I found this (and the rest of the trilogy) at a used bookstore and couldn‘t resist. I first read these in late elementary school and loved them so I‘m diving back into them. Fingers crossed they hold up!

so-soI DID IT. But these will be the only High Fantasy novels I read this year because I hate High Fantasy. :) The after-climax ending for this series was two hours long. I‘m just here for my Murtagh, and I‘ve got one more book before I get to him. 😭

so-soI wanted to see what all the fuss was about after my local indie had a big launch event for the latest in this series. I get how a fan of “new adult” fantasy would love this. It was entertaining enough, but I won‘t be continuing the series.
so-soFor the love of all the gods and all the dragons… I get that Paolini has created this very full world, but good lord do I need a 20 min description of something that can be said in a paragraph? (Dear Reader, High Fantasy is not for me lol) One more and then I can read Murtagh. 😭

WOW! I cannot believe I did it. Having not read consistently for YEARS and getting hooked on Fourth Wing at the start of 2025, I decided to challenge myself to read 25 books this year. NEVER did I imagine that four and a half months later I would already achieve my goal! What‘s next? I have a few mysteries to finish and then I think maybe I will challenge myself to another 25 books.
