I still feel that the absurdness of the worldbuilding takes away from the character interactions, but I liked this one better than the last, the battle/fight scenes were riveting.

4.75/5⭐️ (Close to excellent)
Dina is asked to protect a race that is victim to what amounts to ethnic cleansing.
The full-cast, graphic audio accounts for much or the excellence of this #audiobook, but the story/premise/world is also excellent. I love the characters. While the first two books felt almost like stand alones, this book ends up making connections from previous ones and ends with a tease of the next.
Another day, another picture of Pippin lounging under my Kindle. 🥰
I'm up to book three in this series and each one has gotten progressively better! I'll finish this one tonight and then have to take a quick break to read a book for an event Thursday, but I expect to finish the series this weekend.

Dina received an emergency message from her sister; her vampire friend and her werewolf almost boyfriend go with her to a planet full of vampire outlaws to rescue her. Sister and niece return to the Inn where they help Dina play host to the last of a species that is the focus of a religious hunt from a neighboring species and try to get an answer to their parents disappearance. SO many plots started, NEED authors to write more in this series!
This is a re-read but still a great book. I love the idea of magical innkeepers and alien visitors.
A refreshing escape into a sci fi creature way station with the most interesting life forms. I think it's brilliant. Even the secondary characters are well drawn up.
Today‘s lunch & book.
Kindle estimates I‘ve got less than two hours left in ONE FELL SWEEP, so I should finish it this evening. Yay! It‘s great so far, but I do miss the illustrations. The chapters feel longer than they did in the first two books, too, so I wonder if Andrews tinkered with their serialization schedule with this one. (Or my attention span could be shot.)
Further reading over supper (which: kale and pies; chicken for my proper meal, with raspberry cream cheese for dessert). The first two Innkeeper books were rereads, but ONE FELL SWEEP is entirely new to me. I can‘t wait to see how it plays out.
NB: the darker parts of the raspberry pie‘s crust are caramelized sugar, not burnt patches.
Today‘s anti-stress-starving lunch was scrambled eggs with a ton of feta mixed in.
Today‘s book is ONE FELL SWEEP by Ilona Andrews, hot on the heels of SWEEP IN PEACE. I‘m having too much fun with this series to take a break now.
I don‘t expect to see a lot of TBR reduction in April since I hope to reread some stuff, but here‘re the four books I MUST clear off the pile:
• the third House Wars novel. I‘ve been craving Michelle West.
• the third Innkeeper novel. I‘ve had an ARC of the first series omnibus on La TBR for so long I think the fancy print edition might now be out of print. Um.
• a KJ Charles romp based on a classic I haven‘t read
• a short digital freebie
Another knockout from Ilona Andrews. I hope there will be many more Innkeeper stories, especially featuring Dina. I‘m looking forward to Maud‘s story, too.
Dina receives an SOS from her sister and drops everything to rescue her. Back at the Inn, a hunted alien species begs Dina for help to save their race, which triggers a war with another vicious alien race. Meanwhile, something is attacking Innkeepers.
Ummmm - it‘s not just going to end here is it? (And yes, I know about Maud‘s book) I need more Dina!!!
I‘m not happy that I‘m working this weekend... but I‘m liking my lunch and book 😂
Great!!! When is the next book in the Innkeeper Chronicles here???
Loved it!
This series is fantastic! Each book has been a 5 star read for me (fingers crossed for book 4). We get some great character interactions and developments in this one and some spaceship travel which was one of the things holding it back from feeling more like science fiction to me. Spaceships mean science fiction! The fantasy and sci-fi blend doesn‘t suffer for this though.

