pickI do not like zombies but I‘m glad I picked up this book. It‘s got other supernatural creatures besides zombies. There are vampires, witches, trolls, etc. It was really good on audio. The narrator was so good with voices!

The book grew on me somewhat. I'm not actually a romance person, and this leaned heavily on the romance side. I read it for a book club. I was more invested in the second half when the other supernatural characters were introduced. I found some of the one-liners funny, and I like the idea of zombies who yell out remnants in French before they eat your brains. "Bonjour!"
panI found it hard to get why these two MC's are together other than end of world scenario - I'm expected to believe that they fall instantly in love but the chemistry is all wrong. I was missing the comedy and romance of the "romcom" part of the title.
Also the sex scene felt weird to me that I did indeed skim it. Yup I did, and had no problem with it. I just felt it was graphically uneccesary. Just not for me.

pickThis book was just so much fun! Our heroine, Evie attempts to save her gym-bro neighbor from an zombie attack believing he can't defend himself, only to find out that he is a lethal vampire who is more than able to defend himself. He also has the nerve to get angry at Evie for attempting to save him (admittedly, throwing a burrito at a charging zombie is not super effective, but it was all she had at the moment). (Cont.)
