The beautifully vivid descriptions are the best part about this middle grade book that parallels Harry Potter in many ways. Hopefully the rest of the series sees improved dialogue and pacing.

Vacation stack!! A gifted copy of The Crowns of Croswald up next, plus some other #arcs and library books. Unsung and My Sister‘s Grace are for my hubby to read. I‘ll never read this many books, but it‘s good to have lofty goals!!

A cast of great charecters in a magical fantasy world. The main character Ivy Lovely works in a kitchen where scaldron dragons act as stoves for cooking. A series of events cause her to leave the life she‘s known behind. Ivy leaves with a scaldron dragon by her side off on quite an adventure where she is discovering who she is in a school for magic.

I recommend this book for young readers who love fantasy or want to get more into reading. This book has enough action, mystery, and magic to keep them entertained. Plus it‘s the first book in a series!

The Crowns of Croswald by DE Night was a fun read! It reminded of a blend of Once Upon a Time, Harry Potter, and some Disney magic sprinkled on top. I‘d love to see this made into a Disney movie or series. I think kids would love this world. I‘m looking forward to future Croswald books. Check out www.goodreads.com/coleyreads for my review.

This fantasy novel is the story of a young teenager who gets sent to a school of magic and fights the villain with the help of their friends. Sound familiar? Yep, I couldn't read this without being reminded of Harry Potter the whole time. There just wasn't a ton of originality, and I felt like I had trouble figuring out the mythology. I think it'd be enjoyable for middle grade or YA readers, but they're better off just sticking with HP. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really enjoyed this book. It‘s a great world of magic and royalty and mystery. I really can‘t wait to see where the next book goes. I also love that this book is suitable for middle grade, YA, and adults. A great twist on a great magical concept.

I immediately loved the richness of the world building, with all its magical details. It took me a while to get hooked on the story though, because a lot is left unexplained for a long time. But it all has a purpose! All my questions were answered at the end. I did have one issue with the book: Ivy didn't feel like a distinctive main character to me, mostly because her emotions weren't clear to me. The side characters were all really good though!

I did like this story, but it was too familiar. Meaning it was too similar to Harry Potter. I love HP and I felt like this book was trying to be like it. Don't get me wrong it was definitely a fun and magical read with its own characters and world building. I would recommend The Crowns of Croswald to middle grade/preteens who want more adventure like that of Harry Potter.

I am done with crowns of croswald,I absolutely loved the plot of this story. You never knew what was going to happen next. Ivy was a young girl with magical powers she never knew about. She was basically treated like the step sister in Cinderella until she was sent/found a school. This is where she finds the magic. I don't want to give away the whole story. It is a magical wonderful story

I'm really glad I agreed to receive a copy of this book to review!
I absolutely loved the world created in this book. The magic and the way magic is used is totally unique. I loved the idea of a school of magic (it really did have some HP vibes) and I loved the characters! Ivy kinda reminded me of a mix between Hermione and Luna which made her totally awesome in my opinion.
It was an action packed and fun filled read!

The_Heeler_Booklife I got an arc for this book as well. It looks so good. I have a ton of books to read currently and haven't been able to pick up this one yet. 3y
