The When the Moon Hatched | Sarah A. Parker

I just finished the entire Lux series, it‘s probably my favorite by the author Jennifer Armentrout. 💫
When The Moon 🌙 Hatched was also really good. I had to actually read it twice because it‘s a lot of world & character building. But it‘s a unique story which I always love a unique story. 🥰🩵 Happy Reading! 😃

I enjoyed rereading this book with the #OokBOokClub. It features the usual crazy array of characters, along with dragons! @julesG

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it.

Mehso-so

I can finally say that I didn't love it, but I really enjoyed the world-building and the social commentary, even if it's more Brit-centric. It's early enough that maybe in a few books I will start having a fav character, and early enough that I still would like to finish the whole Watch arc. I can absolutely see why Pratchett is such a beloved author, even if his novels are not 100% for me

Doppoetry The world-building is very whimsical but surprisingly deep. The humor didn't really land for me (very similar to Monty Python), but the deeper commentary really resonated with me; there are some deep philosophical ideas present, and they are presented in a very approachable way. 3d
Doppoetry Thought about it more overnight, but there was a sort of “will they won't they“ relationship that I'm not sure if it was meant to make fun of the romance trope in the genre or an actual attempt at romance blooming between the characters. I didn't care for it. 2d

DNF- Yes, there is suppose to be a lot of characters in this as the twelve dancing sister retelling. However, I was overwhelmed and lost with them all present the 38% of the book I read. I found myself asking who was talking… then the Gooseboy too? Maybe it ends up really good, but I was too lost to want to navigate through it especially with not being a stand alone.

These books are never what I expect, but it always blows my mind.
A very satisfying end to a very heart-rending journey.

Hob weaves true magic with her writing. Her poetic, imaginative prose takes you places you've never dreamt of; contiplating situation you'll never face, but truly do though her stories

Enchanted_Bibliophile Going into a darker, more introspective character study with this book makes it much slower than the previous two (which were already slow) so perseverance is the name of the game. Don't try to rush, stick with it I promise you'll be glad you did. Even if it test your tolerance for grimness beyond what you think you can handle. 4d
Enchanted_Bibliophile The complexity of the character bonds is what really pulled it off for me. Nighteyes, Fool I'm looking at you.
The prolonged revenge quest got a bit much for me, but the character development I got out of it was so worth it. Understanding where Fitz came from - his physical and psychological suffering - made me understand his need for revenge.

Enchanted_Bibliophile How he revenged himself in the end, O Man!
It shows just how much he's learnt and grown and it was just spectacular.

I'm gonna miss these characters, they've become a part of my heart.
