A fun, mostly lighthearted paranormal romance short. Vampire Aethelthryth has been successfully dodging her sworn slayer nemesis Lazlo for centuries, but when he rescues her from another vampire and then loses his memory, things really get interesting. There's a nice build up of chemistry and coziness between them.

willaful The worldbuilding is a little concerning though... Aethelthryth chooses evil people to feed on, but we learn that whether or not someone becomes a vampire is pretty much up to chance, so maybe she's creating a bunch of evil vampires without knowing it? It's also unclear whether she needs to kill to live or if she considers it a public service. 5d
