The plot was full of intrigue, romance and dark magic with a unique twist. I really liked the world building too, it has a mysterious Royal Court vibe'. I liked the MC Sable, she was morally grey. I really enjoyed the romance, Tauren was a good fit, their interactions were so swoon worthy. The friendship between Sable and Mira was also written well. The ending did feel rushed, however there were a lot of cliffhangers left for book 2.

Not my usual genre, but I'm starting to get into more dark romance. Enjoyable but not overly special. Liked the theme of Halloween and Ghost (Ghostface from Scream) is pretty hot in the book 🔥

The story focuses on Evelyn's development and finding who she truly is, and stumbling through different relationships. It was truly emotional seeing how the LGBTQ+ aspects have changed, and how they come into play through the relationship between Evelyn and Ceila. The book is spilt into parts, the plot appears simple yet the troubles and lifestyle Evelyn lives brings much more depth. The ending was so emotional I was sobbing but happy.

This is my second time reading and I love this book. Honestly this book and Bryce has inspired me in so many ways, to feeling better about my weight and curves, to building confidence and finally making some decent friends at university. The book has taught me to cherish every day and love harder than before. To be brave and never let anyone make me feel insufficient. To be badass and look good doing it. And that through love, all is possible❤🌙

StaceGhost I loved this book! It‘s her best imho 2w
Littlewolf1 I love this book so much, and want that jacket. Looking forward to February to get book 2. 2w

Looking for a gritty Western YA novel with a badass female lead, action packed scenes and a dash of romance?I loved how the writing flowed to create this story of revenge, hope and romance. I loved the MC Kate, the romance was slow burn and done so well, and I liked the relationship built with the Apache 'Lil'. Overall, I'm very impressed and happy everything wrapped up perfectly, epically with them plot twists thrown in, the ending was so good!

The Reaper by Runyx

I loved seeing everything unravel. Whilst the drama is going on, the main story focuses on Morana and Tristian's developments, their relationship is goals!
The pacing like the first is fast, I basically binge read these first two books in the Darkverse series.
I'm so intrigued about Amara and Danta, so I'm looking forward to seeing what The Emperor is about, but I'll definitely miss Morana and Tristian's spotlight.

I absolutely loved it, the plot was filled with hate and almost love, it was dark and gritty and had emotional moments. I loved the MC Morana, I related to her a lot and loved her thought process. Tristan Caine and Dante Maroni🔥I absolutely loved the twists in the tropes used and the plot twists were amazing. I cannot wait to read the next book!

This book reminded me a lot of the game Watchdogs Legion, with a world where technology is taking over and anything can be hacked. It had a great mix of action, mystery and a sprinkle of romance which ticked all my boxes. The plot was kind of scary how accurate our world could be in only a short time, I really enjoyed this fast paced book, however the ending left on a bit of a cliffhanger and there's no sequel...

It's highly recommended to watch Stranger Things before reading this book.
I liked the insight into Max's life and see details that weren't shown in S2. I also liked seeing her personality shine through and also Billy's development, it made me feel sorry for him. The plot follows a few key events from S2 but mostly fills in gaps. The writing style was more tell than show and the ending and character introductions felt super rushed.

I really enjoyed this simple yet cute contemporary romance. It was predictable and cliche but in a good way. I liked the MC Caymen and her sarcasm and humour, I also liked the contrasting love interest, Xander. The pacing was fast and overall easy to read.

A YA murder mystery an odd dark academia atmosphere mixed with a murder mystery. The story is told in a mix of flashbacks and present investigations. I liked how the MC has a photogenic memory and a unique intelligence and drive for justice. The mystery turned quite political near the end which I liked. I liked the twists and turns. I also didn't mind the romance. The ending was suspenseful and unpredictable.

This was a funny and well narrated retelling of A Christmas Carol. I loved seeing Holly's POV and her developments. The pacing was fast and I liked how Ethans actions reflected on Holly. I loved how the original Christmas Carol elements were incorporated into this unique afterlife world. The ending was absolutely perfect, aside from the plot twists it was slightly predictable but still heartwarming and happy, such a good Christmas story!

This book was a raw, honest story of a young black woman called Edie who has a passion for art and a brutal viewpoint of the world which is true.
The story is simple, but the ideologies and themes brought up bring an emotional rollercoaster of anger, frustration, gratification and pure honesty. The things Edie deals with, her thoughts and actions are questionable yet understandable, with a unique narration. Though the plot was empty and debatable

This was such an emotional book, the MC Savvy has such a hard life having to look after her intellectually disabled brother and dealing with her alcoholic father, which all causes her to have so much anger, which shows the through the pages so well. The plot is fairly basic but fast paced, the romance was sweet and built up well, the friendship was equally as important. The ending left wrapped well and had a fairly happy ending. I loved this book!

