Finally, today was also the winter Friends of the Library sale! I got all these books for $8 💃🏻😍📚

The stack on the right is books for my son - a few he‘s been asking for and a few I think he‘ll like and want to read with him.

tournevis @cathysaid There are three LFL in Ottawa. Two right across the museum of nature, no one can make an argument against them and one near a social services building in a poor neighbourhood. All the others, every one, were taken down, even those that had the proper city paper work. Because neighbours complained. I kid not. 5y

cathysaid @tournevis Wow. How sad that people have such minor things (in the grand scheme of things) on their radar when that singular focus could be used much more productively! 5y

tournevis @cathysaid I know. One of my neighbours tried to stop the church rebuild from happening, because it would be rebuild bigger, which would mean more people around and she did not want that. 5y
