I‘ve made it through the first week back! I‘m sleep-deprived, my feet hurt, and I‘m having trouble adjusting to eating lunch at TEN IN THE MORNING 🤬, but otherwise, it was clear sailing! 😁 Here‘s to a great year, #teachersoflitsy!

Lynnsoprano I don‘t miss the sore feet! #Retiredteacheroflitsy 2mo
laur89 I understand the struggle!! Lunch for me is now at 1 PM - I spend my pre lunch period talking over the growl of my stomach 😅 2mo
CindyMyLifeIsLit @laur89 I envy you! I‘m not a breakfast eater and the usual things I bring for lunch are NOT appealing to me at 10 am, so it‘s been difficult. I just didn‘t eat anything the first couple of days, but that resulted in making me feel sick. There‘s an answer out there—just have to find it! Maybe you could surreptitiously grab a few animal crackers or something between classes—that might quiet the stomach beast! 😜 2mo
laur89 @CindyMyLifeIsLit I don‘t do breakfast either - I exist purely on coffee until lunch! I should start bringing a snack to hold me over. Maybe you could just bring a granola bar or some fruit, and save your lunch until a later break time! 2mo
CindyMyLifeIsLit I‘ll probably try the granola bar thing, but they gave me all my breaks in one big lump in the morning. I‘m back-to-back classes until almost 3. 😒 2mo

Took a reading break to work on one of our favorite things, organizing back to school supplies! 😍😍

Bookzombie I still love school supplies. I get a little excited when they start setting up the back to school displays in stores. 😊 I'm not in school and don't have any kids, lol. 3mo

Mandigolightly I‘ve never read Hatchet. It looks so dull! 1y
AsYouWish @Mandigolightly I had to read it for one of my college classes and it made me physically ill, so my professor gave me permission to stop reading it. 1y
Mandigolightly @AsYouWish aww nice prof! 1y

• art and math, always

• I liked them all

• I didn‘t do organized extracurriculars, but I spent most of my free time obsessively listening to alternative music or cruising around with my friends.

• Pirates

SamanthaMarie I spent a lot of time driving around our town and the outskirts of it with my friends, too. I think that must be such a high school thing to do 😂 1y
britt_brooke @SamanthaMarie Yes! 😆 I‘m from a pretty small town and there wasn‘t much else to do. 1y
SamanthaMarie @britt_brooke Yes! Same here. We did a lot of driving and just hanging out in each other's backyards on summer nights. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Hahaha! Thank goodness for books 😊 1y

📚 English (but somehow I majored in Business / Marketing in college)
💱 Statistics (worst college grade)
☕️🥤Socializing at the student union
🐾 Panthers

wanderinglynn Stats was my worst grade too! I was a liberal arts person and yet they still tortured us with the math. 😕 Thanks for playing! 😀 1y
DGRachel Oh, I loved my statistics class in college. I almost changed my major from English, but that would have required Science for Majors classes and I knew there was no way I was going to be able to handle that. Math classes were not a problem, but I struggled with every science course I had to take in college and those were non-major level classes. 😔 1y
britt_brooke I also majored in business and sucked at statistics. 👯‍♀️ 1y

BarbaraTheBibliophage @wanderinglynn @britt_brooke 🙌🏻 to no more stats. I did use them in a job many years ago. Agony. 1y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @DGRachel I was lost in any math beyond accounting. Algebra never sunk in for me. 1y
DGRachel @BarbaraTheBibliophage That‘s interesting. I failed my one and only accounting class in college and I now work as an accountant for an international construction management firm. Go figure. (Not attending class was probably my error there...LOL) I always liked Algebra, but I struggled with anything dimensional like geometry and analytic geometry. I can‘t envision 3D in my head. 1y

#HelloThursday | Back to School Edition

1. Art, Music, & English
2. All the maths
3. Yearbook
4. Patriot

AmyG Yes.... ALL the maths and anything in science that required math. 1y
wanderinglynn @AmyG 🙌🏻 Exactly! 1y
minkyb Totally ALL the maths but especially Geometry 😳 1y
wanderinglynn @minkyb Yes! I had geometry 6th period (last class of the day), and the room faced west, so it was hot, and the teacher was old and had a monotone voice. On top of all that, it was geometry. Horrible class! 1y
minkyb My teacher used to throw broken pieces of chalk at us. The memory is fresh in my mind. I took geometry in high school in 1971‼️ 1y

Although I love this time of year for a few reasons, back to school madness is not one of them. Back to school for me means more work and less time to read and be an active Litten. Having the class from hell doesn't help matters either. #notbookrelated #hadtovent #teachersoflitsy

cobwebmoth Hugs! I hope it gets better. 2y
Nat_Reads Hoping your year improves--one tired teacher to another. 2y
Tamra Oh, but thank you for that laugh out loud! You haven't lost your sense of humor ......... yet. 😂 2y

CoverToCoverGirl Volunteered for many years at the kindergarten level I can appreciate the difference between a great class and a class from hell... teaching is a job greatly unappreciated or valued by many parents, my hat goes off to all of you! 🤗 2y
Leelee.reads Sounds like you got a class that needs lots of love. Hang in there! 2y
