This book not listed . Excellent . Just what my head space needed right now. It‘s filled in places that were going off at tangents. Plenty to think about and to have a go at. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

1. Erie, Pennsylvania
2. Shelby, North Carolina
3. I have two sisters (middle child 💁🏼‍♀️) and a much older half sister who did not live with us growing up
4. I'm not sure it was the first book, but one of my favorites was We're Going on a Bear Hunt. I loved it so much I pretty much had it memorized and would read it to my little sister 🐻

Eggs Oh sweet! # 4! Thanks for joining in 💕💕 3y

If you‘re looking for a great CR look no further… “We‘re Going on a Bear Hunt”, by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Helen Oxenbury is a must have for all classrooms. Follow this beloved classic as the family hunts for a bear and the trials they face on their journey. Yikes! what will happen if they find a bear? This 1989 Smarties Book Prize winner is a fun chant that students love. #ucflae3414su20

Mazzole18 ESOL strategy 18 uses commands and directions that involve overt student actions as in TPR and optimize individual choice and autonomy URL 7.1 can be incorporated with this story. https://www.schooltimesnippets.com/2013/11/going-on-bear-hunt-sensory-bags.html has great ideas for sensory bags to go along with this TL story. 4y
DrSpalding You have a lovely writing style. Sensory bags are fantastic for all students but specifically for students with special needs. This is an excellent resource to include. Consider making sensory bags in your future classroom. 4y

We‘re going on a bear hunt by Michael Rosen is a super fun F book that shares a families journey to catch a bear. This would be great for a RA because once you get into the groove of it, it‘s such a catchy book. This awesome site http://case.cy.edu.tw/mediafile/4220012/news/350/2010-9/72010-9-13-15-47-52-nf1.... provides a script of the book, link to a song, and fun activities teachers could use for this book. #ucflae3414f19

cassandram For a UDL principle I would use 8.3 by fostering collaboration by getting students involved. The ESOL strategy I would incorporate 17 by providing contextual support through the videos, script, and activities in the link above. 4y
DrSpalding What a phenomenal resource! Songs work well! They are motivating and help children remember content. As you have noted they also comply with English learner and universal design principles. 4y

#ucflae3414f19 This RF book is about how a family is on an adventure to find a bear but it doesn't turn out the way they hoped! This book would be perfect for a DR since you the students could easily act out the different scenes in this book. The UDL guideline I would use for this book would be 3.2 (Highlight patterns, critical features, big ideas, and relationships) as this book is repetitious (in a good way!)

Jewelwinkler The EL strategy I would use is number 17 Provide contextual support through audio visuals, models, demonstrations, realia, body language and facial expressions) since this book will be acted out it will provide a great visual representation for EL's. A great resource to get more information on this book is https://www.scholastic.com/teachers/books/we-re-going-on-a-bear-hunt-by-michael-....

cassandram LOVE this book. When I first started working at a preschool this was the book that always got the children to listen and relax on the carpet. 4y
cassandram They even have a CD with it and it‘s great too 4y
Shannyblake Hey Jewel, I really love this post! The kids are adorable and this is a great book. Your EL strategy and UDL is aligned well to your post. Great job :) 4y

Texreader This one terrified my daughter when she was little when I thought she‘d love it because she loves bears. At 16, she still loves bears and she still recalls the trauma this book caused her. 🤣 5y
AshleyHoss820 @Texreader Oh my gosh, that‘s so cute!! At first, my kids were like that with the Three Little Pigs. My husband was a little too convincing as the Big, Bad Wolf! 😂 5y

We‘re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen is a realistic fiction picture book that I have performed with children‘s grades preK-2nd as a song. This book is perfect for a choral read and the students love this interactive book. A UDL strategy to go along with this book is strategy 5.1 (use multiple media for communication) and an EL strategy to go along with this book is strategy 18 (use commands and directions that involve overt student actions)

NicoleCumbo Https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_ShP3fiEhU will bring you to the song that the children can work with that interacts with this book. #ucflae3414sp18 6y
ambera I remember using this song during my music class in elementary school. I believe including songs in the curriculum is beneficial to a student's education 6y

#BelovedChildrensBook #HopIntoSpring - these are a few books I loved as a child. I pretty much loved all of Roald Dahl‘s books and still do but I think The Twits was my favourite. I listened to The Twins at St. Clare‘s books at night on audiotape before falling asleep. The Rainbow Fish was such a pretty book to look at and bears are my favourite animal so I adored We‘re Going on a Bear Hunt! 🐻

Piper really enjoyed this book, even though she's only 9 weeks old. I think it's because you have to make lots of noises, which she appreciates! This is the first book with an actual story that we've made it through 🤗❤📚

I've given chocolate up for lent and amongst my cravings I remembered this poem by Michael Rosen. I first heard it when I was about 8 and remember my teacher reading it with such enthusiasm.

**I couldn't find Chocolate Cake on here so used "we're going on a bear hunt", another of my favourites as a kid **

This board book format is one of my go to baby gift items. It was also a favorite of my youngest son. We would read the story and act it out. :) #picturebooklove #17booklove

TheLondonBookworm This book is crazy sad, have you seen the tv adaptation they did at Christmas? Made me cry! 7y
Christy2318 @TheLondonBookworm I hadn't heard that there was an adaptation so I looked it up. It looks like they took some creative license with the story. The book isn't sad at all. 7y

TBR Tuesday: my TBR is mostly ebooks, but this is my baby's daily TBR. We read all of these when he wakes up and before he goes to sleep. And these are just the ones in the bedroom. 😂😘📖📚
