TheBookHippie I‘m emotionally spent ... hoping for low key weekend. School announcement this Tuesday 😬 4y
TheBookHippie Pictures so so beautiful ! 4y

DieAReader 🎶📚☕️🌞I‘m parked outside for the foreseeable future🤣 Lower back muscle cramps & spasms have levelled any hope I had of an all day cleaning spree🤦🏻‍♀️ Hopefully I can get some stuff done a bit later this evening. How was Friday for you @Andrew65 🧐 4y
Birdsong28 Love the pictures. Been spending some time in the garden so that has been nice. 📚 📖 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Me too! 😔 Good luck for Tuesday. We are waiting fir more guidance to be published for September at the end of the month. 4y
TheBookHippie @Squidget oh ouch. Rest up! 4y
Andrew65 @Squidget who need to clean! 📚 Okay day but also frustrated by how things are when you really just want a school back to normal. 4y
Andrew65 @Birdsong28 Yes good to spend some time outside this week. Between the thunderstorms today. 🌩 4y
robinb It's been OK. I've had some health issues this week, but hopefully they're about to get better. Got out to run some errands today and am feeding my grand fur baby, Percy, for my daughter this weekend. It's a rainy day here in Alabama, and unfortunately our COVID numbers are going back up ... 😞 4y
CocoReads 10 more minutes left in my shift. Will I make it? Rainy and warm here. Picking up dinner on my way home in our weekly quest to support local businesses without actually eating in them (still not comfortable with that). Weekend off 4y
Andrew65 @robinb Me too with health issues this week, sending best wishes that you overcome yours. Covid is certainly persistent but would help if people took it seriously. 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads Enjoy your weekend. We are still just relying on our own cooking. 4y
TheSpineView This is the last full day with my grandkids. They leave tomorrow. I have enjoyed them but I am worn out. Then starting tomorrow I will have lots of laundry and cleaning up to do. Kids are messy.☺️ 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView Yes they are. 😂 4y
kezzlou85 Not been the best week, had lots of pain in various areas that's what I get for exercising lol 4y
Velvetfur Sorry I've missed 1 or 2 of these posts! Love the castle pictures, they're really lovely 🙂 The weather forecast that I consulted just before I left the house today said thunder storms and lots of rain all afternoon, so I left the house in jeans, walking boots (waterproof) and with a large umbrella. Then sweated out about half my weight in the blazing hot sunshine all through my walk. Grrr. 4y
Crazeedi Sorry I've not posted on your travelogue! I love your photos, makes me happy to see them! I've just been very busy tending garden, of course! Trying to read as much as I can, but usually end up falling asleep!! 4y
Andrew65 @Crazeedi I‘ve done a lot of that falling asleep over the past two evenings 💤 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Ouch! Hope you get over the pain soon. Though they do say no pain no gain. 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur 😂 That‘s the problem with this type of weather .we did have thunderstorms this afternoon but not particularly violent but still stuffy and humid afterwards. 4y
robinb @Andrew65 Hope your health issues resolve as well. Yes, I wish everyone would dig in and overcome. 🤷🏻‍♀️😩 4y
Andrew65 @robinb Thanks 😍 Seems to be improving. 4y
Texreader Friday was better than Thursday at least. It‘s been a bad week so I‘m pleased as punch it‘s coming to an end, even though I have to work all weekend. Hope all is well with you @Andrew65 and all my Litten friends! 4y
tracey38 My day was very busy at work, then a quick weekly grocery trip, but I'm so glad it's Friday. Got a headache tonight so gonna lie down and hopefully get a little reading in if I can. Hope everyone has a good weekend! Sorry about the health issues and/or pain @Andrew65 @kezzlou85 @Squidget and so glad you had fun with your grandkids @TheSpineView ❤ Enjoy your weekend off @CocoReads !!! 💛🙂📚 4y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I‘ve been at work... we continue to see a spike in covid cases here in Mississippi. Wearing masks is now mandatory with up to $1000.00 fine for noncompliance! 😓 4y
DieAReader @TheBookHippie Definately doing my best, thanks🥰 @Andrew65 I can‘t even begin to imagine how things will play out for schooling here either. Thankfully, schooling is not something I ever need to worry about ever again. Did get some dishes done along with a simple supper. Better than nothing I guess🤷🏻‍♀️ 4y
DieAReader @tracey38 🥰Much appreciated. 🙏🏻Hope your headache vanishes quickly & quietly. 4y
gradcat @andrew65 + @Squidget + @robinb I sincerely hope you all get to feeling better, and that it‘s not something too serious... 4y
gradcat @Crazeedi That is exactly what I do—the falling asleep, that is—heaven knows I can‘t garden to save my life!! 😂🤣♥️ 4y
gradcat @Velvetfur How are you? I‘ve missed you for a few days.... You crack me up: I can just see you all bundled up and weather-proofed, only to go outside and discover it‘s hotter than a blister bug in a pepper patch (and that‘s hot)! 🥵 🤣 ☔️ 4y
gradcat @kezzlou85 Absolutely! Those muscles that haven‘t been worked in a while are complaining! Hopefully you have a heating pad, so that you can rest and read (and otherwise, not move a muscle 🤣). ♥️ 4y
gradcat @robinb & @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks & @Texreader & @tracey38 & @CocoReads Are all of you in the southern US? I‘m in Louisiana...our governor—John Bel Edwards—has decided to push back our reopening. We‘re steady now, but we had high numbers of cases & deaths early on. ♥️ 4y
gradcat @TheBookHippie I hope you get your wish, and can manage to get some peaceful downtime in this weekend. ♥️ 4y
gradcat @TheSpineView It‘s nice to be able to see your grandkids, I know, but I‘m sure the cleanup is not fun. I hope you get some rest this weekend. 4y
gradcat @Birdsong28 Another gardener! I wish I was capable of growing something...I‘ve got absolutely no talent with plants—I tend to murder them! I‘m so glad there are people like you around so that people like me get a chance to see beautiful plants and flowers from time to time. ♥️ 4y
Birdsong28 @gradcat Thanks for the love but unfortunately I am not a gardener I just mow the lawn my mum is the gardener in this household and we have a beautiful garden because of her. I spend my time in the garden reading and as I have been working Mon-Thurs and Friday was my only chance to get out into the garden and enjoy the sunshine. I am just like you I can't grow anything 😂📚📖 4y
kezzlou85 @gradcat yep they're definitely complaining but its all good in the long run. Gone for as little movement as possible. Its eased up now thanks. 4y
kezzlou85 @tracey38 thank you,i hope your headache has eased now 4y
kezzlou85 @Andrew65 thanks. They do and it was time. 4y
Velvetfur @Andrew65 yeah the thunder storm doesn't always clear the atmosphere does it?! Sometimes it's like it didn't happen! 😂 4y
Velvetfur @gradcat Haha! I've no idea what you just said but you said it's hot so I get the idea!! I forgot to mention that even though I had a t-shirt on, I had my little rucksack on my back too - which made me even hotter! 😂 I'm not paying attention to weather reports anymore 🤣 I've missed you too, are you all recovered now? 💜 4y
TheSpineView @gradcat You love to see them and love to see them go.😂 Totally enjoyed them! 4y
robinb @gradcat Yes, I‘m in Alabama and things are spiking again here. We are still under a “Safer at Home” order until 7/3, but since we‘ve recently set & broke records for new cases, I think that will be extended. I worry about the upcoming 7/4 holiday. We saw a spike after Memorial Day. 😔 4y
robinb @gradcat thanks for your well wishes! 😘 4y
Texreader @gradcat Yes San Antonio Texas. Huge spikes all over Texas. 4y
tracey38 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks our governor made it mandatory for face masks in public as of yesterday. But there is also a petition going around for people against it, like it's such a burden for them to help stop the spread of the virus when our numbers are skyrocketing. @Squidget thanks! @grandcat yes, I'm in NC. We rushed into Phase 2 reopening and have pushed back phase 3, thankfully. @kezzlou85 thanks! It has eased! 💛 4y
GHABI4ROSES My Friday honest broke the Family Drama record. Nuff said🤦🏻‍♀️♥️ 4y
gradcat @Birdsong28 My mistake! And it‘s exactly the same here: my mom is the wonderful gardener in my house, and she does manage to keep it looking beautiful. ♥️ 4y

Swallow Tree and Saundersflot beaches today.

How has Thursday been for you?

