The book‘s cover very accurately captures the essence of the entire book. With bold personality, Robinson bravely uncovers the stains in her life. However, she does so with a stroke of wisdom which allows the reader to see her evolution. A very transparent piece of work, the author explores many different relational dynamics. Great book for young women that are struggling to see beyond the mistakes they may have made in life.

Cracked is the gripping novel by Brianna S. Clark. Set in 1997 at a rehabilitation center, Lilly “LuLu” St. Blanc, a divorced attorney and single mother, finds herself swept off of her feet and lured into the destructive world of addiction after meeting Stephen Flaherty. What I loved about this book is that the story moved along at a steady pace. It was an entertaining book that kept my interest.

Vibrant At Any Age: A Guide to renew your life and become vigorous, healthy, and happy by Dr. Josefina Monasterio is a rewarding read. I enjoyed the book simply because the author is a 70 year young competitive bodybuilder. And she is crushing her competition. Simplistic without being sacrificing, the book allowed me to get a quick glimpse into the mind of this fascinating woman.

Saturday morning! Sitting outside on my patio reading The Last Black Unicorn by @tiffanyhaddish l started reading it late last night. And so far l am loving this book. She has experienced some really crazy things in life but her attitude is so nonchalant that it makes her sad stories funny. ⭐️⭐️⭐️If I had to describe this book in three words it would be men, anger, and broadway. These were the three reoccurring themes throughout the entire book. Although I appreciated reading about Jenifer's wild life, I soon became tired of the same topics. This was a very interesting read for me because although some of the chapters were redundant, I still found them entertaining.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ In her memoir Blessed Life, Kim Fields delivers it all. In 215 pages Kim Fields along with Todd Gold delivers her life story in such an engaging way I found it difficult to put this book down. Blessed Life is everything I love in a good entertainment memoir. Taking the reader into Kim‘s personal life, this book isn‘t about the actress. Instead it is about the woman, mother, daughter, sister, wife and friend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A quick read. I read it in less than a hour. This is a compilation of Maya Angelou‘s most impactful words of wisdom. Some of the chapters include Love & Relationships, Literature, Spirituality, Grace, Courage, Emotions and Self-Esteem plus many others. This is the perfect book to lift your spirits when you‘re not feeling your best. Dr. Angelou gives the reader that old school wisdom that quite frankly, is simply hard to come by today.

In her latest book titled, A Good Cry: What We Learn From Tears and Laughter, Nikki Giovanni gives us an intimate look into the most emotional moments of her life. In it she pays homage to those she have loved and lost. Writing poems for some of her dearest loved ones including her mother, Dr. Maya Angelou, Ruby Dee, Afeni Shakur, as well as many others. My favorites were the pieces written for Dr. Angelou. They were very touching.

Poetry Stories: Diary of a Masochist: A Collection of Poems, is a soul searching book that will resonate with the sometimes misunderstood, broken hearted, sexy and free-spirited woman. A really quick book to read, at only 59 pages, it packs a powerful punch. What l enjoyed most about this book is the author‘s vulnerability. Ericka Hatcher holds nothing back as she delivers each poem with passion and purpose.

Other Woman | Amina Pankey

Reading this memoir by Amina Pankey from VH1‘s Love and Hip Hop New York. I‘m on chapter 5/12. So far she has written about her childhood in Germany, her passion for American music, and how she along with her sisters came to New York to pursue a music career. What has surprised me most is learning that LA Reid once signed her to Island Def Jam. AND l actually remember seeing her music video years ago. I just didn‘t know it was Amina until now!

⭐️⭐️⭐️Appearances Too is the steamy, character driven second installment in the Appearances series by author K. Reshay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ As much as I would like to say Rise And Grind is a must read for anyone looking to take their grind to a higher lever...I cannot. Instead, Rise and Grind read to me like a book of bios detailing the life and accomplishments of the author‘s business partners and associates. There were definitely some inspiring and insightful moments but not enough for me to consider it a must read.

Underneath It All is the spicy memoir that chronicles the life of reality television star Erica Mena. Although she states this is not a tell-all-book, I believe there are some individuals she has written about that would beg to differ. I would only recommend this book for the die hard Erica Mena fan. While sharing her truth Mena did what she does best, and that is give it to us straight with no chaser.
