A little bit of "light" reading over the Christmas break. I started each of these books in 2016, but they've taken me a while to get through because of the nature of the content, especially #ALittleLife, which has been heartbreaking to read.

Read this in early 2017. Absolutely wonderful while at the same time devastatingly heartbreaking. I fell in love with the characters and their lives. This is hands down the most emotional reading experience I‘ve ever had. It is one of the best novels I've ever read and, yet, I will likely never read it again because it broke my heart.

Last night I finished #thepeopleinthetrees & I'm honestly considering burning this book. I, the reliable reader that I am, was taken for the ride that was forewarned & promptly ignored.

erinreads I had to bail on this one earlier this year. I just couldn't get into it after sticking it out for 100 pages. 😕 7y

Cathythoughts Oh no. Sounds difficult. Still I loved ( maybe not the exact word) A Little Life. I'm stacking this one. Fetal position ? Crying ? Oh god, I'm still going to try. I have been warned. 7y

mellisarock It's about four people who became family to each other in college and dealing with the junk from childhood and life together. It is a massive book but it is totally worth every page. @BeyondtheBookends2 7y
