The blurb reads “playful and funny” but since breast cancer has directly affected two of my close family members, I‘m finding this book morbid and acidic. I‘m passing - it‘s not for me.
I hear this is actually fantastic in print, as form is apparently worked into the narrative- however I‘m an audio girl and this was available on #Scribd #Booker2022LongList I‘ve only just started but so far Im sold.
I really lack the skills to adequately review this #Booker2022LongList novel - audio narration is outstanding 🙌🏻It‘s coy and clever, claustrophobic and encompassing. Moments of humor peppered with the horrors of The Troubles happening off Island but still affecting those on the Island. It‘s a short novel but large in its delivery. I‘d be shocked if this doesn‘t make the long list.
Ohhhh, I‘m really enjoying this one from the #Booker2022LongList - audio narration is spot on!!! This one might be a contender for favorite off the list 🙌🏻🎧♥️
#WeeklyForecast August 7- 13 I pretty much stuck to my plan last week💕 I read 5/6 forecasted books plus my #BookSpin & #DoubleSpin which I had forecasted too!! Im feeling pretty confident about this week‘s as well 🤩 History in One Act is a slow ongoing read but I‘m really enjoying it so that‘s the only book I may not finish this week. Curious about the two #Booker2022LongList audios ~ Colony has lots of good buzz, Maps more mixed reviews.
A novel within a novel within a novel. What I expected from To Paradise and Sea of Tranquility, I pleasantly found in Trust. Fabulous title and excellent audio narration - Told in four parts, we slowly come to understand what and whom we can trust. A book about perception, wealth, mental health, fact & fiction. I really enjoyed the experience❣️ #Booker2022LongList
Two hours to go!! REALLY enjoying this book. It requires some patience but I feel like the payoff will be worth it. A novel within a novel with MANY layers. A bit of business background is helpful but not necessary to understand the art of manipulation 😉
Just started this one from the #Booker2022LongList
I have high hopes although this book seems to be divided between loathing or loving 🤷🏼♀️
