I took this Georgette Heyer off the shelf today (but then had to check Goodreads to see if I‘d already read it 😆).

I finished my second book of the month yesterday. I was actually supposed to read it in October for #LMPBC but I just didn't quite get there!! I know I have read this one back in the mists of time, but couldn't remember anything!! Heyer actually did keep me guessing as to which fellow was the villain. Another delightful romp by one of my favorite authors.

Very fun, with a plot that kept me guessing, and a satisfying ending. I loved Miss Taverner‘s feistiness, even though it frequently gets her into trouble! Another enjoyable read for #LMPBC, Round 15, #GroupL . Great pick, @mabell !
It‘s going out to you in tomorrow‘s mail, @TheAromaofBooks . 📫

I'm excited to jump into my next read for #LMPBC #GroupL! @Chrissyreadit the book sleeve you added is so pretty, and very thoughtful of you. I agree that it will help protect the cover.

Where are Heyer movie adaptions? A naive but smart headstrong female, a young, impulsive male sibling and all the people trying to make decisions for them, a mystery to who the villain is??? Also this May be my favorite Heyer but I‘m sure I‘ve said that every time I finish one. I LOVED it!

Newly orphaned Miss Tavener and her brother, Sir Peregrine, are now under the care of their guardian, an acquaintance of their father‘s who must be quite old and disagreeable…
So much fun! Not a book to start when you can‘t sit and read it through. One situation pops up after another, and you just have to know what happens next!
It took a little longer to finish than it otherwise would because I had “help.” (Just a few more pages, Ted!!)

Seriously tempted to throw over all plans for the day to finish this! Really, I think that may be the more responsible thing to do. I thought about the story all day yesterday, so finishing it would help my productivity. Right? 😆 #LMPBC #GroupL

Just finished listening to this interesting historical romance classic by Georgette Heyer. An heiress and her brother enter London society and become all the rage despite the concerns of their guardian. It made for a pleasant bedtime audiobook.

My third book finished during #readathon! It's very weird to have enjoyed everything in a book - the setting, the characters, etc, with the exception of the romance. But the love interest is terrible - creepy and paternalistic - and so I hated the romance. I think I'll have to read another Heyer quickly so I don't get stuck on how problematic this one is. But Beau Brummell was FABULOUS. #regency #romance #historical

Kicking off #readathon by continuing this. I adore the period details but I hate the love interest. He's such a knob. #regency #historical #romance

From my own TBR shelves:
#Regency Buck
"An insufferably arrogant dandy"
I need to move this one up the list! ?

(And I just saw @LeahBergen beat me to the punch on this one ?)

Ladies, do ascertain if your #Regency Buck can wield a fan before getting involved with him.

I think the Regency novels of Georgette Heyer are very much an #homage to Jane Austen (and I could have chosen them for the #palatecleanser prompt, as well). #FeistyFeb

My #riotgrams #shelfie has me in it (sorry) because I'm away from home, so I picked my bookish profile picture because it gives a good idea of the range of books I read: you can see Georgette Heyer, Jasper Fforde, some biography and history, the bottoms of Maya Angelou, some my Virago collection, Elizabeth Jane Howard, and the tops of my Peter Wimseys!
