Just finished it and I enjoyed it but I don‘t think I‘d say it was a favorite. I enjoyed the drama and was waiting to see how Ryen to react to the truth about her penpal.
read: march 30-31, 2023
this book felt plot heavy but also lacking at the same time and i didn‘t know how to feel while reading. don‘t know if i just never had this kind of experience, but this book dramatized high school popularity. it felt like watching a movie, and it felt unrealistic. i always love the sort of anonymity that surrounds these kinds of love stories. our main characters are very lovable. i loved the smut and the epilogue!!
Anybody else have a reading list that is all over the place. Finished a very spicy one followed by a Christian book now on to a YA. Gotta mix it up to keep it interesting. #4 of 2023
This got me into dark romance! Definitely got a 5 star rating. Misha and Ryen stole my heart. My first bully trope and I feel in love with it.
Let me start by saying I read this book in 2 days. I found this book to be so captivating and interesting. I found myself getting angry, sad, and happy with the characters as the book went on. The characters are young; 18 & 21(?) so I felt a little risqué reading the spicy parts but got over it quickly lol. Definitely recommend.
"We were perfect together. Until we met."
My first read of 2022 and my reintroduction into the world of spicy books.
I was not disappointed! ?

My January Reads!
It was a great month. 🙌😃

📚📚📚 Not utterly disappointing but not overwhelmingly great. I enjoyed this book enough to want to read it in one sitting. Is it worth the hype, no. Is it worth the swooning and the mooning…if you‘re a teenage girl, sure. Is it worth reading, yes. I liked the “twist” in the story but as a reader of much heavier & darker romance, this was a 🌶🌶 since teen sex doesn‘t do it for me. I am looking forward to reading others by Douglas. *KU read*
This was my 1st read of 2022!
A book whose title begins with the last letter of your previous read.

I LOVE Penelope Douglas. My favorite book of hers is Birthday Girl.
I gave it 4 ⭐
First 7 chapters were a little slow but then it took off & kept me reading till the end. I loved the note by the author at the end, an unmeasurable message to every teen & adult who may need that reassurance.
If u like steamy and smutty content
This is a photo of me wishing I was in the story with Misha! Wheweee… so much spice 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 I am definitely a new fan of Penelope Douglas after reading this one. An easy 5 stars for me. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book #49: I unintentionally read another book with writing lyrics being a central factor. The book has some underlying creepy tones and the main relationship is spicy but kind of messed up as well - especially the way they bully each other and the way he knows who she is the whole time. All that being said, I devoured this book. Another tiktok rec that lived up to the hype.
Stayed up til 2 a.m. finishing up my #BookSpin, which means I must've liked it more than I thought! There were a lot of elements of the story I didn't personally care for, but there were also parts that I felt made up for those (does that make sense?) It was a nice, steamy read. @TheAromaofBooks
Also, does this title count as having "five letters or less"? Technically 57 is a number ???♀️
The message is brilliant and the story worth reading and so relevant to the struggles teens face today with bullying and losing your identity to fit in. It's message about staying true to yourself and not conforming is very important. The story is well written and executed and is sure to bring on big feels. I hope the author does print a “PG” version so young girls and boys can enjoy this story as well, though.

I really enjoyed the book but up until page 180 it was really stressful and hard to maintain interest. I really enjoyed the book don‘t get me wrong and I think everyone should read it if you enjoy the plot of bad shit crazy. But I just wish it wasn‘t so stressful
I‘m really liking this book. It‘s frustratingly good!!!
Childhood friends to enemies-to-lovers. Overhyped. I did not like the “conflict”. But, I like the character development. And there‘s this twist that I did not see coming. Did not even imagine.

I LOVE Penelope Douglas. This was a difficult book to read. Because of all the emotions. Choices we make and how we have to deal with the ramifications. Kindness goes so far and this story reminds you of that. Highly recommend this book for all ages. Seriously we can all learn from this one.
160-2020⭐️⭐️⭐️
We first met Misha & Ryen in The Devil's Night Series and this is their foundation story
Started this and I‘m loving it already. Also, these lip products are amazing!
This was an ok Nee Adult contemporary romance. I honestly started the book not looking for anything deep but was pleasantly surprised that it went depose than just two people falling in love and having a lot of sex lol.
I really like the message the author was conveying regarding bullying and social media. I do wish we would have gotten more interaction of Misha and his dad.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I freaking love this book, Punk 57 is something you can read after Corrupt because Michael, Will and Kai are in this book (very small part of the book), so if you enjoyed Corrupt and Hideaway, I would suggest you read this one too. I really liked Mason/Misha and him messing with Ryen and pushing her buttons. The sex scenes in this book are HOT. This book, Rival and Until You are the books I go back frequently to re-read
