23 #35 I liked this one. It wasn‘t a page turner but it kept my attention.

This is the story of two women, told in alternating chapters -Grace Monroe, a London socialite in 1955 who‘s life has always been led by her family or her new husband, who receives a surprise inheritance from Eva D‘Orsey, a resourceful perfumer‘s muse from the 1920s. As Grace tries to solve the mystery of how she and Eva are connected, she begins to learn who she is and what she wants for her future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 ❤️📚
It‘s a gorgeous fall day! Enjoying this book so far. #frontporchsitting #reading #coffeeandbooks ❤️📚
Made a Goodwill trip today, first one since COVID took over. Scored some great reads!!
February in France
I got through everything but the Three Mayle books. The perfume collector and French milk were my favorites in this stack.
Such a beautifully written book!! I found myself immersed into the world that it created and didn‘t want to come back to the real world! A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for sure!!
1. Real book - Jurassic Park, Audiobook - The Perfume Collector
2. The Gentleman‘s Guide to Vice and Virtue
3. Moving into dorms (so weird at 29!) to start the first leg of my Masters of Music Education degree!
My January Book Club Pick, pages filled with grammatical errors and the plot is set in WWII France about an English maid who inherits fortune from someone she does not know.
#voulezvous take a trip to Paris, immerse yourself in the seductive world of perfumers and their muses?
‘Weaving through the decades, from 1920s New York to Monte Carlo, Paris, and London, the story of an extraordinary woman who inspired one of Paris‘s greatest perfumers is unraveled..‘

Today is #BookLoversDay and it made me realize I have *completely* failed at my New Year's resolution to post about all of the four and five star books I've read this year. So to catch up, here are some lovely spreadsheets of the ones I've read so far! 😝

Even though a couple of plot points were predictable, this book is so beautifully written that it didn‘t matter. I thoroughly enjoyed the premise, the setting, and the characters, even though most of them were seriously flawed. 4/5⭐️ And I will never consider perfume the same way again.
“Perfume should tell a story-the story of who you are, who you might be, perhaps even who you fear becoming...”. This book is fascinating! I have lots of things to do today that are not likely to get done because if it😂
As if my TBR wasn‘t already overloaded, I‘ve succumbed to some BookBub offers in the last couple of weeks. This has intrigued me for a while, so when I saw it on sale I jumped at it. And it just looks too interesting to wait. Starting now😄
Totally loved this! It's one of those books that makes you want to crawl inside and experience the world first-hand
I‘ve reached that rare point where I can‘t do anymore YA or magic for a bit. My bf brought me this to help me avoid a dreaded reading rut. Isn‘t it pretty?
I loved this book in every way possible. The characters, setting, the plot - all fantastic. ♥️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
When you're trying to read but someone would like a good scratch. #lovemydog #dogmom #read #amreading #writinglife
The best part of being in a book club is being gently nudged to read something that you might not have ever picked up. Starting this tonight! (Marley was checking to see if the book smelled like perfume)
Narrowed my next read down to four. Which one should I read next?
I had this book on my shelf for a few years. I think it took me so long to get to it, because it was just lost in a sea of other WWII stories based in France. As I expected, it was fairly predictable, but had some enjoyable twists in the end.
Just finished listening to this book- so impressed with all the accents and voices Wilds did. Tessaro did a greAt job writing the characters.
❤❤❤
"Life is, after all, a sensual experience. Our senses have the power to truly transport us but also to ground us. Make us human."

"Are we at war with fate?"
"It's a tango, don't you find? Sometimes dramatic, sometimes quiet, but always with a few good hard slaps thrown in."
My favorite line from this!
I really enjoyed this book! The ending could have been better, but overall it kept me interested and was a good read.
"There is nothing more difficult than simplicity, and therefore, nothing more refined."
This is a reminder of just how powerful the olfactory sense is. Plus, what better book is there for a perfume slut? I say none other than this, which I've already read how many times? You have to read this if you collect perfume, like I do.
I would have never read this book if my book club hadn't selected it. Why? Because the blurb is so boring my eyes rolled back into my head while reading it, but the book was so great! Really enjoyed the ups and downs of these two strong females and the assorted other personalities in their lives.
