Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Another month ending and I need to play catchup on my reviews. Where did the time go? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Quiet day in the office but I got news that one of my better accounts has changed routes and will no longer need their regular rooms here. So Monday I get the fun talk of issuing refunds for the prepaid bookings and my Senior RVP will be by next week. Now to continue with reviews and weekend cleaning. 3y

TheSpineView Frustrating day as the internet kept going down at work. Problem in the area and we just had to wait for it to get fixed. Oh well... tomorrow is another day.🤪 3y

Lynnsoprano Busy, weird day, things kept going wrong but then working out. Frustrating, but still got a fair amount accomplished, although there was one big mess to clean up. Still doing a lot of online shopping, a parcel came with a leaking bottle. Company good about giving a refund, but I had to clean the rug inside the door. Not a good sign when the postman wraps your package in plastic 😄 3y

Susanita I spent a good part of the day metaphorically herding cats, but there were some nice diversions tucked in here and there. 3y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Felt tired all day. Maybe it was the gloom, maybe I didn't sleep well. It was a fairly routine day. 3y

How was Wednesday? Sandbanks above is where we usually stay when we go to this area. Beautiful views from a hotel we stay at. Last hotel we stayed at less than a month before the first lockdown. Day of meetings and self-training on research reports, whilst continue to future plan. Sone great assessment results for our Year 6 (year group before move to secondary) despite last 14 months.

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Two trips to Staples for work and I mostly helped our IT department remotely fix our printing network. Nothing in sales got done but it was a fairly easy day. I just submitted my dog to a Busch Beer Chief Tasting Officer position in case you were wondering that kind of dog mom I am. 🤣 About to leave work with one quick grocery stop asking the way home. I hope tomorrow is a good day for you all! 3y

TheSpineView The weather was perfect today. Though I spent most of it inside at my desk. I did take a stroll at lunch just to soak up a little sunshine. Just cleaned up after dinner and now I am going to read for a bit. 3y

Lynnsoprano Nice day. Did some necessary jobs around the house, took a 2-mile walk, and went out for lunch at a new restaurant with a lovely outdoor terrace. Also some music recording this afternoon, so a full day. 3y

How was Tuesday? Quite different pictures today as take in the nature reserve that is Brand‘s Bay, lovely serene pictures. Today felt busy all day but not sure I achieved much 😔 Need to develop my tunnel vision self tomorrow.

Lynnsoprano Nice day overall. We took our books and went out for coffee this morning. First time in over a year. Sat outdoors and felt very safe, plus the weather was perfect. Lots of reading, a little gardening, a short walk, and hubby is cooking dinner. The day can‘t get much better 😄 3y

TheSpineView Busy day today. I'm still wondering how Monday got here so fast. I also purchased a new horse today! Emmy is 6 and Draft/TB cross. I'm so excited about that. Just have to get a vet check to make sure no issues. Other than that she should at my trailer's barn next week!💜🐎 3y

CocoReads Oh my goodness @TheBookHippie we seem to be holding steady and/or slightly going down. We even had book group in a restaurant tonight. We‘ve all been vaccinated and the restaurant we chose is still following protocols (tables spaced out, wear a mask unless you‘re at your table, etc) heck they don‘t even give you menus unless you ask—you just scan a week code to bring up the menu. 3y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @TrishB I walked into an IT fiasco, too. Luckily I tried a few quick fixes but everything else requires an admin login so I was able to step away & leave it for the actual tech people. Otherwise I had a few calls and the day moved quickly. 3y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Sounds like a good, productive day! I walked into work and had a guest coming at me because she didn't think my GM was being professional. Luckily I can play dumb very well. The look on her face when she asked if she could talk to my boss (I'm in sales) and I said "You can but it's Bill and you didn't like your conversation last time. Shall I go get him?" ??? Thankfully keeping a straight face was the most challenging part of my day. 3y

CocoReads 45 minutes left in this shift. It‘s not been bad but I‘m in a lousy mood because we‘re short handed and not everyone is pulling their own weight. And it does no good to complain but today the frustration boiled over so I‘ve been extra mouthy. And it‘s a short turn around so I‘m going to try to be better tomorrow 3y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick It has been a fine day so far. Nothing great, but nothing bad either. Had a little extra time at lunch to finish Salvage the Bones. The sunshine made an appearance this afternoon. It's just before 7pm so I'll be heading home to relax. 3y