#DaikyCheckIn

TrishB Hot! Attended an interesting zoom network event on inclusivity in leadership. Some good ideas talked about by an interesting mix of people. Hope you had a good day Andrew. 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB Actually had two good days on the trot, can‘t remember when that last happened. Spent the days, amongst other things, with senior leaders discussing plans from September, how we move forward from this and discussing how we amend the curriculum not to close the gaps as some have mentioned but how to bridge the chasms. We serve a high deprivation area so this has had a massive learning impact on many of the children 4y
See All 28 Comments
Andrew65 @TrishB I love talking leadership, attended an interesting virtual conference speech yesterday that inspired me again and made us start making those plans. 4y
TrishB Yes, I was inspired too! Felt good. Hope the good days continue! 4y
CocoReads Today was ....weird. We weren‘t slammed at work but I didn‘t get my project done. One of our techs had a family emergency so we had to rearrange duties as best we could. But her emergency was that her BIL committed suicide. The weird part is that it was actually a murder-suicide and he (the brother in law) works at the same place as my husband. Not the same department but they knew each other. Tragic all around. 4y
CocoReads So I‘m not sure how tomorrow‘s going to be because I anticipate she won‘t be back until next week and we‘re already down a couple people due to vacations. But mostly I feel really awful for her and her family. 4y
DieAReader Happy you‘ve had some good days @Andrew65 🥰Productive day so far. Got the lawn done & have been💥Litsy🤪😈to catch up on posts. I‘ve been a bit behind again, but only because of some ADHD & OCD fights over books lists, TBRs, etc...🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Just plugging in🎶 now to lower a sudden spike in anxiety😬. Some computer stuff to do & then I‘m going to ground 📖🎶 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB 🤞🤞🤞 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads That is awful, sending virtual hug 🥰 4y
Andrew65 @Squidget Enjoy your music and reading. 😊🥰 4y
kezzlou85 Really hot but at least i have felt better than i did yesterday. 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Incredibly hot! 🥵 4y
TheSpineView Lovely beaches! Great day! Still enjoying my grandkids. 4y
TheBookHippie Oooooo so pretty!!! I‘m home no voice. I think it went well 🤷🏽‍♀️ off to editing it goes 4y
tracey38 Lovely beaches as always! I had an ok day again though I dread tomorrow, but at least it's Friday. I put in some vacation time to get some long weekends in July and August just for mental health days, no plans other than relaxation and to get away from work. @CocoReads What a horrible situation! That is just heartbreaking. 4y
TheBookHippie @CocoReads so very sad. Truly sorry. 4y
Texreader AAAAAGH! When they say Texas is the new hotspot all I can say is yep. 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick These pictures look beautiful. Had two very lackluster online calls today with the Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau. Did a little reading & cleaning, too. I welcome these boring days because it's better than chaos. @CocoReads That's terrible. I'm sorry to heat that. You're all in my thoughts. 💖 4y
Tove_Reads @CocoReads OMG, that is absolutely horrible., suicide alone is tragic, but add the murder on top. Many people are now scarred for life. 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 Checking in late (yet again!)...I‘m having trouble with my posts—they‘re not posting!—so I‘ll just say this: One more day at work & then it‘s the weekend! Hope yours is nice & restful!! 😂♥️ 4y
gradcat @TheBookHippie I hope your so 4y
gradcat @TheBookHippie I hope you speech & podcast went well...sorry you‘ve lost your voice, though...♥️ 4y
IamIamIam D'oh, I missed yesterday! Lol, my son and I took a bike ride yesterday on the local bike path and I realized halfway through that I hadn't really ridden since I was 12! Lol, I spent the afternoon playing Animal Crossing because it was hard to move. My heart is with you all @CocoReads. 4y
TheBookHippie @gradcat I hope so too!!! Scratchy this morning making tea! 4y
Andrew65 @gradcat Thanks, hoping to get stuck into reading. 4y
Andrew65 @Texreader Sorry to hear this. Stay safe. 🥰 4y

Today Monkstone and Monkstone Point in Wales.

How was the middle of the week for you?

#dailychexkin

TheSpineView So far the week has been good. Hopefully the rest of your week will be pleasant! 🤞 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView Been very hot today. Been involved in planning curriculum for next year today and school Improvement Planning for next year so nice to have some time to plan normal things. Although with 3 1/2 weeks to go very concerned about the massive drop off in children/parents engaging with the distance learning over the past couple of weeks. 😢 (edited) 4y
See All 35 Comments
TheBookHippie Have to give a speech tomorrow and do a podcast so I‘ve been trying to gather thoughts 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ 4y
TheSpineView @Andrew65 I hadn't thought about the effect this would have on parent involvement. I guess it is a case of out of sight out of mind. I feel for you and others that have to deal with it.😔 4y
BookwormM Very hot and very busy and I officially get one worker back part time next week 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Good luck! 😊👍🥰 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView Fallen off a cliff recently! Apathy seems to be around us! This is going to be increasingly difficult to recover from. 4y
Andrew65 @BookwormM So so hot, too hot 🥵 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB That‘s better for LFC! ⚽️ 4y
CocoReads Not bad for hump day. Decently busy at work but with actual pharmacy stuff, not BS busy work. 4y
TheBookHippie @Andrew65 no one wants to hear it but thanks 🤣🤣🤣 I think I‘m ready. 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Work has been pretty standard and I'm in the office today. The NJ Governor, along with NY & CT, are implementing a 14-day quarantine of visitors for certain states where cases are spiking. It just feels like 1 step forward, 2 steps back. I've seen people in town hugging & kissing friends after being cooped up for months. I don't know that tourists are the problem. @TheBookHippie Good luck, Christine! 4y
TheBookHippie @CocoReads yay for no busy work! 4y
TheBookHippie @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick thanks ! Teen moms and education. No one really wants to hear what I have to say ...however I‘m going to say it. 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @TheBookHippie But that's why we love you! 4y
TheBookHippie @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick ❤️❤️❤️🤣✌🏻 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Want versus needs to hear it! 4y
Andrew65 @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick The problems in communities do start with home! 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads At the moment that is good! 4y
TrishB I was just about to post that my day had improved greatly 😁 nearly there ⚽️ 🏆🤞🏻 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB Sport has been such a miss! 4y
tracey38 🙋‍♀️ I'm in one of the states in the article you posted where NY is asking people to self quarantine if coming from that state @Andrew65 🤦‍♀️ And yet people still don't want to wear masks, want to gather. I just want to get through work as quick as possible and go home. This is definitely going to take a long time to recover from and people just make it hard to even get to a point we can see recovery on the horizon. 4y
tracey38 Hot and humid here. Work was busy but still seemed to go slow. But it wasn't bad. I love today's pictures. They just seem so calm and serene. 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 It does many people are not prepared to take the action to get cases of the virus right down! Pure madness and selfishness. They might not die but many others will! This talk of freedoms, what freedoms to kill others! We all have to take some compromise on our freedoms for a while to get on top of this! Those freedoms will return. All these demonstrations don‘t help. It is a just and right cause that I fully support but now is not the 👇 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 time for these demonstrations especially when we know this virus is a greater risk of serious consequences and death to BAME. 4y
tracey38 @Andrew65 it makes me so made when they talk about the rise in cases and some people just say "but how many deaths" like people being sick isn't enough. They have found there are some longer term issues related to COVID and there is so much they don't know yet. You're right, it's pure selfishness. People only care about themselves nowadays. 4y
gradcat @TheBookHippie Good luck on your speech & podcast! Which podcast are you doing, if I may be so nosy...? 4y
gradcat @BookwormM Glad you‘re getting some help...hope it eases your days...♥️ 4y
gradcat @tracey38 Which state are you in? We‘re in the “steady” column now—Louisiana—but surrounded by surging states. It‘s hot & humid here, so you must be fairly close, right? ♥️ 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 Here‘s me checking in late, as usual...with nothing much to report, so I‘ll just say that I a wish you a good day tomorrow! ♥️ 4y
TheBookHippie @gradcat it‘s for an alternative high school 4y
TheBookHippie @tracey38 agree. Just wear your mask people 🤦🏽‍♀️ 4y

A Palace and Castle theme to today‘s pictures with visits to Lamphey and Manorbier.

How has Sunday been for you?

Birdsong28 Love the pictures. It's been really chilled today. Hope you have had chance to relax 📚📖 4y
IamIamIam Gorgeous!!! 😍😍 Today is Father's Day in the States so we're hanging outside enjoying life!! Hope everyone has a great day!! 4y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick So far so good! Visiting the in-laws - the backyard is hot, even in the shade, but I'll survive. A couple of the cousins are visiting at a safe distance so I'm looking for an opportunity to duck around the side to read in silence. I hope you're all having a good day! 4y
TheSpineView I had a wonderful day! The grandkids are here and we have played all day. I'm tired and know I will sleep well tonight. 4y
Andrew65 @Birdsong28 Yes tried to relax today, but just spent about an hour on emails. Pleased to hear you‘ve had a chilled weekend. 4y
RachelAmphlett I was only talking about Manobier castle to my other half last night - it‘s one of my favourites! 4y
Andrew65 @IamIamIam Strange how the U.K. has a different date for Mother‘s Day but the same date for Father‘s Day. Has a been a relaxing day and some sun showers today. 😊 4y
Andrew65 @RachelAmphlett How is that for timing and coincidences. And agree it is. 😍 4y
Andrew65 @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Have a good day, and good luck with your reading 😊👍 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView I‘ve been very tired all weekend, pleased to hear you‘ve had a great weekend. 😊👍 4y
TrishB I said that today about Mother‘s/Fathers day. Apparently Mother‘s Day has always been in the separate calendars, usually dictated by Church. Fathers Day is a recent invention (of capitalism). Today was ok, footie back for us, but result or the match not the best! 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB Yea it may take a time for teams to warm up and get back to peak form. Also to get used in playing in an empty stadium. Interesting information re mother and Father‘s Day. 4y
CocoReads Home from work. It was a fairly busy day, at least for me. Keeping the meds stocked to get the hospital through until tomorrow morning. Sometimes it‘s hard to anticipate what they‘ll need. But I have a roast in the crockpot and oldest is coming over for Father‘s Day (and food). Tomorrow off and I‘m pretty stoked about it. Even if it rains all day-that‘s great reading weather! 4y
BookwormM After a couple of days where I had no energy for Litsy I am back again. Still not allowed to see anyone so missed Father‘s Day as well as mum & Dad‘s birthdays. Got email that my Library will reopen in July so excited. 4y
Velvetfur More gorgeous blue in those pics 💙 I've visited the parents today and given Father's Day presents, now I'm at home and about to have dinner while catching up on another episode of 'The New Pope' on the tablet 🙂 Also did a workout for the first time in quite a few days, I can already tell that I'll feel it tomorrow...! Hope you're having a good weekend 👍🏻 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads Have a great day tomorrow and enjoy the roast. 😊 4y
Andrew65 @BookwormM Great to see you back here. Still no contact at all from my library and nothing on their website. 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur Good luck for tomorrow and the stiffness. 😳 Tried to have a quiet weekend as very tired. 4y
tracey38 Good day today. A bit of cleaning and laundry. Bit of reading. My poor lab got stung in the leg by a wasp or bee, don't know which, but gave her a benadryl and she is fine. Now back to reading. Really dreading the work week so doing everything to not think about it. 4y
CocoReads @tracey38 hope you have a good week! I‘m dreading going back on Tuesday, only because it‘s crunch time for some of my jobs and I‘m not sure I‘ll be able to get them done. 4y
tracey38 @CocoReads thank you. I wish you a good week when you go back on Tuesday as well. ❤ 4y
kezzlou85 @tracey38 aww your poor dog. Glad she's okay hope the week goes well. 4y
tracey38 @kezzlou85 thanks. She seemed perfectly fine after the benadryl, thank goodness. 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 Sorry I missed you guys. I‘ve been in bed with a terrible migraine, but I‘m finally coming out of it today. Ugh! ♥️ 4y
Andrew65 @gradcat That‘s good news. Sending a virtual hug. 🥰 4y

Today Llanreath and Angle in Pembrokeshire.

