A Little Life: A Novel | Hanya Yanagihara

A little bit of "light" reading over the Christmas break. I started each of these books in 2016, but they've taken me a while to get through because of the nature of the content, especially #ALittleLife, which has been heartbreaking to read.

I passed my #readingchallenge goal of 100 books a while back--but I always like setting the number at a doable target so that I don't focus on the number so much that I worry about going after long books or riding out the occasional reading slump. #2019ReadingChallenge

#2019ReadingChallenge Goal was 100. So far this year I've read 163 books. I put dates on all of my books, but for some reason this total is way off. Has anyone else noticed that?

My goal was 100 books this year. I'm trying to figure out a realistic goal for next year. I want to chip away more at my Classics Club list---those always take me longer---and my youngest is beyond picture book stage now, so I won't have as many of those to pad my list. Always a balance between too few to be a challenge and so many that I despair...

gradcat Omigod! Congratulations, woman! I think that is an outstanding achievement! You go! I‘m going to follow your lead and try to do better for next year. I‘ve noticed that when I manage to put my mind to it, and let go of the distractions, I can really get lots of reading done! I‘m almost finished with my Booked2019 reading. Yay for you!! Andrew65 @EadieB Just finished book 264 yesterday, and got 8 minutes Audio left on book 265, and close to finishing 2 others. And just finished for the term. 🎄🎅🎯🍾🥂🤯 😴 💤 I would hope to get to somewhere between 278 and 280 before midnight on New Year‘s Eve, other circumstance allowing. So far Read 110,154 Pages this year but don‘t know how with such a difficult 2019 job wise! @gradcat (edited) 4y
