We received a beautiful copy of Peter Pan for Christmas and we read it for bedtime story. I had only watched the Disney film, so I was shocked by the book. Peter Pan is a horrible character my son even started cheering on Captain Hook. Don‘t even get me started on Wendy and spring cleaning! #peterpan

I read this again to check if it‘s suitable for my 8 year old. Compared to Peter Pan which we are currently reading I don‘t think he will find this too scary #harrypotter #wizards

The story was quite slow, really improved towards the end. I prefer the authors death in paradise novels.

Excellent book. When Edie‘s ex mother in law Anna dies she is relieved. Edie blames her for the accident which destroyed her family.
Anna leaves an old abandoned villa to Edie and her ex husband in her will.
The villa holds many secrets and someone in the village is determined to drive the couple away. #Thehousebythesea #LouiseDouglas #RichardandJudybookclub

It wasn‘t a great story. Hardly any mention of Miss Marple. There was then a rush to tie up the loose ends. #agathachristie #missmarple

It was interesting idea, the 3 wicked stepmothers teaming together to reek revenge on the princesses. However the ending was too cheesy. #fairytales #amazonorginalstories #shortstories

The 3rd short story I‘ve read from the faraway collection. Two detectives investigate the murder of 5 girls nicknamed “the princesses” at a high school.
I found the style of writing difficult to read and nearly bailed a few times.#fairytales #faraway #shortstories #amazonoriginals

Hazel and Gray the 2nd book I‘ve read from the faraway collection. The books are based on fairytales, only around 30 pages long.
The story was interesting loosely based on Hansel and Gretal. #fairytales #shortstories

Mandigolightly I just read this and totally thought the story was too big for the the 30 pages. It made it seem so rushed 3y
Ninja2020 I did feel like there were chunks missing. I still thought the story was good. I wonder whether all the books have a maximum word count? 3y

Only started reading Agatha Christie this year but this has been my least favourite. I thought there were too many characters it was difficult to keep track.
The story gathered pace towards the end and the conclusion was interesting but I found this book hard work.
