shortsarahrose Is the Haunted Bookshop the one in Iowa City? 4y
katy4peas @shortsarahrose Yes, it is!! I'm about 2 hours away, but whenever I'm close by I make sure to stop by! I also love Prairie Lights. 😊 4y
shortsarahrose @katy4peas Awesome! I‘m in Cedar Rapids, so I get down there occasionally (usually when I have an appointment at the hospital). I love both of those bookstores 💕 4y
robinb @katy4peas No worries! 💕👍😊 4y
sprainedbrain Hey, I‘m also 2 hrs from Iowa City. Love both of those stores! (edited) 4y

1) Nabokov
2) Impossible to choose one. I have a handful of favorites (Heart is A Lonely Hunter, Confederacy of Dunces, Slaughterhouse 5, Invisible Man, etc)
3) The Strand is my favorite I've ever visited, but as far as bookstores I can realistically visit once or twice a year it's the tagged one.
4) Poe stories, also the Sherlock & Shirley Jackson stories.
5) Silence. Good Omens.
6) A legitimate reason to believe in reincarnation.
7) The Shire.👇

vivastory 8) Northanger Abbey. It was my first Austen. I didn't think I was a fan, I was glad to be proven wrong. 9) I plan on reading more of the classics on my TBR. 10) The recliner in my living room. 11) Shel Silverstein & Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. 4y
Hooked_on_books Your number 6! 😂🤣 4y

sprainedbrain Northanger is vastly underrated! 😊 4y
vivastory @sprainedbrain I completely agree! The only Austen I've read so far is Northanger & Emma, but I actually preferred NA slightly more. It has the best passage about novels I've ever come across in a book. 4y
sprainedbrain @vivastory Austen was at her sarcastic best in that one. And I love the gothic stuff, even if she was making fun of it. 😂 4y
vivastory @sprainedbrain I was just looking for a book on my shelves & I saw my copy of Pride & Prejudice. Planning on reading it soon. 4y
vivastory @sprainedbrain I also meant to tell you that I was on the fence about watching the Emma adaptation, but your enthusiasm convinced me 👍 4y
sprainedbrain @vivastory Emma is currently my least favorite JA book (mainly because I didn‘t like Emma much) and the previous adaptations I‘ve seen didn‘t do much to sway me... but that new one has me excited to reread. I hope you like the movie! 4y