How was the end of the week for you? Reasonably quiet day as I wrote the letter to inform parents that we will start a wider reopening next week, taking in Year 6 who want to return. Be interesting to see how this goes down, so far been very supportive when we said we are not reopening. Not sure how this change of stance will go down. Only expecting a small number to return on Monday.

CocoReads It‘s my day off since I‘m working the weekend. It‘s been very quiet since my hubs was called into work and although he only worked til about noon, he works an hour away. He did pick up sandwiches for our lunch so that was nice and oldest is coming for dinner tonight (carryout pizza). I do needed the quiet today so I‘m happy. 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads Sounds a good day, enjoy every moment of it. You deserve it. 🥰 4y

Susanita Better today! My coworker sent me a very apropos video that made me laugh so hard I‘m glad I wasn‘t drinking anything at the time. 4y
Andrew65 @Susanita That‘s great! We all need a snorting laugh at some points, hope it‘s made you feel better. 🥰 4y
kezzlou85 Been a good day. Had some exercise fun with my girls and an attempt to do an a to z of lockdown which the teacher really liked. 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Sounds great! Have a good weekend. 4y
TheSpineView Sounds like you had a better day. I think we are all overdue for better days. Mine was uneventful so I call that good. 4y
TrishB Meetings, but Friday. ❤️ have a good weekend! 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB You too. 🥰 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView Yes in these days uneventful is good. 😍 4y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Oh good!! I hope the numbers stay low for you!! Today was a great day! I can‘t cut my own toenails but I went to my podiatrist and he did them. I was starting to look like Howard Hughes. LOL...This hip doesn‘t allow me much latitude-I can‘t even get a sock on my right foot, so I gave up this winter and went without socks. Have a great weekend, Andrew! 4y
Crazeedi Good luck on your reopening @Andrew65 . I spent today tidying gardens, we finally had some rain. But the storm last night fried our wifi modem, so I only have cell till they bring new box, thankfully I have unlimited gig. Picking snap peas, lettuce, radishes and onions! 4y
Andrew65 @Crazeedi The trial of the Risk Assessment with the key workers went well so the approach is limiting risk as much as I possibly can. A great garden feast! 4y
Andrew65 @JanuarieTimewalker13 Fingers crossed, can reduce risk as much as possible but not eliminate it. Numbers much lower in our local area this week, well worth waiting the three weeks since schools expected to open. 4 weeks to Summer Break. Have a great weekend 🥰 4y
Itchyfeetreader Good luck for Monday 4y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Those 4 weeks can‘t come fast enough!!! I‘m happy numbers are lower!! Have a great weekend!! You deserve it!!☮️ 4y
Andrew65 @Itchyfeetreader Thanks 😊👍 4y
Andrew65 @JanuarieTimewalker13 They can‘t, bu that time I will have worked 5 months without a day‘s break! And thanks, hope you have a great weekend too. 😊🥰👍 4y
DieAReader Haven‘t been up for much posting lately, but I love the pics @Andrew65 🥰 Had a video Neurologist apt yesterday & suffice it to say that I was so mad I spent the next several hours walking off “my mood”! Was so 😡 that I left the house with no reading material 😳When I talked to my mom later all she could do was 😱🤣It‘s a “mark your calendar” event cause in 35 years, it has rarely happened! When I got home, I chewed up lots of pages until 4am🤪📚 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 I‘m thinking I missed a day? Here‘s my problem: I get so confused when I‘m responding here, because I‘m not sure where I left off, if you get me. Anyway, I‘ll withhold comment until I reach Saturday‘s post (unless this IS Saturday‘s post, in which case, oops!)...♥️ 4y

More beautiful locations today, visiting Lawrenny and Cresswell Quay.

How was the middle of the week for you? For me the less said about today the better. Is it over yet?

#DailyCheckIn

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Sorry you had a bad day! I had two group calls today where we were talked at so any motivation I had went out the window! My day started off well when I saw a puppy Boston Terrier while walking my own then watched a little bee struggling to move forward against the strong winds. I need to go get a few things from the store but I really don't feel up to it. I'm about to call my guy to see if he's leaving work soon to convince him to go.😁 🤞 4y
Andrew65 Thanks, one just to forget! I feel emotionally drained following today. Hope you have a good second half of the day. 4y

TrishB Hope tomorrow is better Andrew. I was only in half day today, 3 meetings but all ok. 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB Please let it be better tomorrow! Pleased to hear you had a good day, hope your head wasn‘t too sensitive this morning. 4y
Velvetfur Sorry to hear you feel so drained Andrew, I hope you sleep well tonight and feel refreshed in the morning. I went to visit my parents for a few hours today so that was nice... Oh and I bought peonies in Tesco yesterday so watching them gradually unfold is making me happy! 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur Hopefully because I am in school all day tomorrow. Sounds a good day for you. 4y
CocoReads Sorry you had a bad day. Mine was busy but with stupid stuff. And had my mid year review-it went surprisingly well. Too bad there‘s no raises to go with it. 🤷‍♀️ my coworker does NOT have covid so that was welcome news. 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads That‘s good news about your colleague 🍾🥂 Well done on the review. 😊👍 4y
TrishB Slightly delicate this morning! Drank lots of juice and went for a long walk before starting work! 4y
Birdsong28 Totally agree with you about less said about today. It's been crap at work today customers moaning at me, managers moaning at me but I am off till Monday now so I can forget about it and get lost in a few good books. I should have been going to Gardener's World In Birmingham with my mum this weekend but it got cancelled so I'll just relax. Sending you lots of postive thoughts and energy your way 😊📚📖 4y
TheSpineView Hope tomorrow is better! I left work early so I could go to the barn and ride. Just got home and I'm tired but in a good way. Just need to find the energy to fix dinner. 4y
tracey38 I hope tomorrow is better for you. I am sorry today was just a bad one. You don't deserve those days with all you have to deal with. I'm afraid I'm going to have that type of day tomorrow. But today was just ok. 4y
tracey38 @Velvetfur I love peonies. They're my favorite but I almost never find them. 4y
tracey38 @CocoReads same here. We have reviews soon but no raises this year! 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB Sounds a good plan! 4y
Andrew65 @Birdsong28 Thanks, sounds similar to me - staff, parents morning! Love the plan for the next few days. A shame that you can‘t go to Gardeners World. (edited) 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView Thanks, can‘t be much worse. Good idea for the end of day. 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 People issues always the worst to deal with. And thanks 🥰 Sending best wishes and positive thoughts for your tomorrow. 😊 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 @CocoReads That is disgusting! 4y
CocoReads Eh, we already knew no raises. On the plus side they did approve us getting a new pharmacy, which is desperately needed as our IV equipment is well out of date. 4y
kezzlou85 Not the best my car was dead again yesterday so now gotta wait until Tuesday to get it in to find out what's wrong. Knowing my luck expensive. 4y
Velvetfur @tracey38 Yes they do seem to be hard to find, so I was surprised to find them in a supermarket! I hope you have a good day today xxx 4y
IamIamIam I was MIA most of the day for my son's moving up ceremony! It was bittersweet but they did a really nice job acknowledging each child and we celebrated with close family on our driveway, lol. Crummy weather today for Thursday so that means laundry and reading! Lol 4y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I feel like I‘m living on another planet.. just so depressing.. 🙁🙁🙁 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads No raises stinks! 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Oh no! Sending positive thoughts. 😊 4y
Andrew65 @IamIamIam Yep, rain all day here! ☔️ 4y
Andrew65 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Sending positive thoughts, but I know exactly what you mean. 😫🥰 4y
kezzlou85 @Andrew65 thank you. 4y
tracey38 @Velvetfur thank you! 💛 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 Sorry about that, Andrew...hope tomorrow is better... ♥️ 4y
Andrew65 @gradcat It was thankfully. 4y

More pictures from Pembrokeshire today, from Blackpool (Welsh version) and Landshipping.

