Since Mr. Scrooge and Mr. Grinch both start out as mean curmudgeons who change at Christmas, I think Scrooge and A Christmas Carol work well for today's musical prompt. ??Happy Christmas Eve-Eve and as Tiny Tim would say, "God bless us every one! "?❤️

I just finished this ARC about a woman, Piper, who is struggling with her autistic son and is left nursing her mean old father back to health after a near-fatal heart attack. Piper‘s son and father start to form a bond that Piper herself never had with her father. I really wanted to like this one but the chapters written from the son and father‘s perspectives didn‘t feel authentic.

#youreameanonemrgrinch I seem to be drawn to ‘grumpy old man fiction‘recently!
Moses Sweetland is laugh-out-loud funny, with his cussing and sarcasm, yet the story is unbearably sad at times. With compulsory re-location in place, and Moses the only hold out, its a story of unusual friendships, what family means, the importance of home and of one man's loneliness. Gorgeous prose capture the quirky islanders and their lives in this beautiful place.

Anyway - I love seeing the flags everywhere when I get to your country. I hope I can muster the strength to drive up there next year; not to mention having the funds. 6y

#DecDays #YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch Upon first glance both Sheldon & Ove, may seem like two grumpy, crotchety,ill-tempered old men😡 but really the opposite is true!!!! These stories are filled with humor, heart and insightfulness about how we often view our elders and the quick judgements we sometimes make. Highly recommend both books!
