Hairdresser 💇‍♀️ reading 📖 😊 I‘m enjoying this read more than I thought I would , it is a stark reminder how women & girls who were considered “different “ were preyed upon by misogynists! #aprilbookbingo #aprilbingopick #bookbingo

Fangirl: A Novel | Rainbow Rowell

Pickpick

It had been several years since I read this one, so I was excited when it came up as my #triplespin! Even though Cath is in college, to me this is what YA should be - a likable protagonist who learns and grows as a person without changing her entire personality. The love interest is an important part of the story, but so are her relationships with her parents and her sister. I actually would love to read a book set during this same year, except ⬇️

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) from her sister's perspective, as I also think Wren did a lot of growing during the months in this story.

Finishing this one last night put me at a total of 6hr 28min, so a little ahead of schedule if I want to achieve 24hrs total. It also counts for a green cover for #EasterExtravaganza's Easter egg hunt!!

Andrew65 This is one I need to read and still need Nebraska. 3y
TheAromaofBooks @Andrew65 - I could be wrong, but I think pretty much all of Rowell's books take place in Nebraska. Fangirl and Attachments are my two favorites. 3y

Andrew65 @TheAromaofBooks Thanks 😊 3y
Megabooks This is my favorite RR YA book!! I‘ve read it at least four times! 3y
TheAromaofBooks @Megabooks - I really feel like this is the age people she needs to be writing about, if that makes sense. I've read all of her books, but the characters in Fangirl feel the most realistic and natural to me, despite my huge love for the characters in Attachments as well. I've been meaning to reread this one for ages, so I was pretty excited when my own challenge made me do it! 😂 3y