How has Tuesday been for you today? Overall I‘ve had a good a day, and just had one of the most special moments of Lockdown. Our Year 2 parents have produced a video with music and children thanking us for all that we have done for them and the children over the period of lockdown. So so special. 💓 😢😭

#DailyCheckIn

Velvetfur Oh that video sounds fantastic! That's so sweet and adorable of them to do that for you! I'm so happy for you to have gotten that 🙂 Oh and I love that picture in the top left, that bridge is so Lord Of The Rings 😍 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 For once, I‘m on time to check in. That video from the parents must have tugged at your heartstrings. I‘m so glad that they appreciate you & your co-workers. I know a little appreciation can go a long way. Cheers, Andrew! 4y

Velvetfur I went to Tesco today for food, had to shelter under a tree from some heavy rain on way home, made my way home after it eased off but it started again so I got a little bit wet just as I got home - then Liverpool got battered by an absolutely apocalyptic storm! Thunder, lightning, a monsoon, and massive hard hailstones - all at once! Unbelievable to watch through my window.... 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur They are great pictures today, agree incredibly touched by that video. 😊 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Andrew the video sounds wonderful! I am the manager on duty today at the hotel. Luckily the support team is strong so I wasn't needed for most of the days duties. However, just having to check on a few things and stopping to do little tasks that are time consuming and necessary but, ultimately, non-productive make me so glad that I can continue working from home. I'm here at least another hour, but by this point I can sit in my office and work. 4y
Andrew65 @gradcat Plenty if tears shed by all, our parents have been brilliant over this! That appreciation does go a long long way. Speaking to one head today who has had nothing but grief from her parents. 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur My autistic traits mean I HATE getting wet in the rain, also hate snow and never wanted to play out in snow even as a child. Thought we were going to have a thunderstorm today but never arrived. 4y
IamIamIam That's really sweet! I'm so glad they appreciate you guys! Rough day as we did class pick up and my favorite school aides and everyone's favorite custodian were there so I broke down and cried! *sigh* I've organized our families to be at our house after we're done so my son gets a small celebration. 💜 4y
Andrew65 @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Hope the rest of the day goes smoothly for you, think we have all got used to working from home. 4y
IamIamIam Tomorrow is his moving up drive by 4y
Andrew65 @IamIamIam That sounds so 😢 but so great. What a wonderful thing to do for your for your son. 🥰 (edited) 4y
Smrloomis Aw that is lovely to hear 💗💗💗 4y
Birdsong28 Aww that sounds really lovely. You deserve it after all your hard work. 4y
TheSpineView So glad to hear that the children and parents recognized all that was done. That was wonderful. Today was good. Cool, windy and rainy which is not what we normally get this time of year. I just enjoyed the cooler temperatures. 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView So surprised by this video, and that makes it even more special. Amongst everything else today we also sorted out the new classes for the new school year, a very big and long task. Sorted out 10 classes today, four more classes tomorrow. So all round been a busy day. 4y
TrishB That video sounds amazing ❤️❤️ been on leave today as my daughters birthday. Having cocktails now (she‘s 19!!) good job I have tomorrow morning off too 😁 4y
TheBookHippie Awe how sweet. Much deserved! I set up book pick up for kiddos today! I got curbside library books first day to do that!!!!!! Making grocery list. These pictures are beautiful! 4y
TheSpineView @Andrew65 Hopefully things will run smooth!🤞😊 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Thanks, just managed to get hold of some new books to distribute. 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView Can‘t wait for a time all here children can be in class together. 🤞 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB Thanks. Happy Birthday to your daughter. 🍾🥂 Sounds like tomorrow morning off is a good idea. 😳 4y
Ms_T Wonderful! 💓 4y
CocoReads Very sweet about the video. Today was ok but not great as a coworker called in and has some symptoms. She‘ll be getting tested and will be out at least the rest of the week while waiting for results. The good news is, I haven‘t been near her since last Thursday. The bad news is, I have been around her. Plus I have an aunt with an actual diagnosis, her husband is asymptomatic, and another Uncle was in the hospital last night with chest pain. 👇 4y
CocoReads He had blockage and they put a stent in, he‘s home but so scary. I‘m over this year already, can we fast forward? 4y
Andrew65 @Ms_T 🥰 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads I‘m with you on fast forwarding. Sending positive thoughts at this tough time for you 🥰 Stay strong and totally here for you. This virus is all too real! 😢 (edited) 4y
CocoReads Thank you @Andrew65! I guess I just needed to vent a bit. It really wasn‘t too bad a day all things considered. But I do worry about my people. 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads And that‘s exactly what these posts are for, feel free to vent away. We are all here for you. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. 🤞🥰 4y
kezzlou85 Well my wonderful neighbour and local MOT master was able to get my car started and then charged my battery. One relief. Home learning was a bit of a washout so we had fun with Maths related fortune tellers. 4y
tracey38 Oh what an adorable and sweet thing for the parents and kids to do @Andrew65 ? I know that had to make you feel good. My day was busy but ok. I think tomorrow is when my manager is going to have the "sit-down" with me and the coworker who screamed at me Friday and I'm anxious. And worried that's all that will come of it. We'll see. I really don't want to have a sit-down with her. ? 4y
Itchyfeetreader My first day back getting the office ready yesterday I walked 15k steps and crashed and burned when I got home. 4y

Apologies, a bit late tonight but been putting in new systems in place for school tomorrow as we implement the new risk assessment. How has your Sunday been? I‘ve felt a bit on edge today most probably because of the systems we have put into place.

Today on the virtual tour we visited Saint Ishmael‘s, Galliswick and entered the Deep Sea Port of Milford Haven (pictures on right hand side.

TheBookHippie I‘m agitated today 🤣🤣🤷🏽‍♀️ but otherwise doing okay...wishing you luck! Fingers crossed for you! Such hard decisions. 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Think we are both agitated today, felt very restless and quite hard to concentrate on my reading. Thanks. 😊 4y

CocoReads Not much reading done as we went to oldests to help cut up some limbs that came down in last week‘s storms. Plus that headache keeps lurking in the background. But I did get a little reading in and did some yoga this morning which went better than yesterday‘s yoga. Not looking forward to work tomorrow. 🤞fingers crossed for you and I‘ll be keeping you in my thoughts tomorrow. 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads I know the feeling, I‘m not looking forward to tomorrow. Feeling quite anxious about things today. Very unrested today. Hope headaches improve for you. Good luck for tomorrow. 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick The tour stops look so pretty. Itching to explore again. I'm at my brother's house today. We aren't hugging & kissing, but it's good to see my bro, SIL, & 2 nieces. Me & my are here as well as one of our friends for about 30 years. The sun is out, the beers are cold, the dog is running around, and the bean bags for cornhole are sufficiently filled. I am having a nice day. It would be great if my niece wasn't against reading for fun. 😆 4y
Andrew65 @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Sounds a great day, enjoy. 😊 4y
TheSpineView Had a lovely day. Rode this morning before it got hot then spent the afternoon at the lake. Just chillin' for a few minutes before I start dinner. My thoughts will be with you tomorrow. Hope things go well. 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView Thanks 😊 Sounds like you are having a good day. 4y
DieAReader Decent day today thankfully. I was in a bear of a mood yesterday. 😬🤷🏻‍♀️Some reading done, but not much. You‘re in my thoughts @Andrew65 🙏🏻🥰 4y
Andrew65 @Squidget That is happening to a lot of us, a rollercoaster of emotions. Thanks 🥰 4y
TrishB I hope tomorrow goes ok Andrew 🤞🏻 will be thinking about you. My niece called by today and we all sat out and caught up with things. It was nice to see a different face. Though no hugs is still weird! Not looking forward to the usual manic Monday. 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB Thanks, hope you have a reasonably peaceful Monday morning. Grit to be able to see people at least, although hugs would be good. 4y
Velvetfur I love that blue of the water in the top left pic 💙 Good luck for tomorrow, I hope you'll sleep alright tonight. I've just been reading today, and pottering, dunno where the day's gone really. 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur The days seem to go by so quickly! Can‘t be,I even it‘s almost midsummer‘s day, we‘ve lost Spring amongst this mess! (edited) 4y
Velvetfur @TrishB What did you think of that epic storm last night?! I was sitting in bed whimpering as I was scared! I mean, that lightening.... That's sweet that you had that time with your niece today 🙂 4y
Velvetfur @Andrew65 I think we went from Winter straight into Summer! So maybe Spring is happening now 🙂 I've just noticed a mistake in my previous message, I meant the blue on the top right pic, not left... I'm tired 😂 4y
tracey38 I had a good day. Other than laundry, I just read and had a nap. I didn't really want a nap because it just made the day go by quicker, but couldn't help it. 🛌 I started a new book today and could have finished it today, too, had it not been for said nap. 😉 Trying hard not to think about tomorrow. 4y
Texreader I had a good relaxing day, which was very much needed after a really quite horrible week last week. Back to the grind tomorrow. Hope the worry doesn‘t keep me awake! Good luck to you too Andrew! Will be thinking about you! 4y
kezzlou85 Hope the new systems work for you and that you managed some sleep. 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 Just dropping in...I‘m very behind, so I‘ll catch up with you on a later post! ♥️ 4y

More stunning coastlines at Marloes and Dale. 😍

How has Saturday been for you? My favourite day of the week and tried to get away from everything today, except reading as I tackle the #JoysofJuneReadathon. Late this afternoon we decided to take on the 120 mile each way journey to Cleveleys near Blackpool. Worth it fir a few hours just to get away. Sat hear looking out to sea.

