Happy #memoirmonday! Listen you guys! This book came out in November. But I didn‘t buy it until yesterday. I didn‘t jump right into it because honestly I didn‘t think it was going to be that good. I thought it would be just “ok”. Well listen here…this book is goood!!! I can‘t wait to finish work so I can go read some more. Porsha is spilling ALL her tea☕️ regarding her romantic relationships. I‘m loving it😆! #memoirs #mustread #blackbooksmatter

Incredibly intense, this novel draws you in so that you completely zone out into it. Definitely scared the crap out of me but it was so worth it #alyssacole #whennooneiswatching #intense #thriller #blackbooksmatter #notjustinfebruary

So excited to finally read this one. Children of Blood and Bone is one of the best books I‘ve ever read, I‘m so excited there‘s a sequel and that I‘m finally reading it. What books are you super impatient about the sequels of?

Thought provoking and smart, this short book of essays lacks a strong punch! Highly Recommend! #BookspinBingo #ownvoices #blackbooksmatter

There‘s still time to sign up for and attend this event. An inspired thinker and writer and a timely conversation! #antiracism #blacklivesmatter #blackbooksmatter

Christine It was such a wonderful conversation! And I loved his idea for dealing with a racist friend by starting a bookclub with them and, after choosing a bunch of books that aren‘t about racism, sneaking one in that is! 😂 4y
heikemarie @Christine I liked it a lot! The casting issues were frustrating at first, I missed the beginning. I also liked the plug for book clubs! I thought his quote about teaching “black children they are not less because they have less, and white children that they are not more because they have more” was revelatory. 4y
Christine YES! That was profound. And yeah, the tech issues were a bummer. I thought about giving up bc I get so much daily Kendi wisdom via social media...but there is never too much Kendi wisdom. 4y
