DebinHawaii ...his jail cell & new murders start happening, Gia thinks he might be coming back for her. Twisted & graphic-I liked the pace & couldn't help feeling sorry for Gia-even though she's not that likable. Her time in prison & dealings there were interesting (& her edge gave me a definite BODAK YELLOW vibe). I just wish I hadn't seen the biggest twists coming in this NetGalley #ARC. It did get me to read 2 of the author's earlier books I had on Kindle. (edited) 6y

I don't think my husband realizes that one of our favourite coffee table books was a gift from an ex boyfriend (shhh....). I love this book, a look at New York City through the faces of its bodegas, delis, Mom and Pop shops, and more, that are slowly disappearing in favour of polish and poise. If you like your NYC with a bit of grit, it's a collection for you!