#DailyCheckin

TheBookHippie Been reading outside all day! Stopped to check in to say thanks for this daily check in . It has been such a gift! Also the readathon. Just the thing to do this weekend! 4y
BookwormM Sounds lovely. I had a rare lay in until 9am , zoom with friends and reading 4y

kezzlou85 Sounds like a lovely day for you. Was great to see the sun again. Chilled out mostly and played with my youngest. Amazing what you can do with a bowl of water. 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Thanks, that‘s why we do the check in to try and help everyone‘s well-being, like with the week long readathons too. Enjoy your reading and take some well deserved you time, because you‘re worth it! 😊 4y
Andrew65 @BookwormM Sounds a great leisurely day 😊 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Definitely good to see a bit of sun again. Has been a nice relaxing day for once. Sounds like you‘ve had a good day too. 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Looks like another beautiful stop on our tour today. Andrew, I'm glad the spots were benign! 💛 I baked cupcakes for a work potluck at their request. I didn't stay to eat due to Covid but I couldn't disappoint my fans! 😁 It's just a box mix but they enjoy it. Otherwise I'm doing some cleaning & still have to go to the store for a few things. At least the weather is nice so the windows are open to let in a nice breeze and the sun is shining. 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 So glad you got a respite! I have remembered (in case you were wondering 😂) that the Readathon starts today. Isn‘t that right? Anyway, I‘m reading, so at least I‘ve remembered this one! 👍♥️ 4y
Andrew65 @gradcat Yey! Yes it did start today. 😊👍 Having a me day today. 😊 4y
Andrew65 @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Thanks 😊, Cupcakes sounds good, safe enough for all of us 🤣 🧁 The weather can make all the difference. (edited) 4y
Itchyfeetreader Lovely - I miss the sea! The weather this morning made such a difference to my spirits 4y
Andrew65 @Itchyfeetreader Me too and why we decided to come but at a quieter time of day. The weather makes such a difference. (edited) 4y
CocoReads Beautiful! The weather is lovely although I r got another headache so I‘ve stayed in today. Did some reading, took a nap. I figure I might get some good outside time in tomorrow since it‘ll be nice again. 4y
TheSpineView So glad you had the chance to get away. It does so much for your mental health. That is why I go to the barn and ride every chance I get. Which I did today and feel so much better. 4y
Velvetfur I love those beautiful blues in the photos! And I'm so glad to hear of what a lovely day you've had, finally getting away from it all! I started making a dream catcher today, I might finish it tomorrow 🙂 I've been watching videos on Twitter of the idiots in London today, it's scary that we have to share a country with these types 😡 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads Hope you get to enjoy it and it helps the headaches. 😊 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView It has certainly helped. 😊 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur Frightening what they are doing in the protests. It is an important message but now is not the time for mass protests, and violence is totally unacceptable! 4y
tracey38 Oh I didn't see this post yesterday. I did absolutely nothing yesterday but read. Finished the book I was in the middle of that I'll post this morning. Glad you had a lovely day @Andrew65 and beautiful pictures as always! 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 Yes, enjoyed yesterday. 😊 Sounds like you had a good day too. 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 So glad you managed to get that”Me Day” in...♥️ 4y

Today the locations of Saint Brides and Talbenny.

How was the end of the week? Despite Mayor‘s decision decided not to open the school to a wider Group of children. Put potential date of 22nd in as time to take in Y6, and if still capacity take in Y1 on 29th. Very few saying want to send children back.
On the good news front Lesions on liver benign. Still no real reasons for pains or how real with them though. Doctor mentioned possibly 👇

Andrew65 ☝️ hypersensitive to pain. My wife did research and said this is an autistic trait. Always considered myself with strong autistic traits, but obviously not fashion to look into this when I was young. Always felt different. 4y
TheBookHippie @Andrew65 AH. My adult nephew with autism has severe stomach trouble they contribute to autism. Mind gut thing they told us. Hope you get solutions. Sending HOPE! 4y

BookwormM The mind is a powerful thing. Good news that there is not a liver issue. Busy few days at work now time to relax 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Thanks, relieved about the lesions. Mind gut sums me up. 😂 if I could only get my brain to shut down occasionally! (edited) 4y
Andrew65 @BookwormM Thanks, yes relieved. I‘m hopefully to hide away in my reading this weekend, or at least most of it. 4y
Suet624 Wow. I didn‘t know you were having medical issues. Sorry to hear this. 4y
Andrew65 @Suet624 Thanks been ongoing for about 11 months. Quite a few tests but still no real resolution. (edited) 4y
TheBookHippie @Andrew65 if you figure that out I‘d be ever so grateful I seem to have this in massive amounts. 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie I know 😔 Me too! 4y
TheAromaofBooks Great news that the lesions are benign... I've definitely read that being under a lot of stress can cause pain & other physical ailments - have known two people who were suffering from severe nausea with no discernable cause... in the end were helped by anti-anxiety medicine as the nausea was being caused by stress/anxiety. You're definitely under a lot of stress!! Hope you are able to get some rest & balance soon!!! 4y
Andrew65 @TheAromaofBooks Thanks, for this post, possibly sums things up nicely! May be something to discuss with the doctor. Hope to escape into reading this weekend. Hope you have a great weekend. 🥰 (edited) 4y
CocoReads Good news about the liver @Andrew65 ! I agree that looking into so@etching for anxiety may help. End of my week was pretty good—we weren‘t too busy and our IT guy even bought us lunch. Maybe he feels bad that he can‘t fix our printer. 🤣🤣 looking forward to lots of rest and reading this weekend! 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads 😂 What is it about printers, why can‘t they ever fix them. Yes reading and weekends, aaah! 😍 Thanks, yes anxiety is a route worth exploring. I do tend to over process things! 4y
IamIamIam Good news on the liver!!! 👌 My husband took a day off so we went out on the island to a local brewery and just took it easy! Long Island has 2 counties, primarily, and Suffolk County wasn't hit nearly as hard as Nassau, where we live, which has a lot of commuters from NYC. It was nice to just get out and be relatively normal! Go Phase 2!! 4y
TrishB That‘s good news Andrew 👍🏻 been busy but now relaxing ❤️ 4y
tracey38 Great news on the liver! I agree on stress and stomach issues going hand and hand. Hope they can figure something out for you so you can get relief. Have they looked into ulcers? I've had those as well. I hate that I always feel like I am a complainer here but I had the worst afternoon. I was verbally attacked by a coworker this afternoon. Talked to my manager and was told I did nothing wrong and she'd do something about it but I have little hope. 4y
tracey38 Then had a panic attack and had to go sit in my car for awhile. I just don't know what to do anymore. It's not like this is a good time to job hunt with the pandemic! Life is so unfair and I truly don't understand how people act the way they do in this day in age. So now I'm getting a migraine I'm trying to keep back so I can relax with a book or something. 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB Thanks. Good news amongst an exceptionally busy week. 4y
Andrew65 @IamIamIam Thanks. Your day sounds great. 😊 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 Thanks, had the camera down into the stomach in September, a bit of gastritis but nothing major at that time. You shouldn‘t have to deal with issues like that from co-workers and not good enough if not sorted as shows it‘s okay to do that. We should be safe to do our job in our work place. 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 Hope things I prove for you as you have had a tough time lately. Sending best wishes in your direction and a virtual hug. 🥰 4y
veritysalter Great news about your liver @Andrew65, I hope you are able to get answers soon. I know the stress of going to the doctors in great pain and them being unable to find the cause. I finally had a diagnosis (scar tissue damage from a previous surgery), I was all set for the op to fix it and then COVID-19 happened, so I‘m still mostly bed bound and waiting. 🤞🏻for a speedy resolution for you. (edited) 4y
Velvetfur Good for you with the liver news Andrew! 👍🏻 Interesting about pain linked to autism though, I hadn't heard that, makes sense though (in my mind). I suspect I might be autistic too, we'll both have to see how an adult would get tested or diagnosed (when there's time!). 4y
Velvetfur @tracey38 I'm so sorry to hear of all this stress, no wonder you're getting a migraine 😕 I really hope it gets sorted out at work quickly for you, and I'm sending you lots of hugs xxx 4y
Andrew65 @veritysalter Really sorry to hear that, hope you get some resolution soon. Take care and thanks. 😊 (edited) 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur That would be interesting and thanks. 🥰 4y
CarolynM In my experience, anxiety goes hand in hand with autism. In the upside down world we've been living in, and particularly in extreme circumstances you've been dealing with, I'm not at all surprised that any autism traits you might have are more pronounced. I'm glad the lesions are benign and sincerely hope you are relieved of the anxiety soon. (edited) 4y
Itchyfeetreader That‘s good news Andrew. I don‘t know if this is your sort of thing but i find when I am tired or stressed I feel a physical pain where my cancer scar tissue is - in real terms it can‘t actually hurt only drag on things that do so I work on the principle it‘s about the stress and anxiety. I have found some deep breathing and gentle yoga sequences can help. Good luck finding something to help with the pain 4y
Crazeedi @tracey38 so sorry to hear this, sending a big hug and strength to endure🥰 4y
Crazeedi @veritysalter still sending you my prayers and hugs. I hope your surgery gets scheduled very soon dear Verity🥰 4y
TheSpineView I am so glad to hear your good news. So frustrating that they can't find the cause of your problems. I had a good day. Just the normal stuff, well as normal as it can be now. 4y
PaperbackPirate I hope you feel better! Good luck with back to school. In my state we‘ve had a big spike in cases since we reopened before recommended. Most parents surveyed aren‘t ready to send their kids back. I don‘t think we should go back until we flatten our curve here. It doesn‘t make sense to go when there are more cases now than when we stayed home. No easy answer. 4y
tracey38 @Andrew65 @Velvetfur @Crazeedi thank you so much! 💛💛💛 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 Oh, Andrew! While I‘m plenty relieved that the lesions are benign, I‘m so sorry that you still don‘t have an answer. I know how that is—you must be very frustrated! It can make you doubt what you‘re feeling sometimes when you don‘t have a cause for pain. But hang in there—it took my doctors over a year to diagnose an autoimmune illness... I thought I was losing my mind. I‘m sorry you‘re going through this. Have you gotten any relief? 4y
Andrew65 @gradcat Thanks 🥰 Hopefully know no major issue there will help the pains ease off. 🤞 Onwards and upwards. (edited) 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView Thanks 😊 Hopefully it will resolve itself. 4y
Andrew65 @PaperbackPirate Thanks, hoping things will ease off knowing no major problem. Feel schools going back too soon as you indicate. We have very few wanting to send the children back. Not much will be achieved with 5 weeks to the Summer Holidays. 4y

Time to stop today on our virtual tour at the beaches in Penycwm and Newgake. Simply beautiful and a cave on the beach to explore on Newgale Beach.

