Freida McFadden is the queen of plot twists. This is the second book in the series and I flew through it. When you think you know the twist that‘s coming… you‘re still surprised. Really enjoy her writing.

Perfect sequel to The Housemaid ! I picked it up right after finishing the first and ordered the third book (released in June) immediately after finishing this one! I could see this as a tv show or movie.
3.5 out of 5 stars
Playing a little catch up!!! Typical Freida with twists right up until the very end. Super quick read with the same end result…just love her. Not as good as the first one but close.🖤
The second book in The Housemaid series and this one is just as good as the first, if not better. Millie is at it again. She can‘t stand to see women being abused by their husbands. This story has a bizarre twist and Millie could land herself in prison. Another great twist at the end. Love Freida McFadden! #SeriesLove2024 @TheSpineView @Andrew65
“As he continues showing me their incredible penthouse apartment, I have a terrible feeling about the woman behind closed doors. But I can't risk losing this job – not if I want to keep my darkest secret safe . . .”
I read this one before reading the first one in the series. It‘s the second book and it is so good. I love it for it‘s plot twists. I love a good thriller with a plot twist. Not all characters were lovable, but that‘s okay. Made it more interesting. Couldn‘t put this one down. Excited to read the first and third books in the series. ❤️✨
Look team, is it more of the same? Absolutely. But if we‘re honest, the same is good, that‘s what we‘re all here for so no worries hey?
To me this one started out slow. I struggled to read the first 50 pages and thought about DNFing it. But, it picked up after then, and I flew through the book. The twists were great. That one twist, I can't tell you about bc I don't want to ruin the book, really got me.

This was such a great book. I gave it 5 stars on goodreads. Loved the first one and I loved this one and I am sure that i will love the third when It comes out in June. Had a twist at the end that I was not expecting. I was like OMG. Her books just do it for me.
This follow up book to “The Housemaid” exceeded expectations! After loving the first book, I can say I also completely devoured this read. Such a page-turner! 4.5 ⭐️
Liked this one as much as the first. I think Millie may be the QUEEN of domestic help!:)
I like this series so far. Another pick for Millie.
Running behind on my reading goal so I know once I start this one I‘m not going to want to put it down. Freida McFadden is amazing!! #38of2023
Round 2, let's go. Hope it's as good as the first. And if not, I hope those 14 people who have this on hold behind me at the library like it more.

I actually liked this one more than the first (The Housemaid). The beginning was also somewhat slow but it picks up sooner. The twists were interesting and unexpected, pretty hard to guess. Although, some might have opposing views, that is my take. Lastly, the book can stand on its own, but it is a continuation of the first story, and I would still recommend to read The Housemaid first.
Are we sure this is the actual second book to this series? Because I loved the first one, and this one was just bad. This was not the same Millie as the first book! The first book she was determined and strong! This book she was annoying and complained about everything! I saw the ending coming from the first 100 pages... it felt like bad acting, but in a book? Just cringey. 2/5
Excellent sequel. Just as page turning as the first book. Read in one day!
🌟🌟🌟 I honestly think her books are ok. They are sort of not very realistic but are entertaining. I‘ve decided these are best consumed via audiobook. They are too light to engage me fully in a read but do pass the time when listening to them.
This is book two in this series(?) And Millie from The Housemaid is back. Whilst this was still a solid and page turning read...it's much different from the first. Not as good but still good enough to read if that makes sense. #bookspin @TheAromaofBooks
A page turner to be sure
2023… some similar characters if u loved housemaid worth the read … but first book is better but still a good read 8/10 housemaid secret
Very different than first book IMO. But still worth a read, twists and turns keep you hooked. I also really liked the short chapters. I'm not sure wh, but I found myselfsayingg "one more chapter" for the whole thing

The Housemaid‘s Secret is the second book in The Housemaid series. Once again we follow Millie, still a housemaid and now also a student, freshly employed in a household that hides twisted secrets. Her new employer, Douglas Garrick, lives in a beautiful penthouse apartment and has a successful career. This thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat.
A bit of a dud in comparison to the Housemaid #1. Some people raved about this one but I found it a bit dull.
One of my favourite things to do is baking while listening to a book. I started listening to the tagged book while baking my favourite lemon cake loaf. I find that my lemon cake loaf gets better with each new one I bake.
Had to leave work this morning and go to the doctor. Most of you know that I talk on the phone all day at work and I lost my voice a couple of days ago. Turns out I have strep and bilateral ear infections 😫I‘m going to try to start this one. I‘m having chills so I may not make it very far. Have you read it or any of this author‘s books! I loved The Housemaid and Do Not Disturb 🖤

Enjoyed the second instalment, again full of twists and turns and kept me engaged and not wanting to put it down.
I loved this sequel almost as much as I loved the first one. Such an awesome twist that I didn‘t see coming even though I had suspicions. This was so well crafted up until the very end. I loved that there were little pieces that I knew were important but I couldn‘t figure it out until the very last page. This book was another masterpiece by this author.

Millie Calloway was hired as a housemaid for Douglas Garrick and he told her not to go into the guest bedroom as his wife was very ill. She can hear Mrs. Garrick crying and can see blood stains on the neck of her nightgown so she does knock on the bedroom door to make sure things are ok. But what she sees she knows Mrs. Garrick needs help getting away from her abusive husband.
It‘s finally here!! I really need to finish my other 2!! 🥴📚 When your book matches your snack! ❤️💛
