I‘ve been finding novels about pandemics weirdly comforting lately. Two I recommend.

Just home from my first adventure outside after 57 days.
Everything is so strange.
Everybody wear a mask. We have to wait for our turn outside shops. So few cars on the streets.

But l appreciate the silence. I really do, surprisingly.

Still working on my current read, but I‘m looking for suggestions of any other good, light reads Littens might be able suggest moving forward. You know, books I can cut to the front of the line, so to speak. P.S bonus points if you actually READ this post. 😉

Be encouraged, fellow Littens! This is from the mom of one of my students in China. They have been under quarantine for about two months. Things are looking up for them! There is hope for us too! The quarantines won‘t last forever. ❤️🥰

When the going gets tough even public employees can work at home a bit. I feel busier here than I do in my office, may rethink this😂

These are crazy times we're living in. I'm still getting in the groove of working from home and the stress is definitely starting to peak which makes it hard to be productive. I really just need to find more time for reading - that may just be the thing to help keep the panic at bay 😭

Haircuts in the time of coronavirus 💇

My #quarantinereads stack (not counting my panic-induced plethora of library ebooks on my kindle)! Trying to have a good attitude about being mostly stuck at home for the future. @maximoffs and I shared some of our favorite escapist reads on the Checking Out Podcast, which you can listen to on Anchor, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, and most platforms. Post a picture and give me a tag! Let‘s make the best of a scary situation.

All this panic buying had me totally stressed out so I braved the world and stocked up on my essentials. No bog roll, pasta or rice but I am set! With my Litsy family and these beauties I don‘t need to leave the house.

1. Well, my university closed so we won‘t have class again until March 23 (all online) and they‘re going to reassess by April 6. Until then, I‘m out of all 3 of my jobs, both of my favorite classes are impossible, and a bunch of my friends can‘t graduate.
2. My parents don‘t, but I‘m bringing a bunch back from school!

Oh goodness, seems like we are prepping for a little societal shut down here. I think that I might be seeing more of these faces if the rumours about an imminent school closure are true. Think of the reading, the glorious reading.

They closed the schools in our state for 3 weeks.
At least we have lots of books.