How has the middle of the week been? Thought the days & weeks were intense already, but now seem to be becoming even more intense. Media doing me head in. Schools not shut? Why? Schools shut, why aren‘t they open? Open to some children from 1st June! Why, it‘s too dangerous. Not open to wider groups👇

Andrew65 ☝️before the Summer. Why not? Failing children! IT IS NOT SAFE ENOUGH AND AT TWO METRE GAPS CAN ONLY HAVE 8 IN A CLASSROOM so would need three buildings to host all the children and three times as many staff! Ridiculous. Now talking about over the Summer having them in. Teachers will be shot and then next year will be a disaster as staff breakdown. We are on our knees. AND BREATHE! Apologies for the rant but needed to get it off my chest! (edited) 4y
BookwormM Last I heard kids not going back until September apart from those already back but that was this morning so it has probably changed by now 🤣🤣and the advice just gets more bizarre you can now have someone inside and hug them but only if they are single I only know 3 people who live alone one is my nan do she would have to choice which family group to see as only allowed 1 ridiculous 4y
See All 42 Comments
Birdsong28 Rant away. It's good to let it out! Where I work has now upped the amount of customers allowed in from 50 to 100 it is a big shop but when we have families of 4+ it gets crowded with the one way system it is not right 😠 📚📖 4y
Andrew65 @BookwormM Beyond ridiculous and no logic to it all. Now making strong references to Summer Schools. Might be time to just say no! Still expecting Y1, Y6 , Nursery and Reception to be back before the Summer. 4y
Andrew65 @Birdsong28 These things start small, then build and build until it becomes ridiculous! Totally wrong and helping us to build to a second peak. (edited) 4y
BookwormM I can‘t keep up with it all basically I am just doing what I think is sensible shopping online and social distancing 4y
Itchyfeetreader Oh poor you. I really feel for you. I‘m basically still shielding and I am gobsmacked watching people on the road who seem to be pretty much back to normal! (edited) 4y
Itchyfeetreader @Birdsong28 this is what I don‘t understand - people out and about in big groups 4y
TheSpineView I can't begin to imagine the stress you are under. I am just hoping for better days. I am fortunate that I don't have to deal with the public at all. I am not sure I could handle it. My day has been good, kind of slow so I have snuck in some reading. 4y
Andrew65 @Itchyfeetreader I know it really annoys me! What is wrong with people, and thanks 😊 I‘m happiest when I‘m at home and not having to go out. 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView Today has been ridiculous! Can see even bigger problems ahead! Pleased to hear you had a good day and time for some reading! 😊 (edited) 4y
TrishB ☹️☹️ yes, rant away! Im onthe edge of one. I have a catch up with my boss tomorrow and my state of mind is either 😡 or 😢 I‘m escalating between the two every hour. So fed up of it all. 4y
kezzlou85 I thought exactly the same about the media. One minute its you cant open schools its too early now they're saying why aren't schools opening until Sept. They constantly contradict themselves. Its frustrating. You rant away its ridiculous the pressure theyre putting on you all. 4y
IamIamIam Everyone's got something to say when they don't have to worry about the logistics of the situation! We went out for a breather today to a local arboretum and just had a quiet few hours. The kids needed a recharge and I was happy for a break! My county began phase 2 of reopening today & that's a great start! 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick So sorry you're in the thick of this headache, Andrew. They're really isn't a right answer that will please everyone. My guy worked from home today & I get a big fat ZERO in my productivity when he's gone so I came to the office. Not a bad day since I'm the only one up here and have minimal contact with the Manager & desk staff. Heading out soon and hope to do some yoga just to get my body moving. It's my only regular activity right now. 4y
CocoReads Busy day at work. But only 2 ICU covid patients at the bigger place so that‘s good, right? Indiana seems to be barreling along in reopening, Michigan is opening up more. I‘m still doing most of my shopping online and cutting the grocery trips to about every 2-3 weeks. The amount of people not wearing masks still astounds me. So I‘m still mostly work and home. Not comfortable with eating in a restaurant yet. 👇 4y
CocoReads Still doing takeout at work on Wednesday‘s and about once a week or so at home. But our list of where we‘ll order from is very limited. In person book group at the park went well, so weather permitting we‘ll probably continue through the summer and then we‘ll see. My oldest now has the option of going back to her office but there‘s so many restrictions she says she‘ll just keep working at home. 4y
CocoReads Oh and @Andrew65 rant away—we‘ve all had our share of rants and I‘m sure they aren‘t done yet. I know I‘ve had a few and will probably have another one. 🤣🤣 4y
Velvetfur Love to everybody in these comments (and you too Andrew) as I see there's a few difficult situations going on - get your rants out in the open and off your mind! We are all friends here and you have support and good listeners 😁 x 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB Totally agree I‘m fed up of it all too. And fed up with people not taking it seriously. Biggest issues in the North West and North East and Yorkshire, but of course we don‘t matter. All south centric! And I was born and lived my first 21 years in London before moving north. (edited) 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur There is wonderful support here thanks to each and everyone of you, 🥰😍😘 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 I think it‘s the pressure put on everyone running businesses, organisations etc and those working in these places. 😡 4y
Andrew65 @IamIamIam That sounds heavenly, could do with that right now. 4y
Andrew65 @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Yoga also sounds a good idea! Agree what ever you decide upsets half the people. 😡 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads At this point I can‘t ever imagine eating in a restaurant or pub again. We‘re not even doing take always at this point. Love the idea of the park book group. Started another Readathon tonight in preparation for this weekend as I feel there is something else I need to focus on for my well-being. @JoysinJune Readathon The rant helped, so thanks to everyone. 🤪😍 4y
IamIamIam You deserve it!!! Lol, I needed to pull a serious attitude adjustment because I was breaking up fist fights daily... 😫👊 4y
Andrew65 @IamIamIam What is wrong with people. 4y
tracey38 Rant away! We have all had our rants and may have another one or two before this is all done with. Work was busy today and I was asked to help do some work from another clinic who is behind scheduling tests on their patients. Like I don't have enough to do. And I'm just feeling a bit down tonight for whatever reason. But made it through the halfway mark of the workweek. The next two days are our busiest. Hope they go quickly! 4y
tracey38 Love the pictures! And the cave looks quite intriguing! 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 Sending you best wishes and positive thoughts. This too will pass. 😍🥰 Sometimes things just get on top of us. Take care and look after yourself. 4y
tracey38 @Andrew65 thank you. Same to you, Andrew! 4y
TheBookHippie Oh Andrew 😭 ughhhhhhh 4y
TheBookHippie @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick yoga saves me daily!!! 4y
TheBookHippie @tracey38 ACK... we all seem to just swing back and forth .. hoping for calm ! 4y
TheBookHippie @IamIamIam you made me giggle!!!! Thank you! 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @TheBookHippie I do DDPYoga, started by a former wrestler. It's less meditation & poses and more about using dynamic resistance & body weight to get the heart pumping. I've started and stopped after a few weeks about 3 times before but now that I'm home I have the time to stick with it. 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @IamIamIam I'm happy to hear you got out for a while today. After 3 months, we all need a few hours out of the house! 4y
TheBookHippie @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick ooooo now need to look that up. I do the “sun salute” every am and traditional meditation yoga after lunch for 20 min. Keeps me sane. I‘ve been doing restorative yoga the past 2 weeks I‘ve been so achy 4y
Texreader @Andrew65 I‘m sure hoping everything works out soon for you! I can‘t imagine the stress you are under! Work is still stressful working to get computer system up and running. As a cyber security lawyer-at least one of my areas-it fell on my shoulders. But got some great news tonight that things are looking good for our recovery. Also got to visit my parents for 1st time since November. Seeing them had a balming effect on my soul. 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 Omigod! I think I would just curl up in a little ball and never go to work again if I had to face all of those rules & restrictions. I know they‘re necessary, but they‘re so difficult to enforce...as well as complicated...I‘m so glad I don‘t work anymore. I hope you can keep your stress levels down...so sorry for you...take care of yourself, Andrew...I fear your GI system won‘t be happy with all of this.... What a world! 😱 4y
kezzlou85 @Andrew65 yeah you're so right there. The pressure on all is enormous. 4y

Visited Solva today, and so beautiful we decided to hang around for the day.

How has Tuesday been for you? Apologies that I am late tonight. Had to go into school tonight to pick up full PPE equipment and drive it round Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire delivering it to school leaders ready for our Virtual Use of PPE training tomorrow afternoon. Only just got home gone 10 pm, showered and now here I am.