The first half of this book was basically a replica of From Blood And Ash, however the second half developed into it's own story. I liked that the MC Sera isn't a complete copy of Poppy, and she's more extroverted and less innocent. I found all the background info with the Gods so interesting, and the world building of the Shadowlands was cool. The Draki were so cute, little Reaver and Jadis are adorable! The ending left on a huge cliffhanger...

This is the most tropey YA dystopian I've ever read. The MC Eve is completely oblivious and selfish, the plot had such good potential but execution wasn't great, though it had a fast pace, there are a lot of time skips. Romance was instalove which I usually don't mind but it did not work well for this anti male story. Ending left on a cliffhanger but it's a wonder I got through this book at all, so I definitely won't be continuing with the others.

I found this sequel a lot slower paced compared to the first book, but enjoyed seeing more of Opal's childhood and her fathers dragon side. Plot was fairly simple and more about finding a solution to the cliffhanger from book 1. Did find Opal to be overly stubborn though. I liked that this one had a little more romance until Opal screwed it up, so hoping that gets resolved. Ending left on a cliffhanger again so looking forward to final book.

Set in 2115 Detroit, this book is an odd mix up of magic and Sci-Fi, there are lots of spells as well as family drama and suspense. It reminded me a lot of Warcross and Storage Hunters. The plot was super mysterious, I had no clue what was going to happen and I enjoyed the mystery, plus with a few plot twists and some family drama, it was intriguing.
There was a tiny hint of romance which was a nice change. I will definitely be reading the rest!

Loved the historical elements of the Titanic. Slow at times and a fairly simple plot that focuses more on the romance than vampire hunting, I enjoyed seeing the events unravel. The romance between Noelle/ Apolline and Logan/Alex was instalove but I didn't mind too much. Ending was bittersweet and had a good HEA. Though the whole book seems pointless as the main plot doesn't entirely get resolved it's hard to find a book about Titanic so I liked it

This was such a long eerie gothic romance with lush descriptions and elements of the paranormal, with the main setting being a dark manor near a corrupted black lake. The MC Leta is determined to save the world, and is so brave and sassy. I loved the relationship she has with her brother Arien. The romance was a perfect enemies to lovers with a brooding love interst being the mysterious Lord Rowan. The plot was enjoyable and left on a cliffhanger

Absolutely phenomenal underrated book. Such an original concept of a 1920s wing Walker. I loved the fiesty and brave MC Grace. Great descriptions that make you feel the thrill of barnstorming and Grace's aspirations. Fast pace, great character dynamics and swoon worthy romance, Henry suffers from PTSD from the war and it was portrayed greatly. Fairly basic plot with a lovely HEA ending but still enjoyable!

It's been five years since last binge reading TID and TMI so I thought its tone to go back into the shadowhunters world. This wasn't my favourite one, I found the first half slow and I didn't like Emma too much, though I did like the other characters and really enjoyed seeing the old characters come back. The plot was good, different to the other books and I will read the rest to find out what happens, plus that massive cliffhanger at the end...

This was such a cute, fluffy, romantic contemporary. The locations of San Francisco were written perfectly and the writing blended together well with a fast pace. The MC Bex was quirky, odd and honest who loves drawing anatomical pictures, the hawt love interst is Jack, a night time graffiti artist. The romance developed fast but was cute, and a little spicy. It had such a good take on mental health and also had a sweet HEA ending!

Overall a great apocalyptic sort of pirate adventure type YA book. It had a unique take on The Chosen One trope which was refreshing and I really liked the MC Charlotte. There was constant action and mystery which kept me on the edge, though I did predict the main plot twists. The romance was done very well and the ending had such a good HEA which once again was unique.

Think of every YA cliche trope and this book has it, however I did still find it entertaining. The plot was predictable and basic but I somehow still enjoyed it as it was simple and comfortable. The romance was instalove and super intimate which I get with the whole angel reincarnation thing, but it needed more development. The world building and descriptions were on point however and was my fave thing. I might read the next 2 to find out more?

The beginning didn't hook me right away but after 100 pages I was so invested. The pacing was slow at first but soon sped up. I loved the whole murder mystery plot mixed with witchcraft and demons, and romantic tension. I liked Emilia as a MC but found her to be contrasting herself a lot, but she was smart and determined which I liked. Wrath was🔥. The ending left on a huge cliffhanger so I'm looking forward to more, but book 3 is out in 2022...

Smooth writing, and had such a good first person perspective with a MC that is snarky, sassy and brave. The enemies to lovers romance was done so well and I loved the banter between the MC Charlie and Sebastian. The plot is action packed and fast paced and begins at page 1. I liked that the book had elements of Fae as well as vampires, the ending is sort of wrapped up but a lot is still left to answer and there isn't a planned sequel which is sad.

Lots of criminology and technicality which I loved, the whole book reminded me of a Criminal Minds episode. I had no clue what was going to happen and I really liked how all the characters worked together, especially the MC Cassie. Love triangle was a bit annoying and I'm very undecided but I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes. The ending was intense and unexpected, I like that there is still mystery for the next book.
