This first week post-vacation has me wiped out. It is crazy hot out but am giving myself a much needed wine and book break to celebrate getting past hump day of my daughter‘s first week back to school. Also...this book...a lot to discuss...we‘ve decided to move book club to a member‘s home instead of a restaurant bc I think the convo might cause a lot of stares from the other patrons. #backtoschool #humpday

JanuarieTimewalker13 Thank you....Haha...hmmm, let‘s say I was in a better place after and before...I had 7 good years after NHL, then I fainted and fell off a step and broke my hip, super humid, hot day. My advice: stay hydrated and fed. 8mo

JanuarieTimewalker13 Awhhh, thank you. Yes, it has cut into my joie de vivre, because I‘m such a walker and physical type. I try to look on the bright side and say at least I didn‘t hit my head. A hip can be replaced (not easily) but a head can‘t. Lol 8mo

It‘s been an intense couple of weeks, and I‘m giving myself a hump day off! I plan on practicing some 🧘‍♀️ poses I would like to improve (looking at you Warrior III, Half 🌙 and Crow!), doing the 45 min Black History Peloton 🚴🏻‍♀️ class, reading ⬆️ book while listening to This Is Me, and catching up on Big Little Lies - figured I should finish Season 1 before 2 is released!

4thhouseontheleft @Redwritinghood That‘s awesome! What type of yoga do you practice? I‘m loving this book, esp how she focuses on the 8 limbs of yoga rather than only the asanas. I‘ve moved away from the studio into more of a home practice, since that‘s what is working for me right now. @jb72 It‘s been raining most of this week here, too. Rainy days = reading days! Well, in theory at least. 😂 10mo

Redwritinghood @4thhouseontheleft It‘s primarily a vinyasa yoga, if I had to label it. It‘s very athletic (lots of planks, high lunge, chair poses, etc), but also breath and meditation. Class is 1.5 hr. Just got back and I‘m beat. 10mo

4thhouseontheleft @Redwritinghood I love the longer classes. I do a mix of flow, restorative and stretch, depending on what I need on any given day. 10mo