#DailyCheckIn

tracey38 Wow, what a trip you had tonight! 4y
tracey38 My day wasn't fun. I just don't understand some people and why they have to treat others the way they do. In the world as a whole, and in my own clinic with a coworker. I'm doing good ignoring it but I just don't understand. I did apply last night for a promotion within my clinic but I think she did as well. 😫 Still trying to stay positive! Love the pictures as always @Andrew65 4y

CocoReads Hope you get it @tracey38 ! Nice pics @Andrew65–you must be exhausted from all the running around! I‘ve still got an hour left of work (I‘m here til 7 pm) tonight and then it‘s shower, eat something and off to bed since I‘m in at 8 am tomorrow. 4y
tracey38 @CocoReads thanks! Those hours would be so exhausting for me! 4y
Velvetfur Andrew I hope you're already asleep in bed and see these comments tomorrow morning! That's not fair, all the driving round till late like that 😕 I went to the post office to get some letters sent, and did the usual pottering at home... Oh, and my friend in London did an acoustic set with one of her band members on a live stream on YouTube that I watched, so that was something different 😁 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 The things we do. Also sent the 38 page risk assessment to all staff tonight as part of the consultation. Will be interesting to see their response to it. 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 Sending positive thoughts. I agree totally. Some staff amongst all this couldn‘t be more positive and do everything and more, others that do nothing but moan whatever we do. So emotionally exhausting. 🥰 Good luck on the promotion. (edited) 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads That‘s not much turn around time. 💤 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur The YouTube event sounds great, YouTube has been my go to recently. Nope not in bed yet or likely to be for some time. Total Night Owl. Driving not too bad and nice to see one or two people from a social distance of course. 4y
CocoReads @Andrew65 no it‘s not. But it‘s fairly typical. And I usually have to be back at 6:30 am so 8 is actually a blessing even though I generally hate the 8 am shift. Next month I have a couple weeks where I‘m doing the short turn arounds back to back. 4y
TheBookHippie Oy.Vey. Best of luck!!!! Social distanced two teachers today from driveway we all can‘t see school@in September 🤷🏽‍♀️. I‘m almost finished making summer reading bags so that feels good! 4y
IamIamIam Oh my goodness! Be safe! Your staff is lucky to have you!!! These coastlines are incredible!!! They just get more & more beautiful! NYS is moving towards phase 2 in some regions, the city is at phase 1 as of the other day. It will be nice to see everyone moving again! 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Government finally admitted today all groups won‘t be able to go back before the Summer. Although said schools Had to open on 1st data shows only 52% reopened to some year groups last week. 4y
Andrew65 @IamIamIam Thanks, you do what you have to and I don‘t have young children they do. The coastlines are exceptional in Pembrokeshire. 4y
TheSpineView I am just amazed at all the beautiful coastline. ❤🏖 Had a great day. Hope yours was good too! 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView Yes today was a productive day, finally finished the 38 page risk assessment for school. 4y
TheBookHippie @Andrew65 Oh wow !!! I just can‘t see it at 100 percent. 4y
LiteraryinLawrence That sounds exhausting. Rest up! Will you get to take any time for yourself in the near future? I remember you were supposed to be off but worked right through it. 4y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I hope you get some rest Andrew!! 💙 4y
kezzlou85 Gorgeous pics, sounds like an exhausting day. Was an okay one here. Was good to hear that zoos can now reopen. There are two around here jointly owned that were so worried they would never reopen again. 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 I‘m very late, as usual. So you guys are going to be in full masked mode? And you have to be trained for it as well, huh...I‘m impressed. Let me know if everything goes off without a hitch...good luck! ♥️ 4y
Velvetfur @Andrew65 Ah ok, I'm glad it was all bearable for you then! 🙂 4y

BookwormM Wet my garden is enjoying the rain and we saw 4 cygnets on our walk today so that was lovely. How is it going with school planning? 4y
CocoReads So relaxing even though I went to the grocery and got a walk in. Hubby grilled steaks for lunch and I‘ve gotten so reading in. Probably early to bed tonight—have to be out the door at 6 am tomorrow. 😴 4y
See All 29 Comments
Andrew65 @BookwormM Spent some time in school today looking at the next key points. Should be ready for 15th should we decide to open then, still far from certain due to the high number of local cases. 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads That‘s early 💤 Enjoy your reading. The steaks sound good.. 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Lazy day for both me & my guy. We both over did it on cleaning & organizing so we are trending to the aches & pains with couch time. Just finishing up a walk with the him & the pup and picked up Chinese food. Late lunch/very early dinner. Hope you're feeling better soon. 4y
kezzlou85 Been an okay day thanks. Hope yours has been too. 4y
Andrew65 @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Thanks, most probably my body‘s reaction to the stress. Sounds like you have a good day. 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Been a quiet day and short period in school to organise things. 4y
kezzlou85 @Andrew65 glad you were able to have a quiet day. 4y
Velvetfur I'm glad you weren't at school for too long and that it's been quiet for you 👍🏻 I love those Wales photos, the blue of the water in them is stunning 💙 I was observing Wales in real life today on my nice long walk along the local prom - on clear days, in the sunshine like today, the Welsh mountains can be seen beyond the river 😍 4y
Texreader Went to a couple bookstores with my daughter. Trying not to think about going back to the stress at work tomorrow. 4y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I‘ve been making cards, writing ✍️ #LitsyLove and NOT watching the news!! No abdominal pain today! How are you Andrew? 4y
Andrew65 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Pleased to hear your abdominal pain is better, My pains less today but still there but usually there at some level. News 🙅‍♂️ 4y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Andrew65 I‘m glad your pain is less today 💙 4y
Andrew65 @Texreader Forgotten what it feels like to visit a book store! Good luck for tomorrow. (edited) 4y
Texreader @Andrew65 It was definite different, waiting in line to go in before others went out; and keeping your space from everyone. But being with the books helped. Thanks about tomorrow. Sure hope your tests have come back ok and that you are doing well. 4y
TheSpineView Had a nice day. It was hot today 32.2° C or 90° F. Humid also. The dogs got their walk early and rode for only 40 minutes before I wilted. Had a late lunch and sat on the dock in the shade and read for a few hours. Now I am dreading the return to work tomorrow. Glad you felt better today. The stress can't be helping! 4y
Crazeedi Another day in my garden, tending my garden makes me happy, but is a lot of work, and now I'm having numb fingers,I'm sure from using my implement to till the weeds! Ha 4y
Crazeedi Have a good week Andrew 💛💛 4y
margreads It was a long weekend here for the Queens birthday. We spent the weekend doing a bathroom renovation so that was fun. 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 It‘s been pretty nice around here today...very peaceful. I hope you‘ve had a lovely weekend!♥️ 4y
Andrew65 @gradcat Pretty cool and overcast here! 4y
Andrew65 @margreads Sounds a productive weekend. 4y
Andrew65 @Crazeedi Thanks, your garden must be lovely. 4y
gradcat @andrew65 Sounds like you‘re getting our weather from last week, and we‘re getting yours...it‘s supposed to be 95F today (which is about 30 or 35C, right?)...which means the utter oppressive heat is ready to move in for the summer—yucky! 😓 😂 ♥️ 4y
Andrew65 @gradcat Wow that is hot. 🥵 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 I know. Ugh. I‘m never happy in the summer. ♥️ 4y

How has the first day of the weekend been for you?

#DailyCheckin

Texreader I‘ve had a heckuva week trying to bring my workplace back online after a major system failure. So I‘ve been resting and relaxing. A very safe pedicure, a visit to Target for a book, a movie, and some junk food. It‘s all good! 4y
Andrew65 @Texreader Sounds like just the weekend you need. 😊 4y

CocoReads Quiet day. I stayed up too late last night watching movies with my kid but today has been nice, got a few things done and just finished a book. 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads Saturday is the best day of the week. 4y
kezzlou85 Had a bad head but might be linked to the storm we had earlier. Otherwise a chilled day. 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 I‘ve just collapsed and hidden away today. 4y
TheSpineView A very enjoyable day. Went to barn early to ride before it got hot. Came home and spent the afternoon on the lake. Very relaxing and I feel energized. 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView I love your weekends 😍 4y
JenReadsAlot Beautiful pictures! 4y
Andrew65 @JenReadsAlot They are! 4y
tracey38 @Texreader sounds like a good day after the workweek you had! @CocoReads sounds nice, even the movie night you had last night. And I agree with @Andrew65 that Saturdays are the best day of the week! @kezzlou85 hope your bad head has eased off! @TheSpineView sounds like a wonderful day. 4y
kezzlou85 @tracey38 thank you, it has eased off now. 4y
tracey38 I had a peaceful day. Slept in, did the barest of chores, which really just entailed some vacuuming, and have been reading the rest of the day. I did some self care by giving myself a de-stressing deep sea minerals clay mask, a soothing eye mask, and put on a lavender overnight mask. Ahhh... now finishing my current read. 4y
tracey38 @kezzlou85 that's good to hear. I know how those are! 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 Enjoy your weekend, and some well-earned peace. 4y
tracey38 @Andrew65 thank you. I hope you enjoy yours as well. Yours is very well earned, too! 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 Thanks. I think the weekends are more important than ever at the moment for all of us. 4y
CocoReads @Tracey38 self care is so important. Was going for the bath and book before I remembered that my head hurts because I only managed a bit of dinner before I choked on it. Going to eat something easier to chew and then do the bath and book 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Being a bit productive today. I have tons of clothes and we got a storage unit a few months ago that doesn't have much in it. I've pulled some winter stuff out of the piles to bring over there. Once I make space to at least sort what's left, then I can go through it slowly and donate the stuff that doesn't fit & toss the worn out stuff. 4y
tracey38 @CocoReads oh goodness! Hope it all makes you feel much better! And we all need some self care! 💛 4y
Crazeedi @Andrew65 worked in garden and cut down out of control privet hedge today, I'm pooped! Have a wonderful weekend Andrew 🥰 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 Restful, for me...I‘m really beginning to settle down, I think. How about you? And more to the point, how‘s the old GI system going? I hope you‘re able to get some down time this weekend. ♥️ 4y
Andrew65 @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Sounds productive plans. (edited) 4y
Andrew65 @Crazeedi You are achieving a lot, thanks 😊 4y
Andrew65 @gradcat Not great at moment, acid issues, liver issues and Irritable bowel. 😂 When I do things I do it well! 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 Egads! 😱 I‘m so sorry you‘re in so much physical distress... I can only hope that you get some relief, at least in your stress levels, if nothing else. Take care of yourself, Andrew! ♥️ 4y
Andrew65 @gradcat Thanks, taking care of myself as much as I can at the moment. Sure things will improve, 🤞😊 (edited) 4y

