Another great edition to the Charlie Parker series. Charlie finds himself yet again in a difficult situation where the darkest aspects of humanity come to the surface as he tries to solve a murder case.

Fair warning, if spiders or bugs creep you out, you might want to avoid this book.

Oh my giddy aunt villain Mr Pudd duly deserves a photo by the pumpkin of doom as one of the creepiest baddies ive met. And apparently book 4 is connected. It's a while since i read book 2 in the Charlie parker series but provided i can stop my legs shaking from tension ill be back for more very soon!

Another 5 ⭐️read from John Connolly. I‘ve never had a big fear of spiders.. but just for now I‘ll be keeping my distance from them. I love MC Charlie Parker‘s humanity... he feels so real to me. Looking forward to book 4 in this series.....

Currently reading , finally , settled in a book. I‘ve started a few books over the last couple of days .... but they weren‘t for me. So , when in doubt , at least I know where to go now ... John Connelly ! Has never let me down, book 3. ♥️♥️♥️

I‘m obsessed with this series. Plain & simple.

Top book is a total #blameitonlitsy purchase, & @DeborahSmall in particular! I still haven't read book 2, but when book 3 is in a clearance sale for £2.99 you have to buy it, don't you?!

Hawksmoor has been on my #tbr radar FOR-E-VER, so I'm pleased I've finally got that. The historical bits shouldn't be too hard for me as my degree is in this period-ish.

If you don‘t like spiders you will cringe a lot with this one.

This months stats. I like this stats idea, I'm super competitive with myself and it's nice to have a little glance back at the month past!

Utterly spectacular. The emotions that his writing evokes are amazing. I've spent the last two hours glued to my book, and so tense that my muscles are aching and I've had to consciously relax my jaw it's so clenched! I am hugely surprised to find myself in my bedroom in Dublin and not in Maine.

I just love Angel and Louis- the thief and hired killer. The couple that dreams are made of😍

What a way to start a book. I apologise now for the deluge of quotes coming from this book, did I mention I major ❤️ his writing?

Book #3 in the Charlie Parker series. Without a doubt, the best detective series I've ever read (so far, I know I'm only on No.3😊). John Connolly's writing is just superb.
