I love a series that can be read as standalones. This one is one of my favorites.

The book we all love to hate. Or hate to love. My gateway read into YA. The epitome of teenage angst and emotional crushes.

Wonderful fantasy about the bond of sisters. Great clean romantic tension the story starts slow but picks up after the first third of the book.

Steampunk zombie YA with some romance and a capable heroine. First in a series. Dennard is a fantastic author and this earlier work shows she was great even with her first novel. Even though I don‘t love zombie books I still enjoyed it.

Fantastic conclusion to a wonderful series. Heavier on the romance and physical relationship than previous books, but I loved that aspect. Audrey Rose and Thomas Cresswell are one of my favorite literary couples.

This dark Holly Black Fairie tale was my first book by her years ago and I fell in love with her gritty, dark view of Faerie and our world. Like her other books it‘s a very mature YA. Lots of disturbing themes and images.

Better than the normal romance book. Well written and including a strong female character and a healthy dose of the history of British women‘s rights. I loved it!

Sweet green card themed romance that excels at the fake relationship trope. Could have been a little funnier for my taste, but I loved the Irish accent.

Lots of angry fighting. But the romantic tension is what Thorne does best and its full of it. Still not even in the same league as The Hating Game.

Focuses too much on the Hollywood agents industry and awful office treatment. Lovers to enemies to lovers. Eh.

The beautifully vivid descriptions are the best part about this middle grade book that parallels Harry Potter in many ways. Hopefully the rest of the series sees improved dialogue and pacing.

I didn‘t enjoy it as much as the first one. Probably because it‘s hard to improve upon Jane Eyre. It felt slow and I prefer the gothic romance of Jane Eyre.