eanderson Wales seems beautiful! 4y
Andrew65 @eanderson It is, especially that corner of Wales. (edited) 4y
TheSpineView Stunning scenery! Friday has been good. Over cast and trying to rain so I took advantage and had a nap. 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView Yes we had a lot of rain today. 4y
Velvetfur Ah lovely pictures, so much pretty blue 💙 I've been in the house reading again all day, rained for first half of day then I didn't have motivation in second half and had a nap instead, haha! I made a lovely potatoes & salad dinner but forgot to add the cheese, argh 😭 I hope you're well along with being busy 🙂 4y
Birdsong28 Had a good day as I had a day off so I just stayed in away from everyone! 😂📚📖 4y
CocoReads Work for 15 more minutes. Overall not a bad day. Hitting the store on my way home to get sides for the chicken we‘re grilling tonight and then a blissful 2 days off with good weather and hopefully a lot of reading. 4y
kezzlou85 Glad schooling is done for the week and hopefully finally getting my wedding ring replaced. After having mine cut off 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Damn near had a coughing fit at the grocery store Wednesday evening. It was a bit warm inside the store and the mask just made it worse so I found a slightly quieter area to cough inside my mask, which just makes the air inside stuffy and....just a viscous circle of uncomfortableness. I went into the office for a short time today. The town is finally reconfiguring the public parking lots behind my building. They should've started a month ago. 🙄 4y
IamIamIam I found an antique floorplan I love and that bluff is perfect for construction! I'm in, how much??? 🤣 Lots going on this week: a birthday parade, prepping for a bbq tomorrow with my BIL's family, the kids had virtual field day today. I'm still emotionally drained but luckily I got to Walmart, which had a line outside around the store, and were square for the weekend. 😁 Hope everyone has a great weekend! 4y
IamIamIam @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick That's the worst! My allergies have been acting up and I swear I start sneezing at the thought of putting on a mask! Lol, then everyone stares at you and it's so uncomfortable!!! 4y
tracey38 I especially love today's photos on our virtual tour. How beautiful! Today was a rough day. Work was so busy I barely took a bathroom break. My debit card was somehow compromised even though it's never been out of my possession and I have fraudulent charges on my account from the other side of the country from Uber, which I have never used. It's just so frustrating. So glad it's Friday. 4y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Beautiful photos!! I‘ve been feeling bad with stomach issues for 2 days so I haven‘t been doing much... I hope you are well 💙 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 & @Velvetfur I think you could pretty much take Vikki‘s post & put my name on it...sounds like we had very similar days, only instead of the salad & potato dinner (which is my favorite meal, esp. if the potatoes are French fries!), I ate a whole bag of sunflower seeds & chased it w/ Werther‘s coffee caramel hard candies...yummy day! 😋 😂 ♥️ 4y
Velvetfur @gradcat hehehe, that does sound yummy! 😁 4y
GHABI4ROSES @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks same. Here. Stomach nightmare. 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur Very busy, but still slow progress as so much to do, but did appoint a teacher for September. (edited) 4y
Andrew65 @Birdsong28 That sounds heavenly. 😊 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads Sounds like a good weekend is ahead. 😊 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Hope the wedding ring was successfully replaced. 😊 4y
Andrew65 @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick If cough or sneeze at the moment like you are a leper! 4y
Andrew65 @IamIamIam Yes, hay fever so bad at the moment. 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 My Bank card was compromised in the same way last year. All very stressful, hope you get it all sorted out. 4y
Andrew65 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks All the stress doesn‘t help the stomach. Hope you are feeling better 🥰 and you too @GHABI4ROSES 🥰 4y
Andrew65 @gradcat That all sounds yummy. 😊🥰 (edited) 4y
TheBookHippie Here. Staying off social media as much as possible. I have work to do and to see people I love speak in ways that make life dangerous for those I fight for in my my social justice work and just being me who I am what I stand for .. I can‘t do it. 99 percent of the time I can. This week, I cannot. 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Sending love and best wishes. Take all the tine you need. 🥰 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @TheBookHippie Sending you love & strength 💖 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 & @Velvetfur ...and I‘m hungry again... ♥️ 4y
GHABI4ROSES Thank you, @Andrew65 I just accepted that this stomach bug is not a bug, it is the stress, so that is TODAY‘S plan: to calm DOWN. 4y
Andrew65 @GHABI4ROSES Yes, although easier said than done. I need to do the same. Good luck to both of us. 😊 4y

How has Thursday been?

BookwormM Another busy work day much cooler which had helped the hay fever and made a welcome change and we have had rain so hopefully my grass will bounce back. 4y

kezzlou85 Ooh so pretty. I must visit Wales one day. Been a good day just home schooling and sorting bits out. 4y
TheBookHippie Ahhhhh beach!!! Let‘s stay here!!! I got a lot of tasks done off the todo list ! Yay. 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 That‘s great! 😊 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Sounds very productive, wish I could say the same. 4y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Beautiful pictures!!! 4y
TheBookHippie @Andrew65 one day out of 83 I gotta get a win 😅 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie 😂 I think I‘m still waiting for that Day. Tomorrow interviewing for a teacher on conference calls 😳 4y
TheBookHippie @Andrew65 😭 I‘m making summer menus for my teens in summer program tomorrow how to feed 30 cheaply 🤪🤣🤦🏽‍♀️😂🤷🏽‍♀️😳👩🏽‍🍳😷✊🏼 4y
TrishB Work is mad busy again, exam boards soon and millions of queries! BUT we had work book club on Northern Lights and Philip Pullman joined us and it was the best zoom call I‘ve been on in three months 😁😁 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB Wow! That must have been great, hope he liked the book. 😂 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Good luck with that. 👏🙌 4y
Andrew65 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks It is a beautiful area of the world! 4y
CocoReads Beautiful pics. It‘s my late day so I‘m here at work for another 2.5 hours. Then it‘s shower, eat, and bed so I can come back in the morning and do it all again. But a not bad day all the same so 🤞that things will stay calm here 4y
Velvetfur Posted some stuff, had another long walk,, reading....and went to the chippy for the first time since before lockdown! Got salt n' pepper chips, they were amazing! How have you been today Andrew? 😊 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur Chip shop chips 😍 Not had them now for 2 1/2 - 3 months! Miss them! Good day overall, achieved sone things, arranged virtual interviews for tomorrow and read a report that the local Director of Public Health has advised Schools not to open next week. We‘d already made that decision at our weekly review yesterday but this backs us up which is good. Will communicate in our weekly letter to parents tomorrow. still behind on tasks! (edited) 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads Have a good finish of shift, and an even better day tomorrow. 4y
TrishB Damn, which I‘d have asked him that 😂😂 4y
Velvetfur @Andrew65 Oh that's good news about the schools not opening! Sigh of relief 😂 How are you doing the virtual interviews - on Skype/WhatsApp /etc? Rather than phone? 4y
Birdsong28 Been ok today. Work is going ok most of the customers were understanding and kept their distance but I have had to warn some customers to stay at a distance and they give me filthy looks but my managers back us up when we have had bad customers. 📚📖 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur Using Microsoft Teams which we have been using throughout, God knows what percentage (high) of my life I‘ve spent on that since this started! 4y
Andrew65 @Birdsong28 Why would they do that 😡, what is wrong with sone people. 4y
Velvetfur @Andrew65 ah ok, I haven't heard of that one 🙂 I was wondering how interviews are carried out these days 👍🏻 4y
TheSpineView Today has been good. The warm weather has finally arrived along with the afternoon thunder storms. 4y
tracey38 Busy day at work. And hot and humid outside, though it's an igloo inside the office. I think the heat has already gone to people's heads as some just have been weird this week. I also had a phone visit with my doctor about my increased migraines. And, as I had wondered, it seems wearing these face masks all day every day at work is contributing. And that isn't going to go away any time soon. We changed up my meds so hopefully that will help. 4y
tracey38 @Andrew65 Good news on that back up on not opening schools next week! Good luck on the interviews. I think our management had phone and computer interviews all day today, too. As always, beautiful pictures on our tour! 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 Finally slept well, so a very good day for me, though I missed most of the daylight hours. I had a telemedicine call this morning, and I guess I was relaxed enough afterwards to be able to sleep for eight solid hours—yay! I don‘t know how everyone else is doing, but I‘ve really been having trouble sleeping. I hope you‘ve gotten some rest, Andrew—I know you need it. Any news from the MRI? ♥️ (edited) 4y
Andrew65 @gradcat Still waiting for the outcome of the MRI. The CT scans showed some lesions on the liver that think may be the results of cysts but doing the MRI as a precaution to have a better look at them, All showed a change in the stomach so wanting to repeat the CT in 4 months. 1 step forward two steps back. 😔 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 Interview was successful. Hope the migraines and medication improves. (edited) 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 Omigod! I‘m sorry to say this, but it sounds scary...is it? I don‘t know much about cysts & livers, so I apologize for my alarm. I‘m just hoping that an answer to the problem will be a good thing for you. I know all of this waiting has got to be stressful...so sorry, my friend...I‘m keeping you in my thoughts.... ♥️ 4y