TheSpineView Work was OK. I did get to read some at lunch which makes for a nice change. Just finished the dinner dishes and relaxing a bit before taking the dogs out for a walk. Then I can start reading. 3y

BookwormM Up late today (well for me anyway 🤣🤣) mixed week really. Shielding finished so work said I have to be in office full time. Consultant said he doesn‘t want to risk operating on my eyes so now on long term steroid drops and my aunt had a stroke Monday and had not regained consciousness yet she is only 58. 3y

IamIamIam Lurking again... happy this week is over. Jury duty on Tuesday which I was excused from, vertigo episode on Wednesday night that knocked me out and went to urgent care today to find out I've got an ear infection. 😖 Scheduled for my 1st shot on Wednesday so hopefully all will go well. TheSpineView @Andrew65 I always seem to have lots of things going on at once. Various projects and to do lists a mile long. Books that need reading horses that need ridden. Actually started looking for another horse. My current mount is more suited to Dressage and Hunter under saddle. I am looking for an eventing horse that likes the long gallops required. Now I'll be even busier. I actually like it that way. I am not an idle person. 3y

How was Friday? Weather a bit better today or so it seemed, so had a drive into the Peak District and was then snowed upon, however was brief. Nice to get out again.

CocoReads Chilly today but sunny for the moment. We have about a 100% chance of rain this weekend though. Although I‘m working tomorrow so no big deal. Did hit up the grocery store with my hub today as he starts nights Monday and he‘ll be working 6-12s until the end of May so I wanted him to go and pick stuff he‘ll eat while he‘s at work. 3y

JacqMac I had to get my drivers license renewed today. With mask face. Worst picture ever. So that was fun. Our cases are exploding again. Just waiting for today‘s announcement about new restrictions. Hubby is now able to get vaccinated, but booking an appointment is close to impossible. Things are messy here. I did spend a lot of the day reading though. So it wasn‘t all bad. 3y

TheSpineView Very rare to see someone without a mask. Though I do see that restaurants are full almost. I still don't feel comfortable dining in. I order to go at least once a week to break things up. Busy day at the office. Just chilling for a minute before starting dinner. Then on to reading! 3y

kspenmoll I am so so happy you got to the sea. That is what I miss the most- salt air, sound of ocean waves, the smell of seaweed, the sound of gulls, sand on my toes.... for me work was crazy busy but that is nothing new. In the 50s ,so a wonderful walk. Long weekend ahead so all is good. 3y

Lynnsoprano Once Spring Break is over we plan to go walking on the beach here. We had lunch out today at one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants, sitting outdoors, and it was such a treat. 3y

IamIamIam There's nothing like a salty breeze to make things right! My job is near the bay and I get to sit by the water for lunch. Glad you got to get out there! Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Yesterday's trip to Pennsylvania & back to New Jersey Jersey is all tired. I read a bit, dozed off, took the dog for a walk in the rain, picked up some Portuguese BBQ, watched some of Schitt's Creek and then a little more reading. We'll probably end our day with some more TV. I needed the lazy day and the rainy weather was the perfect excuse for it. 3y

EmilyM Am mentally trying to psych myself up for teaching full time in person starting this week...although students can choose to remain online, which means I still have to be tethered to my computer for those who have opted to remain at home. I hate to wish my life away, but I am really looking forward to this school year ending! 3y

Lynnsoprano Didn‘t expect to spend part of the day at urgent care, but woke up with a urinary tract infection. Started antibiotics and drinking as much as I can. Less discomfort already, hopefully I‘ll get a good night‘s sleep and feel better in the morning. 3y

TheSpineView Busy day. Had a few errands to do that I couldn't put off anymore. I have managed a little reading. However nor as much as I hoped for. I was so exhausted I took a two hour nap. Feeling more rested now and ready for a new week. 3y

How was Wednesday? Got through my appraisal, one of the most bizarre ones ever. Long meeting with a parent re child with SEN and how we meet her child‘s needs. Was happy with provision n place. Numbers at school inching up, we may not make it to spring break.... time to start planning summer school reading and catch up on reviewing ARCs should keep me behaving for a bit 🤣😳.
