Great summer read. It follows the Cousins women as they spend a month on rural Tuckernut island- each needing the escape for different reasons. I loved getting to know each character- and loving them despite their flaws.

My first grab from the “TBR” shelf turned out to be one I‘ve already read and purchased twice 🤦🏻♀️😂 So here‘s to next one on shelf… 🥳happy Friday
I just really hated this book. All of her characters in every book are tan, blonde, and 116 pounds. I get it. Okay, fine. That's not explicitly true. Idk. Maybe I'm insane. But if I have to read that Chess and Tate peed in front of each other - one more time, I'm gonna lose it.

The Island takes us on a summer vacation in secluded Tuckernuck Island off the coast of Nantucket with newly divorced Birdie Cousins, her two daughters and her sister, and their various romantic entanglements. It‘s another one I got sucked into and had a hard time putting it down. 4⭐️

Book #30 for 2022. Like all of Elin's books this was another good one! Love her
I enjoyed reading about the Cousins‘ family. Oh sure, $150k is a sunken, barely-considered expenditure for cancelled wedding plans. Islanders ;) But there was something fairytale-ish in a family halting life to gather on a remote Tuckernut island for a summer with the primary purpose of being each other‘s emotional support.
The Island was a nice summer read by Elin Hilderbrand. I started out reading it slowly and then got really invested in the characters about halfway through and didn‘t want to put it down. I thought it was charming and entertaining. 4⭐️
Started reading this book. I really enjoy the writer. Just on chapter 3.

You don't need no memory
Just a place to call your own
As we drift into the zone🎶

This wasn‘t my favorite book by Elin Hilderbrand. It was a bit slow and cliche for me. I was hoping for it to move better and be more captivating. It‘s not a bad summer read, but it wasn‘t really great for me.
Tuckernuck Island, off Nantucket, is one remote place. I think I need hot water and reliable plumbing. What was reliable was this Elin Hilderbrand story, which was beach reading at its best (even in snowy January). #LitsyAtoZ #LetterI #ReadingUSA2019 #Massachusetts
Nothing says #FickleHeart like an abruptly broken engagement. And the best way to come to terms with is to hole-up with your womenfolk💜💜 My favorite Elin Hilderbrand of all!

A solid 4 stars. Typical of all her books, it was a great little escape read. A beach book supreme!
I‘m going to try and finish this during my week. I read what I‘m in the mood for. And I‘m in the mood for a beach vacay.

Reading on the way to take the kids to the local carnival and I love this book but I have to say so far I'm 100 pgs in and Birdie pisses me off. I think she puts one of her kids first and not just because of the drama going on. You don't screw one kids felling over for another.
#ocean #sizzlinsummerbooks @Tiffy_Reads Slim pickings for my ocean books today, ocean makes me think beach reads (and of course Elin Hilderbrand) and vacation, those books often make it to the beach but never make it back home. ☺️🌴
This picture just calms me.
For #setbythesea day I had to go with one of my favorite "summer" authors - Elin Hilderbrand. I own most of her books and I think I love them so much since most of the time I'm stuck in landlocked Iowa/Nebraska. #somethingforsept #septemberphotochallenge @RealLifeReading
