#Scandalous #Day20

The most scandalous mom, or Teen Mom, I could think of is Farrah Abraham. Controversial and scandalous.

Eggs Good one! 2y
Megabooks Oh yeah. She‘s nuts! 2y

Read this back when it was longlisted for the 2017 Women‘s Prize. Interesting mystery that explores what it means to be a good mother in the eyes of society. Inspired by the true story of Alice Crimmins.

#PrinceofJuly #Scandalous The Picture pf Dorian Gray was considered scandalous when it was first published. It is a fabulous book, one of my favorites. @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @vkois88

GingerAntics I‘ve never read this book, but I‘ve worked with 14/15 year olds that were required to read it. It sounds interesting. What was controversial about it. I do love a good controversial book. 6y
Reviewsbylola I haven‘t read this yet. My husband absolutely hated it so I‘m a bit scared. 6y
posierope One of my favourites too! 6y

BookwormM Controversial because of how Dorian behaves 6y
ElisabethRose I just got through reading it not too long ago and loved it! 6y
CoffeeNBooks @GingerAntics I teach this in my AP Literature class and my students love it! I think Oscar Wilde is a literary genius, and is one of my favorite authors. 6y
CoffeeNBooks @GingerAntics It was considered scandalous because of the supernatural element of the story. 6y
GingerAntics Of course. I have no idea why people shy away from the supernatural. Definitely checking out this book. 6y
CoffeeNBooks @GingerAntics I agree! I think the supernatural is fascinating. This was published in 1890, when the supernatural wasn't an acceptable topic. 6y
vkois88 This has been on my TBR for forever. I need to get to it! 6y
