I got a late start, but the 1st is finished. I actually read this about a year ago, but I want to be true to the publishing date order so... . Every time I read an AC mystery I always tell myself to pay attention to every detail, especially early on; and every time I always miss or forget something. This was a good read. Looking forward to “The Secret Adversary“.

I picked this up for 50 cents at the library the other day. While I prefer Christie‘s novels, this was an enjoyable experience/story collection.
Five Poirot, one Miss Marple, two Parker Pyne, and one detective-less story (which felt more like Westmacott than Christie IYKYK). The only one I‘d read before was the Miss Marple, but I had seen all five of the Poirot ones adapted with David Suchet. I ❤️Agatha Christie.
so-soMeh. One of my least favorite of Christie‘s works so far.
Hastings was especially annoying in these stories.
I mostly listened to the audio while knitting Estella, my emotional support chicken, seen here with the paperback, so it was worth it.
I got laid off last month & am having a hard time finding a new job. Thankfully I have books & hobbies to keep me from falling too far into depression. #christiescapers #agathachristieclubr3 #audioknitting
And again, doing some background reading on the current Poirot murder mystery. I would have liked any of the displayed covers compared to the one my ebook did. 🙄
pickI don‘t get the covers of these cheap ebooks. Somehow I imagined Fernkurs Park to be more opulent, but perhaps I am wrong. It is funny to follow Poirot trying to be an average citizen cultivating pumpkins. For sure he wouldn‘t last long and a murder case would sneak back into his life and Poirot is taking it gratefully. And The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is definitely a good case for a come back.
