This was a weird book for me. While I respect what this book did for the genre, I couldn't get passed that the main character kept saying how innocent and childlike the girl from the future was that he was sleeping with.

I think I had extremely high expectations for this book and a lot of it wasn't met. It's less than 100 pages and packs a lot into it. There wasn't a lot of detail in the world building itself. I liked the main character. She was solid but other characters and places just didn't have a fleshed out feeling. Writing was solid, I just wish there had been more.

This is the second book in the Wayward Children series. It is about Jack and Jill and their adventure to The Moors which seems to be the home of a type of Dr. Frankenstein and Dracula. Well written. I loved this book.

I liked the overall story. There are some issues I had which almost made this a so-so. For example, the author does lead to some stereotypes which makes it hard to see certain characters as whole. There could also be a better conclusion at the end.

I love this book. There isn't a BIG plot (like, no monsters....) but it was a good story. A true science fiction in that it was fiction featuring scientists.

Implanted is a novel where civilization (at least in the USA) has to live in domed cities. Peoole can use the internet with their eyes and the main character likes to place VR games. She also happens to work for a company that transfers data through blood. I like the action and the world building. Intriguing premise and now am wondering if there will be a sequel.

I decided to give this book a try because I've seen a lot about it. Really, it comes down to me giving into reading things my younger self would have liked. It was okay. Cats with human like personalities and being divided into Clans. Humans are still a thing in thus universe but they aren't featured.

A post-apocalyptic novel with mystery, Bannerless is set in a time where society has been restructured after everything goes to hoo-ha. People have to prove they are able to care for a child before they are allowed to have one (in which they are entitled a banner to prove they are allowed).

This book kept me hooked. I read it in a few days. The pace isn't too hurried but not so slow that I'm wondering if there is a plot. Characters relatable.

This book is about a man who is in prison for killing his girlfriend and the rehabilitation he goes through. There are interesting ideas that kept me reading. Writing style wasn't my preference in which the scene wasn't set in detail so sometimes I got a little lost and had to reread paragraphs.

This was a nice look at the Star Trek universe after DS9. It would have been nice to read some of the before events of Garak becoming castellan. However, it did not take away from the story. Garak is still the clever Cardassian.

julesG Clear sign I'm still tired and got up to early: I wondered why Garak was one of the Kardashians. 🙈 1y
