Planned reading for January
Planned reading for December
I had lofty goals of scaling Mt Ararat in 2018, but didn‘t make it. Somehow, though 39 books made it off the mountain, another 200 were accumulated 😬
I‘ve joined the #MtTBR group on Goodreads again for 2019, but I‘m starting at Pike‘s Peak. Baby steps!
I read some fab books this month!
The Fair Fight, Exit West, Names for the Sea and Dietland were all Very Strong Picks!
In challenges, I finished this quarter's #Booked2018 prompts:
Olympic Sport - Fair Fight
Unconventional Romance - Exit West
Body Positive - Dietland
#readaroundtheworld 's trip to Turkey I read Divorce Turkish Style.
And in other news I joined ReadersFirst and won some ARCs, which I now need to hurry up & read... #ro18
My reading for March
Listening to a spooky collection from Audible and baking the night away! It's called House of Secrets by Alexandria Clarke and Roger Hayden. Unfortunately litsy doesn't have it in the archives. It's pretty good so far!
Peanut butter cookies: ✔️
Pumpkin cookies: en route.
Today's #RomBkLove is all about the meet cute. I like Lauren's Wild Seasons series start where 3 friends meet 3 men on vacation in Las Vegas and engage in a wild night of marriage.
So I had a back/neck/shoulder (trapezius muscle + something else) injury for the past 3 weeks, which has sucked a lot and made me not want to read books with my eyeballs. Hooray for audiobooks (and largely romance audiobooks)! You'll find me in this position for 40-60 minutes a day (10 min intervals) as part of my physical therapy regimen - perfect listening time! Gertie is SOOOO helpful. Usually she's dangling her rope bone in my face. 😂
Book tagged is first in the series. This short, audio-only addition to the series was a quick half hour and a nice little extra to Ansel's character. Narrator did a great job with accents - was really nice to hear French-accented English again, and it made me miss my French friend. (Not in a gross way, he's married to a good friend of mine, was just nice to hear someone speaking like him.) #1.5 in the series, and my 2nd #litsypartyofone!
Day 17 of #Riotgrams: Freebie. Christina Lauren is one of the few authors I would follow into the abyss. So happy to have found their books. 💕
I would give this book four stars. A steamy romance book, which is also a cute easy read. I love Mia and Ansel as a couple they are perfect for one another. The only thing is Ansel should have been honest with Mia from the start. I need a hot dreamy guy to take me to Paris :)
