pickSo I have always been a big Pittsburgh Pirates fan, am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I enjoy history. So it was a hit with me. The writers love of the Pirates and his thoughts and insights on Vern Law were well written and shows how a game can change the outlook of an entire city.

@amber_ldsmom recommend Forever Amber to me because she had loved the romanticism of this book. Seeing how I wish to be more romantic, I am in need of some great literature to show me the way. Any recommendations?
Next read? Into the Wild gets the nod due to amber_ldsmom‘s great review and my daughter Novalee‘s inability to put any of these books down for a breath. Has anyone read past the first few books?

Has anyone else started their love for reading with comics? The young me just couldn‘t get into books.....until I found the X-Men. My lovely wife Amber introduced me to Jane Eyre, Hamlet and other wonderful books I enjoy today.....and I hope she has found some joy in the X-Men. 🤓
