Starting Day 9 #AfterMaria in the Costco parking lot, waiting in line for 3 hours in the hopes that we'll be able to buy bottled water. It's our second try.
Emergency situation continues. No power, limited water. Shortages of diesel, gas, food, bottled water, medicine. Long multi-hour lines for everything. Curfew.
The sick are dying, even in hospitals. It's bad.
Please keep the pressure up on your Senators, Reps, and White House. #SavePR

alisiakae Is it okay if I share this elsewhere? A friend and I (her family is from PR) are organizing a donation drive in affiliation with Puerto Rico Rises and United for Puerto Rico. I really hope conditions improve soon, and that the lifting of the Jones Act that happened yesterday helps. 7y

jpmcwisemorgan I‘m sorry. We‘re keeping pressure on. People are collecting in Austin but I know that does little when we can‘t get it there. One of my colleagues is from PR, with family still there, and she says postal service is resuming next week but I just don‘t see how it‘s going to get through to people. If it does let us know so we can send supplies. 7y