A Happy-for-now ending to the Innkeeper Chronicles. Another strong series from Ilona Andrews!
An intergalactic inn, where travelers across the universe can find rest, respite, & safety from whatever ails them. An innkeeper whose bond with the magical inn allows it to grow, alter, and defend all the guests who alight upon its turf. Throw in some space vampires and werewolves, portal travel, and some universe battles and that's this series. This is book 3, & really with Ilona Andrews you can't go wrong. Great writing and great characters!
Every year on Valentine‘s Day, I post a list of fictional couples I‘ve loved from books that I‘ve read in the previous year. This is the NINTH edition of this list, I feel like such an old blogger. 😭😂 Blog post here: https://chachic.wordpress.com/2018/02/14/favorite-literary-couples-2018/

Had to share. The Ilona Andrews Innkeeper Series usually has Sweep in the title, just like the tagged book, which is the third installment. Apparently her contest for new book names isn‘t going well...😂
And great advice from Jeaniene Frost, author of the Night Huntress series and others.
Earlier this year, I devoured the three books that are currently out in the Innkeeper Chronicles: Clean Sweep, Sweep in Peace and One Fell Sweep. They got me out of a bad reading slump (which I knew they would). I'm continually amazed at how awesome Ilona and Gordon's writing is! Consistently entertaining, like this free fiction that was available as serials on their blog.

Even though I haven't finished the second book in the series yet, I couldn't resist this deal on the third. 🤷♀️
Innkeeper book 3. Still a fabulous series, and the over-arcing plot is developing deliciously! Can't wait for book 4...
Not sure why I didn't read this when I got it, but as usual this installation of the Innkeeper Chronicles was awesome. #20booksofsummer (1 down, 19 to go) Inspired by @TheBookHippie
I still have a book hangover from the Innkeeper Chronicles so I haven't started reading anything else. This was last night's #BookandDinner (#KindleandDinner?). Omurice and beef steak from Hoshino Coffee, a French-Japanese cafe.
Yesterday's coffee and a book quote from One Fell Sweep by Ilona Andrews. I knew I was going to binge on the Innkeeper Chronicles as soon as I started reading it, and I was right. Been staying up until 3am on week nights to read the three books that are currently out (coffee has been a necessity). So good! But that's not surprising since I love Ilona and Gordon's writing.

Last night's #BookandDinner. I dropped by the regular Friday drinks in the office pantry, had some wine, and grabbed dinner (char siew Iberico don) while reading. I still don't understand drinks without food, Filipinos always have food or snacks whenever we have for drinks.
Second coffee of the day! Stayed up past 3am again last night (this morning?) to finish the second book in this series and start the third one right after. So good! Really enjoying seeing Dina and Sean getting to know each other, and it's nice to finally see more of Dina's family.

I love Ilona Andrews! While the Innkeeper series isn't my favorite Andrews series, this did provide more of the excellent world-building I expect. Adventure, a bit of romance, aliens, and magic all appear as Dina rescues her sister and niece and comes a step closer to finding out about her parents. Four ⭐s.
I love this series because of the magical inn. I'm a sucker for magical buildings.
I love the world the Andrews have created with this series. So unlike anything I've read before
My constant reading companions... Zoey and Toby love when I spend time reading in the library! Also, I'm realizing how bare that wall looks behind me... could use some bookish art I think! We went from a tiny box of a house to a Victorian with 11 foot ceilings and everything we had looks too small now. Any suggestions on where to buy cool book related prints?
I enjoyed this book, interesting story with Dina sister being involved and having to protect an engaged species from attack. I love the relationship between all the character especially between Dina and Sean. If you like stories with werewolves and vampires but want a different take on it give this book a chance.
I really enjoyed this series. It was a great way to escape. I hope for more stories with these characters.
As a Serial read on the author's website we get to see the story unfold and wait w/baited breathe for the next installment. It's fun to see how the process works, how events or comments find their way into the book. serial reads have a risk of it feeling... off, choppy. I know I'll need to buy the book after, but that's part of the fun. How will it change, will I catch the changes? This was wonderful! The few tweaks & fixes really made the story.❤
A stunning story, that sweeps you up in the action and carries you away. I only wish I could visit the Inn... definitely at a quieter time, though!
Spotted on the author's Facebook page. Sound's like a good recommendation to me! LOL😂😂😂
