⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pure nightmare fuel. Q: What‘s more horrifying than being on a sinking ship? A: Being swarmed by relentless feasting sharks. What these crewmen went through is truly beyond comprehension. Everything that could possibly go wrong indeed did. It was 1945. Technology was not what it is now. Was the captain at fault? It was war. Awful things happen. Absolutely captivating history, but so very, very sad.
Soccer manager life! 😅 Sitting in the school pick up line, listening to a good book, and getting some scheduling/organizing done. It‘s a lot of work, but I‘m fortunate to have the time to do it. Love my son‘s team!

I made it home in the freezing rain to this awesome package from @AmberWB for #ReadInTheNewYear swap!
Thank you SO much, Amber! I love everything: the bookmarks, the shoelace tag, the socks, sticker books, cocoa cup, the candle, all the goodies and especially this awesome Jane Austen scarf! 😍 Very excited about the books that you chose for me, too... 4 that have been on my tbr wishlist for a long time!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
📖 Tagged. The story of the USS Indianapolis is more horrifying than any work of fiction.

🎶 Fins - Jimmy Buffett. Land sharks, the most dangerous kind 🤣🤣🤣

The full title contains #extraordinary and the men described certainly were. I trusted my old boss with my books. Silly me, I forgot to ask for this book when I started a new job in October. 😣 #SeasonsReafings2017. @RealLifeReading
My #bookandtreat includes the journals I am sending as a treat for #UnitedforOurTroops The BookCougars podcast suggested this donation. @WildmooBooks @RealLifeReading #SeasonsReadings2017 My nephew just finished naval boot camp, so this means a lot to me.
Excellent telling of a true tragedy.
In Harm's Way is probably my favorite military history book, and today the news broke that they had found the wreckage after 72 years. (Remember Quint's speech in Jaws? Yeah, THAT boat.) https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2017/08/19/us/uss-indianapolis-wrec...
Wow, what an audiobook. Remember the scene in Jaws when the crazy boat captain guy talks about what happened when his boat sank during WWII? This is the full story.
