A fairytale with much to consider. If not for Litsy, it would have continued to rest on my #TBR shelf. #24in48 #readingnostalgia #throwbackreadathon

#24in48 #readingnostalgia

I'm so glad my mom saved a few of my favorites from childhood. This is one of my most beloved and it's what made me a reader. Thanks Judy Blume!

Clocked in 2 hours (almost) before crashing last night. Have my coffee and ready to put some time in this morning.

My parents bought a World Book Encyclopedia set & my sisters and I always loved reading the poems in the Childcraft series that came with it. Here is one of my favorite poems! #TheSugarPlumTree #EugeneFields #ReadingNostalgia #24in48

There are definitely children‘s books that I read before this that I still go back to, but I think it‘s pretty telling that I own three copies of The Golden Compass (actually four, I‘m pretty sure I own it on Kindle, too). #24in48 #challenge #readingnostalgia

This is my first copy of A Wrinkle in Time. I read it for the first time in 6th grade and, as you can tell, many times since. I have a newer copy gifted to me by a friend that I read now because this one is a little fragile these days.

This two books reminds me of childhood, I would practically inhale any book by Enid Blyton. Secret Seven was on of my favorite series by her. And to this day I can remember my English teacher narrating Oliver Twist.

@24in48

RealLifeReading Yes! Enid Blyton fan here too! I loved her books especially the Magic Faraway Tree! 6y
Varshitha @RealLifeReading My love for reading began with her books 😊 6y

Some of my childhood books that Bella now enjoys (although I might enjoy reading them again a tiny bit more...) along with my old ted (she doesn‘t really like him, but humours me) and startled-looking Tiny Tears doll, who sadly now only possesses one leg but is dearly loved, and still wearing an outfit my Nanna knitted in about 1979! ❤️ #readingnostalgia #raisingreaders

sweetpealsd Isn‘t it wonderful reading your old favorites to your kids and watching them enjoy it? I‘m reading James and the Giant Peach with my boys and they love it! It was one of my favorites as a kid! 6y
JillR Yes it‘s great @sweetpealsd ! Although I‘m finding some don‘t stand the test of time as well as others! I agree Ronald Dahl is always a winner though 😊 6y
Crewgurl I thought I was the only one whose nonna crocheted clothes for her dolls 😂 6y
JillR No @Crewgurl 😂 This outfit also comes with matching bonnet, tights and knickers not seen in the pic - and my sister has a matching doll and outfit, just a different colour! Our two girls both love playing with their “old dolls” 🤣 6y
Crewgurl Yes!!!!!!! Lol. Mine had extra outfits for when I wanted to change her too 😂 6y

The tagged book isn't quite right but I loved Travels with Gumdrop which is exactly the same age as me. I have books that are older but I have literally owned this my entire life ♥️ #readingnostalgia #24in48 @24in48
