I live in the area, making this interesting for me. However, this is incredibly short, and read a bit like a high school research paper. Overall, I think it will make a great donation to my kids, super small, school library.
I get frustrated while reading these because of the repetitive nature of always fighting the same battle. We get a glimpse of happiness/good and then right back to misery/evil. I keep reading for resolution and it is never found. #JoyousJanuary
This series has been frustrating for me. Book 2 felt like book one. Same story, not much development until the end. Now I want to read book 3 because the ending was strong. Will the next book give any answers to the questions that started in book one? Book 2 did not answer the big questions. #JoyousJanuary
I don't exactly know how I feel about this book. There were definitely moments that caused me to cringe with uncomfort. I am intrigued enought to move on to book 2.
I was about 12 years old when I read Outbreak by Robin Cook, the book that started my curiosity about the Ebola virus. I am 41 years old and still cannot stop myself from reading books of any sort related to the virus.
This series is fun.
1st book of the 2023 reading season in the books.
Some of this was hard to absorb. I have informed my family (mom, sisters, husband) of the pictured information, because if I know it they should too. This is the first time it actually hit me that, car and clown costume, at Alcatraz East in Pigeon Forge, are the real deal and not replicas. I know they tell you that but people say things all the time for money. Adding the spoiler tag to hide this for those who are not ok with its content.
I love this so much! I want to give it to my niece and save it for my daughter, plus keep it for myself. I have been sitting alone in my basement reading for hours.
Also, Jane Eyre is my favorite book, and when I see references to it in other reading, I become irrationally happy.
Thanks @Alfrazier21, this was everything I wanted it to be, and more.
Thank you, @Alfrazier21 for my #Jolabokaflod gift. I am so excited to read this and will be taking it to my in-laws as an escape. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
@MaleficentBookDragon
I have recieved my #Jolabokaflod gift.

#JolabokaflodSwap headed to the post office. @MaleficentBookDragon
I didn't know what to expect from this, but I think that is a good thing. I did enjoy it. Now, I am back to caring for my teenager with the flu. #WinterReadathon
The final book to read before gifting. My favorite tradition is to read the book I will gift a neice or nephew and then tuck a letter into the book for them. I only do this on my husband's side of the family because I don't see these kids as often and hope they feel individually loved with each note. #WinterReadathon #Dailychallenge #FavoriteChristmasTradition @Andrew65
Such a cute romance set at Christmas. A quick 1 day read. #WinterReadathon #HolidayRead @Andrew65
This is Atticus. He sometimes thinks he is a cat, but he is really 1/2 German shepherd, 1/4 husky, 1/4 lab. #WinterReadathon @Andrew65
I absolutely loved the way the writing flowed through this book. I wish I loved the characters too.
One of the trees in our home. It is not in its permanent home, it is leaning. I took the picture because Sherlock and Watson looked so cute napping next to it. #WinterReadathonDailyChallenge #WinterReadathon @Andrew65
I was all in on this book, until the big reveal. The reveal was so far out there that I was completely pulled out of the story and I could never fully recommit.
I guess I got the ending I wanted, but it felt so rushed. Maybe on the life "in between", the "how" it all tied together in the nice little bow. I am disappointed.
I really enjoyed this book. The strong female characters make this book amazing. Finished it while on a work/vacation trip, and this is taken from the property my patents will live out their retirement on.
There will never be enough books about, strong, intelligent, eccentric, leading women. Thanks Ali Hazelwood for writing characters that fill this role. I loved Bee!
Points total for my final week of #Scarathlon2022 is 445. I wanted to finish stronger, but life got in the way. My Great Grandmother passed away and it was A LOT. I didn't know I would be so emotional. I appreciate @Clwojick for all of the work you do for this team every year. Thanks #TeamSlaughter for making tbe month of October fun. Until next year.
Super intense #TeamSlaughter read. Great story line, but graphic. Great way to finish #Scarathlon2022 @Clwojick
@The.Great.Catsby I an stoked about these books. The π sock are in use. Thank you so much!! @wanderinglynn #HHS Happy Halloween!
Reading this felt like driving by a terrible car accident, I was so uncomfortable with the situation yet I had to know. I still cannot process how I feel about all of it. Halloween definitely feels like the right time of year for this book. #Scarathlon2022 #TeamSlaughter @Clwojick
I don't know if the book makes me sad or I am just having a sad day. I enjoyed the book but the ending was a lot. #Scarathlon2022 #TeamSlaughter @Clwojick
This was supposed to be my post about the week 3 #Scarathlon2022 word game, but I was so excited when my daughter asked to watch Scream with me (she hated scary movies). I loved every second of watching this with her!! #TeamSlaughter @Clwojick
Week 2 = 2460
Death's Acre was great. I have always been intrigued by the subject matter. Pictures from our trip to the orchard. #Scarathlon2022 #TeamSlaughter @Clwojick
Started and finished Blindsed last night. Insomnia has one benefit, reading time. 8:46:40 for yesterday. #Scarathlon2022 #TeamSlaughter #OutstandingOctober #Spookoween #31by31 @Clwojick @Andrew65 @TheSpineView @Catsandbooks
The soul focus of #OutstandingOctober will be time tracking. Get as much time as I can adding points for #Scarathlon2022 and #TeamSlaughter. @Andrew65
I enjoyed this more than the 1st!! I wholly believe it is because you become more in touch with the main characters, the surrounding characters are still there, but not as strong of a presence. #Scarathlon2022 #TeamSlaughter #Spookoween #31by31 @Clwojick @TheSpineView @Catsandbooks
I have just never been a huge fan of short stories, there isn't enough time for me to build my relationship with the characters. #Scarathlon2022 #TeamSlaughter @Clwojick
#Scarathlon2022 #TeamSlaughter 820 points for week 1. @Clwojick #Spookoween2022 @TheSpineView #31by31 @Catsandbooks total time reading 11:40:25
'- the idea of eternity is tiring; you feel that you want to stop. But that's because you are thinking of eternity in terms of Time, and mumbling in your brain, "And after that, and after that?" Don't you grasp the idea that in eternity there isn't any "after", any more than there is any "before"? It's all one. Eternity isn't a quantity: it's a quality.'
Started reading this during #20in4 which read for about 9.5 hours. @Andrew65
I finished this today. Definitely an interesting story where a haunting led to a detective trying to solve a crime.
#Scarathlon2022 #TeamSlaughter @Clwojick
I loved this narrator!!!
The story was good, it does take you back to a more youthful time.

This book was incredibly interesting is some areas and felt incredibly slow in others. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. I do love #SirSherlock and his one exposed fang, while posing in his sleep.
