet me and we had this 👆🏼 kind of exchange. It went kind of like “You look so much like John! But…you‘re pretty!” And then to save it, “It just means John would make a really pretty woman!”

A super cute book about comedians who fake date and of course fall in love. Full of witty jokes and banter, a little predictable. A dual time line and dual POVs, but easy to follow. Meyer sounds like an absolute dream and Farley is clever and hilarious. Book #75 of 2025 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
