About ten years ago I read Leviathan Wakes, the first in this series. I did not keep up with the subsequent books, but I kept thinking about the characters from the first book. This year the hosts of the podcast Book Reviews Kill decided to read the series. I decided it was time to tackle it as well. Nine books, all of them over 500 pages, and I finished! I loved each book, and I will miss the Rocinate crew!

Bookzombie This series is high in my list to get too. Although I‘m thinking my not until next year. Lol. 2mo

1. Chrisjen Avasarala (The Expanse)
2. Meggie Folchart (Inkheart)
3. Holly Gibney (Bill Hodges, Outsider, etc)

It was hard to narrow it down to three. I could easily come up with a dozen more. #tlt @dabbe

dabbe You've given me three more books to put on my TBR! 🤩
Thanks for playing! 🧡💜💛

Another great birthday gift❣️

I enjoyed this series and the TV show!! I‘ve almost collected all of the books! I think I‘m only missing one. Great cover art.

I imagine that there‘ll be a special edition series I can afford …. Riiight after I get the last book. HA!

I‘m happy to add this book to my collection & can‘t wait to re-read it. 🎉

I really liked this one, despite taking a long break from it. I continue to marvel at the complexity and relatability of the characters—especially the female ones. Here, even the objectively bad people are still people. It's less action-focused than the previous books, but I don't consider that a bad thing. Makes space for a lot of character development.

5/5

Short break between the 2 jobs. And a little sad that this will be my last time visiting the Rocinante.

The library hold period was so long that the expectation was prob too high. Plus, you do hear a lot of good things abt this series! I‘m open to trying it again, i got to maybe 30% and still wasn‘t rly grasping the plots (seems like it starts with two kinda dif ones? I‘m not even sure)… so I‘m guessing my timing was just off. That feeling added to the anxiety of seeing the Libby note “12 people are waiting for this” was too much for me. Next time!

I'm really bogged down with this book -- just not enjoying too many of the POVs. I'm trying to read a little each day to see if I can find my way back in.

#BookSpinBingo is going fine, at least! I doubt I can get as close to a blackout this month as last, but we'll see.
