Choices: A Truth Seekers Novel | Bill Myers
14 posts | 1 reading
Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve." Joshua 24:15 In this second book of the Truth Seekers series, Bill Myers combines comedy and suspense to capture the importance of Biblical truths. Project Truth Seekers crazy invention is a super-holographic replica of Noahs ark. No problem, except with Noahs ark comes Noahs animalsall of them! In an effort to fix the Machine and remove the animals from camp, big brother Jake (older than sister Jenny by 12 minutes) enters the fantastically real computer program. Here, he experiences a world similar to our own with its sin and rebellion. But it is a world that could be saved, if the people would repent and trust in Gods only means of salvation. Meanwhile, Jenny and Jesse, her sort-of-boyfriend, travel back in time to stop Jennys father from making his own wrong decision. Laughter and drama abound as both Jake and Jenny learn the importance of making right choices . . . until both are hurled together into a spectacular encounter that nearly destroys Jennys life.

TheAromaofBooks Oh wow, these all sound good!! I'm leaning towards House of Salt and Sorrows or The Sea Witch, but I'm fine with either of them!! Did you see my post of possibilities? I tagged you but sometimes Litsy doesn't like to tell people they were tagged lol 1y
persephone1408 House of salt and sorrow is on my tbr but I happy with any of them really. 1y
mrsmarch House of Salt looks like it got better reviews than The Sea Witch, so unless @ozma.of.oz has a passionate feeling, I think we‘ll go with 1y
BookmarkTavern I haven‘t read any of these and they all look great! House of Salt and Sorrows is already on my TBR so I‘d be thrilled about that pick! 1y

I prefer living in the suburbs next to a big city so neither? Also never never pineapple on pizza! Finally, I'm ashamed to admit I haven't read Pride & the Prejudice yet (thanks to @sprainedbrain and #freakyfriday this will change soon) so I don't have an opinion there. #thisorthat #almostfriday @readherwriteher

sprainedbrain I haven‘t read Gone with the Wind, but I‘m pretty sure the answer is Mr. Darcy. If he‘s an option, it usually is. 😂 6y
readherwriteher @MissAimz_55 I also haven‘t read Pride and Prejudice yet. And @sprainedbrain I think that‘s the general consensus. 😂 6y

HELP! I'm having a bit of a book hangover and I can't decide what to read next. I've narrowed it down to these six, but I still can't make up my mind. Any advice or opinions?? 🤷🏻‍♀️😅 #somanybookssolittletime #drowninginmytbr

emilyhaldi I haven't read any of those so unfortunately I'm not much help... Curious about this one though!! 7y
Avanders Ooh I loved Slade House.. haven't read any of the others yet though.. 7y
chlobee Kell, Lila, and Rhy are my pick 😄 You meet some other really great characters along the way too, it's a fun book! 7y

BookishBelle The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe is the only one I have read. If you haven't read it, you must. It's so so good. 7y
JillR The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe is great but also a quick read with short chapters if that helps with the book hangover! 7y
Laalaleighh Schwab or Lewis! 7y
the-flashley Thank you guys for all the suggestions!I think that I'm going to read Lewis first, then Schwab, and then Mitchell. @Avanders @chlobee @Heretherebedragons @BookishBelle @JillR @Laalaleighh (edited) 7y

Littens dear, need your suggestions. I have these five chunksters on my TBR. Chunksters and I don't really get along well, but I wish to attempt one before the year ends. I'll be reading it in between my other reads. Which one is your vote?

