I worked the Circ Desk today. After waiting in line, an elderly woman came up to the desk (her husband lingered behind) & said loudly, "I need to find something sensual." I went ? *blink blink*. Everyone's watching me. I said, "Umm, I...think you might have come to the wrong place and asked the wrong guy." Everyone laughed, whew! Seekingtardis I got asked for a “tree-ology” once, when I asked if she was looking for books about trees she said no it‘s like when there‘s more than one book! Trilogy, trilogy would be the word you are looking for. 😂😂 (edited) 7y

Leftcoastzen As a bookseller I got the “treeology” now and then.Senior couple came in often , she read widely , her husband only the Longarm series.She said “My Husband sure loves westerns.” I wanted to say ,No,your husband likes explicit sex and violence in a western setting.Ride um cowboy has a whole other meaning .😆😉🙄 7y

Okay. #Librarystory time! I'm sitting at the Reference Desk when this older woman comes upstairs in a flurry. "My sausage! My sausage! Where's my sausage?!" *blink blink* Uhh. "I left my sausage, and I have to get it HOME!" Uhhhhh. So I asked, "Where did you last see your...sausage, m'am?" We walked back to the spot and it was there alright. Whole package of 'em! Johnsonville brats! She had to get them to her fridge. ??? #LitsyLovesLibraries

#LibraryStory time! The construction continues by the Reference Desk I man in the main library. I had to go in the back staff area to retrieve an item for a patron. As I opened the door, one of my colleagues was about to open the door from the other side. So, being the gentleman I am, I stepped back to let her pass through first...right into a just-painted wall 😩. Leave it to MrBook to get wet paint on him if it's in the vicinity! 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

Valink When I was a kid I was a bit of a germaphobe. I wouldn't read library books because I was afraid people would pick their nose and have boogers on their finger when they turn the page, or read in the bathroom.... maybe that's why I mainly read e-books from the library! Lol. (edited) 7y

So, there's a really big blizzard heading in our direction. Turns out, my library is the 3rd slot on most people's 1-stop-shop trip 😆.

Stop 1: Weis Market. Milk, bread, eggs, water. Next door is...
Stop 2: Wines & Spirits. The booooze. One lot over is...
Stop 3: The library. DVDs, cds, and books.
