This book.... I can‘t even really sum it up. But if you‘re looking for a read where you are starting off on an exhilarating journey and end on a wtf just happened kind of book... this is the book for you! We did this as a book club book and had excellent and thoughtful conversations and again many wtf is happening comments😂 definite read for me😆

I foubd my tricksy friend! For the first day of #startreksummermay I offer the book that decided to teach me about unreliable narrators and it was preeeeety thorough!
(I do wish the ep A Matter of Perspective was better, because I love an unreliable narrative.)

I feel like I scored BIG at the used book store today with this hardcover first edition of The Egyptologist. This book ranks super high on my list of all time faves simply because of how messed up it is ❤️😂❤️😂❤️😂❤️

Overwritten and s-l-o-w to get to the point. Considering Egyptology is one of my life long, consuming passions, I found it ironic that my patience was tested with this.

Very, very interesting. The book is told from several different (often conflicting) points of view. A thoroughly engaging story and unique method of storytelling.

"No matter, I shall edit when I return home. And I shall. But, of course, should I be beaten to death and shoved inside a gangly Earl's travelling trunk and then hacked to pieces and my shreds lazily flipped overboard to peckish sharks, well, then, a pity indeed that I did not edit my work when I had the chance."

I am excited for this book. Only a couple pages in and I'm already intrigued (and amused).
