julesG @MinDea @tonyahoswalt @TK421 - I think, @DuckOfDoom wants to keep this very simple. It's a bit like the 'Litsy A to Z'. In the sign up form you can see there are different ideas, which you don't have to stick to, (a SFF short story, longest SFF book on your TBR,...) - you can also edit the form at any time, I only entered the basics and will add the books as I read them. So, create a TBR list of books based loosely on the topics suggested in.... 6y

Read 50 books (not necessarily from your TBR, but I know many of us have enough books at home) in the SFF genre that fit one or more of the criteria

sprainedbrain I want to do this, but I have a silly question: does this mean sci-fi fantasy books only, or can we also count books at are fantasy, but maybe not so sci-fi? If that makes any sense at all... 😳 6y

DuckOfDoom @PickwickPlockPlock only as much as you want to read. Set your own challenge with the tags available. You can even start with a few and fill the tags in throughout the year. No need have a book for every tag at the beginning. Right now I've just got my goodreads challenge & Litsy A-Z, which I'm getting close to finishing anyhow. I've been careful ...this year... not to super overburden myself with reading expectations lol 6y

Nute Great idea. Science Fiction / Fantasy is a first love of mine. Very excited to do this. Cannot commit to 50 books in one genre though, but I read your reply comments that states its okay to tailor this to fit. That‘s what I‘ll do. Thanks for the creation of a fun reading challenge. 6y

I also had the idea, if anyone is interested, to partner up to keep motivated. One could exchange letters/emails/small packages every X weeks with the partner. So you also would have an opportunity to rage about the bad ones and praise the really god ones in detail!

Happy Midnight, west coast U.S.ers! Midnight means it's #geekygraphicnovelswap time!! I like to do a level 1 unwrap the night before and open the rest in the morning. Nitpickyabouttrains And my name is sort of a long story. But basically: I am a civil engineer, and I work in rail-based transit. The first time I ever wrote fanfic, I co-wrote with a friend. She wrote a simile about trains which was wrong. I commented ‘not to be nitpicky, but‘ and then totally was. And things spiraled from there. 6y

WarpedSweetness Ooh I'm excited! I wasn't getting worried yet, but thank you for the heads up. I have a problem with my mail going to my upstairs neighbors and they're not very good about giving my mail to me in a timely fashion. So knowing a head of time is great to keep an eye out and harass the neighbors. 6y

UPS says it was delivered but she never got it, and we‘re pretty sure it got stolen, so I‘m actually sending out her replacement at the same time I‘m sending yours. 🙄 I‘ll see if they can put a note with your package somehow to say it should go to the basement apartment, and if not I might just end up writing it on the box. Lol either way it should be there sometime next week! 6y

WarpedSweetness @the-flashley A note might be good, or on the box itself! I've had a few of my packages gone missing when it says they should be delivered. I've actually filed a complaint with USPS and UPS so hopefully it gets better. I've already informed my fiancee to keep a watch for me! I really hate talking to my neighbors. Lol 6y

the-flashley Yeah they probably just need to make it mandatory to get signatures when the drivers deliver packages, it‘s just so inconvenient. And awesome! I don‘t blame you for not wanting to talk to your neighbors, a lot of times I just don‘t really want to talk to people in generally. 😅😂 6y

the-flashley @WarpedSweetness The UPS website says your package was delivered yesterday, so if you didn‘t find it on your doorstep, then the people at the store probably didn‘t write on the box that it was a basement apartment like they said they would (should‘ve just done it myself 🙄😂). Anyway, just wanted to let you know that it says it‘s been delivered, so you can check with your neighbors! 6y