Clwojick I've been meaning to read 7y
BookBelle84 Gone with the Wind! 7y
batsy I've only read Anna Karenina and A Fine Balance. Both are excellent. But to help you pick one, AK. For some reason it strikes me as a good end-of-year big read ☺️ 7y

Theresa I have Anna Karenina on my TBR & meant to read it for one of my challenges this year, but I bumped it in favor of something shorter. If you don't pick it now, maybe we can do an Anna Karenina read along in 2018. (My reading calendar is already jam packed for the remainder of 2017.). @Clwojick @erzascarletbookgasm (edited) 7y
Tamra A Fine Balance made me fall in love with Indian writers. 7y
Jess7 I'm interested in Anna Karenina - if you do a read along next year @Theresa 7y
Librarybelle I'd choose either Gone with the Wind (if you're in the mood for an American South story) or Anna Karenina (if you're in the mood for Russian lit). Haha...shows my eclectic taste! 7y
quietlycuriouskate I'd be interested in an Anna Karenina (re)read along next year. @Theresa 7y
Kristy_K @Theresa It's on my list for next year. I'd love to join in if you did a read along! 7y
erzascarletbookgasm @BookBelle84 @batsy @Jess7 @Librarybelle thanks for your suggestions/vote. 🙂 7y
erzascarletbookgasm I was swaying towards AK, but I think it'll be great to do a read along on that one. So, @Theresa if you will lead this next year, there're already few of us who will like to join. 🙂 7y
emilyhaldi Oooohh I have been meaning to read Shantaram for a couple years now- maybe you can read that next and let me know if I should too 😂 7y
erzascarletbookgasm @Tamra I don't read enough writers from India. Who are your favourites? 🙂 7y
SaraBeagle NOT the Fowles. I love long books but really struggled to get through that one. The rest are great. (edited) 7y
LeahBergen A Fine Balance! ❤️ 7y
Blaire A fine balance!!! It is soooo good. 7y
andrew61 A fine balance is wonderful. 7y
Theresa @erzascarletbookgasm @Jess7 @River_Voice @Kristy_K Looks like I'll be leading an Anna Karenina read along in 2018. I've never done that before (Ack!!) so I'm glad I'll have time to figure it out. Do any of you have thoughts on when to do it? Would January be too soon? Maybe get the year off to a good start with a big fat book? I'll start a separate post once I get the "when" figured out. 7y
Kristy_K @Theresa I like the idea of starting in January. :) 7y
quietlycuriouskate @Theresa January sounds good. (Sorry @erzascarletbookgasm we seem to have hijacked your post! 😮) 7y
erzascarletbookgasm @Theresa January is good. Looking forward as I haven't done a buddy read successfully 😅. 7y

I forgot my library book that I wanted to start today and I finished my eBook loan yesterday. I guess it's fortunate that I have a *few* options in my Kindle library that I can download to my laptop at work to entertain myself at lunch. 😳

What to choose??

SpeculativeFemale So many books, and never enough time. 💙 7y
Andrew65 I hate choosing new books to read, I can never decide what to read next! 7y
DGRachel @Andrew65 I sorted the list by author and grabbed the first one. 😂 7y
Andrew65 @DGRachel A good a way as any, there should be an option on there for a lucky dip! 7y

Dragon I just did a reread of Discovery of Witches and enjoyed it just as much the second time 😀📚 7y
bookishbunny The only one there that I've read is A Discovery of Witches and I loved it. Hope to do a reread soon. 7y

Habt ihr teilweise auch das Problem, dass ihr vor lauter Büchern nicht wisst, was ihr lesen sollt? Dieses Glas ist wirklich eine gute Hilfe, vor allem habe ich auch lang gehegte Subs so entdeckt. 😉

Do you also have the problem, that you don't know which of all whole books you haven't read is up to read next? This jar is a pretty good idea. I also meet some books of the long lasting tbr. 😉

readinginthedark I've thought of doing this but never tried it. 7y
drokka I would need something bigger than a jar to begin with. 7y
BookHermit This is so me right now. I just tried the digital equivalent of this and rejected every suggestion 😫 7y

Sarah83 @Yanes Das klappt wirklich gut. Ich mache das zwischendurch immer wieder mal. 🙄 7y
Yanes Danke für den Tipp 😊 7y
Sarah83 @Yanes Gerne. Da gibt es auch Abwandlungen von. Du kannst entweder alles in ein Glas werfen oder Themengläser machen oder nach Genres oder oder... 😉 7y
