Book 3 in the Simon vs Homo-Sapien Agenda universe (thought it was 2 that‘s my bad). Leah is super exasperating as a character, home girl faces one inconvenience and she blows up and people point it out to her and she just never does anything about it? she also doesn‘t handle her friend/love interest coming out to her very well, and considering I‘m not even sure who book 2 is about, I‘d maybe stop after the first one.

As exasperating as Leah can be, how well do I recall those feelings of not quite knowing what to say or wanting to blow something up if you can't get it just right. But Leah has a great group of friends she can count on & a loving mom who's got her back. It's reassuring for her & the reader as she learns to let them support her, and her journey was sweet & understandable. It wrapped up a bit neatly, but very light & pleasant.

I know that this got very mixed reviews. And I totally get why people wouldnt really like Leah. But I found her to be realistic for a teen trying to figure stuff out. And I definitely shipped her romantic interest!! I found the story to be messy and very true to high school. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and loved rooting for Leah, even though I sometimes wanted to smack her 🤣

Ooh wow. This book had me speechless! I have never EVER related to a fictional character this much. Leah is strong and independent and precious. And my chubby now wanted nothing more than to give this book to my chubby younger me in order to tell her "see? You can do things too! You don't have to hide". And earnestly, what an emotional roller coast. You also just have to love Becky's voice in normalising LGBTQ+ people and other minorities, so...

I‘ve been needing a good book. Many of my last ones have been duds. Becky Albertalli is an amazing author. I love how she manages to make every last page action packed and still wraps everything up without making it feel rushed. All the Harry Potter references were great too. 5⭐️

I enjoy Albertalli's writing. It definitely shows how different Simon's and Leah's narrative it. I admit that I missed the emails from book 1, but I knew that wasn't going to be the same. Albertalli's writing is easy to read and quite fast to read. It is easy to see how Simon and Leah are both unreliable narrators and I love when we have unreliable narrators.

Leah kind of reminded me of myself as a teen.

1. I don‘t mind badminton and archery but I‘ve never been big on playing or watching sports. Horses are one of my favorite animals so I will watch equestrian sports if I catch them on TV.

2. Litsy and books.

The sequel to Simon vs the homosapian agenda. Leah navigates through her senior year trying to stay on the beat and in the back of the auditorium until she starts crushing on one of her girl friends.

This was an adorably cheesy read, but I loved it.

A sort-of sequel to Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda but featuring his best friend Leah. Leah is bisexual but has not told anyone, and now she is getting ready to go to college with her crush, Abby, and dealing with her group of friends splitting up at the end of senior year.

Cute and fun, albeit predictable. I love Leah's confidence about who she is, and Simon is Simon, as always.

After binge watching Love, Victor on Hulu I wanted to go back into that universe and picked this book up.

Now this is a great story with a lead character that is Bi. I haven‘t read a book with a main character like this and need to read more. It was very refreshing to see a new side of a story and see the struggles Leah went through. Other than that Leah was a little too judgmental but she is a teen, comes with the age.

Second in the series headed by Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda (which I really liked). Leah was a broken record, constantly whining about what an asshole she is to her friends. Didn't make for a fun or interesting reading experience.

SkeletonKey I just couldn‘t get in to this one either. Disappointing because I liked the character! 4y

Another cute book from BA, unfortunately I didn‘t really like Leah as a character and I didn‘t totally agree with the bisexual representation as someone who is BI themselves..4/5

Decently written. Highly predictable. Cute-ish story, really it was Simon only with females. I didn‘t like the happy little ribbon ending.
I liked Leah in Simon, I didn‘t like her as much in her own story. She was mean unnecessarily. I get stressed, angsty, confused teenager but some of the responses were above and beyond all of that.

Started this one last night. It‘s going to be a nice mind numbing ish read after all the heavy thinking and remembering books I‘ve been reading (GoT is rough remember who is who and where and what and why). Only a few characters, a little awkward teen romance, some stressful life stuff, and I‘m going to assume a happy bow on it in the end.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Enjoy, it‘s a great ride. 4y

Ugh. This was a chore. I guess I had a hard time with the drama because I‘m not a teenager anymore? I don‘t know. And it was made worse by the mediocre narrator.

I wanted to like this book, truly I did... but Leah annoyed the crap out of me. Maybe it is because I'm not 16 anymore but I just found her rude and just too much. There were some good moments in the book and some sweet friendships but not enough for me to recommend the book. It made me sad because I liked Simon's story and had high Hope's for this book too.

I read this Aug 3-4 and gave it 4 ⭐️ on Good Reads. I really like the character of Leah. And I liked the chance to revisit these characters again. The book does have something‘s that I either felt were problematic or I didn‘t like but I found Leah to be relatable and the book was fun to read. In fact I think I liked this one a little more than the first book.

Leah and I took the train today and I managed to finish this. I have mixed feelings about it because some parts were very relatable but at points the scene changes felt a little weird giving the story a little disjointed feeling which I didn‘t love. Overall an enjoyable read but I think it had the potential to be better.

3.5 ⭐
I liked this but nowhere near as much as Simon vs the Homosapien Agenda. I felt like Albertalli was going for the same vibe but it fell short. Leah just isn't a likeable character in the same way Simon is. Plus, I didn't feel that this Leah was consistent with the Leah in the first book.

In spite of how long it took me to read this, I actually liked it a lot! Not as much as the first book in the series, but it had the same awkward sweet feel to it. If there‘s a third book, I‘ll definitely read that one as well. This was cute and fun! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Maybe I'm being unfair, but compared to Ms. Albertalli's other books, I didn't find it quite so good. I'm reading again, and enjoying more this time, but overall Leah is less tough and more just... rude, especially about her moms new relationship. I didn't hate it, and I enjoyed the simple high school setting as well as the realistic build up to the main couple, who I won't talk about too much here, in case some a y'all decide to read it. 3/5

I didn't set out with a #PrideMonth theme in mind, yet that's where books have taken me. It's been yrs since I read Simon vs... but I've watched the movie Love, Simon about 5 times in the past 2 weeks, so I couldn't help picturing/hearing the movie cast in my head while reading this book. I love this world & Albertalli's style though I don't know how "true to character" the relationship developments are. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #ya #teachersoflitsy #summerreading
