I‘m gonna go with mental illness for my #bookswithillness post. Too many people suffer with invisible symptoms and them deal with skepticism and shunning on top of it. 😢

New reading spot today. Hubby is watching a movie with the dudes in the living room, so I've escaped up front for some book time. I keep hearing "where did Mommy go?" but have not yet been invaded. I'm really loving this one so far. The characters really take hold of your heart. I feel so much for all of them.

CouronneDhiver I‘m rereading this one right now... on chapter 7. Love it! 7y
ErikasMindfulShelf I read this one driving from Florida to NJ. Long car ride with two kids made so much better by reading this amazing book. 7y

A mysterious illness plagues the royal family and power struggles ensue. It‘s a good book but not my favorite.

BiblioLitten Pretty placement 😍 7y

Pickpick

A brilliant read that reads like a novel. Fascinating explanations of how the brain works to interpret the world.

Dolly I found this a fascinating read especially for the fact that she was an expert in this area. Even so, her knowledge was eclipsed by the stroke. 7y
TheBookgeekFrau @Dolly Her own fascination at the lack of ‘understanding‘ in her knowledge prior to the stroke is what I found most compelling (I hope I‘m remembering this correctly, it‘s been 5 or so years since I read it) 7y

Found this gem at a thrift store recently. It's the first adult book I read when I was a kid. I think I'm due for a re-read. Who knew Ebola could evoke childhood nostalgia?! 😂🤷‍♀️

NightOwl3616 I LOVED this book!!!! I read it at the suggestion of my high school biology teacher, and it‘s the cause of my paralyzing fear of Ebola. 😂 7y
CouronneDhiver It‘s a good one! 7y
Oryx This book was great! I remember being totally engrossed 7y
