This is a really cute, easy to read romcon book.
It has a lot of tropes, fake-dating, grumpy/sunshine, shared room, etc.
I would rec this to anyone looking for a fast but entertaining read

Havent read much romance lately so i thought i would try Ali Hazelwood for a change. Really enjoyed the academic setting and the light humorous writing style. The set-up has lots of tropes but it has a sense of humour about using them. Im often wary of the “young girl whose life is chaotic” character falling for “older more successful cold guy ” but Hazelwood makes it clear that Olive is driven & successful too & she instigates most action.
Finished my book club pick!
Super enjoyable; gave me all the feels!
The writing was super easy to read.
Loved the awkward situations; plenty of LOL moments!
Can‘t wait to hear what @hkapusta @WonderingGypsy @VioletCavalier @CKBrooke have to say about it!
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Predictable, but cute. Corny, but expected. Tropey, of course. Cute little romcom read for Feb.
I gave this four stars, I loved it. I went through it in about one day, and it was a fun to read. I did think that the main character in this book and love theoretically, had a lot of similarities in their personalities, but it was still a pretty fun lightweight read..
Funny and really cute. A fake dating troupe. It's predictable, the characters are predictable yet it's fun to read, humorous and keeps you going for more. I love Hazelwood's sense of humour and her easy, flowing writing that is not exactly literary but does give you a good story.
Currently reading this. Im such a mood reader. I need to stick to one book and read that. I wish all books were fast reading for me like Freida books were.
I drank this novel like sweet wine 🍷 This was a bit of an impulse read and wasn‘t on my list for #wintergames but my mom insisted that I bump it up on my tbr. So glad I did!
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
#GhostsofXmas
Flying through this one…I don‘t know what took me so long to finally read it! #GhostsofXmas #wintergames
I‘ve known romances happen in Academia (what a juxtaposition!) but this is the first story that I‘ve read that depicts such a situation. Enjoyable page turner, certainly relatable on maybe not the plot but more the thoughts that women have and things women go thru in the workplace. Hopeful and fun all around.
I loved this book!!!! I felt like I could identify with Olive. It was a cute book. I rated this book a 5 out of 5 stars!
Third year Ph.D biology student Olive doesn‘t believe in romance. She needs to convince her best friend that she is seeing someone so kisses Professor Carlsen. They both need this fake relationship to work on both parts. That is until the fake relationship becomes something more.
I loved this nerdy story especially the academia style talks. A great set of supporting characters. Favourite character though is Dr. Carlsen: the sweetest guy!
🎉🥳 BOOK 100 OF THE YEAR! 🎉🥳
Super cute. I love books with a female MC in STEM. This was funny and romantic but also addressed sexism in science roles.
A perfect amount of steam without being smutty.
Adam is now my new favourite book boyfriend.
The cover of this book looks cute, and the beginning is cute, then Olive fake dates her professor, and after that Olive‘s profesor forces her into marriage and has se* with her that she doesn‘t want. Don‘t buy this pornography book!
I was so nervous to start this book because of the hype and how much the synopsis sounded like something I‘d love. I didn‘t want to be let down; I need not worry. This was amazing and the perfect way to end my week.
Fun, easy read. Still kind of wild to think that fan fiction with the names changed is such a viable genre. Found on the laundromat bookshelf, and tbh I understand not wanting to display this one on your home shelf, even though I already told all my friends that I read it
Love story … would love to have more of the ending continued…. Aprils pick for book club!
First, if you're going to write a book that talks about sexism in STEM, it's not a good idea to open with your MC sticking their lips on a colleague at work. Obvs not OK & thoroughly bugged me.
What won me over was the prolonged two chapter sex scene 😶🌫️💕 Detailed, awkward, full of intimacy and connection. Definitely made the book worth reading 😅
Bubblegum sweet, totally unrealistic, equal parts irritating and adorable.

Oh poo, I forgot to bring Fool's Errand!!!!! 🙃
I'd held off on reading this one as it had been posted everywhere, and I usually do not have good luck with really popular books.
This one was a great surprise! The characters were interesting, the storyline was fun (and at times made fun of itself), and the romance is full open door.
Would recommend!

Hypothesis: Getting older might mean I'm starting to like the rom-com genre 😱
This was cute, fun and a fast read/listen.
I'm surprised with how much I liked it despite all the cringe-worthy clichés.

I just finished rereading this book for the second time, and I couldn‘t put it down. Although it‘s definitely cliched and cringey at times, it is the perfect mindless romance and has really cute moments that made me giggle and kick my feet. As a chemist, I‘m also definitely biased to a good academic lovers trope:) My ex roommates hates this book, but this seems to mean she is a cynic who doesn‘t believe in love
I LOVED this book!! I can‘t believe how quickly I blew through this book (2 evenings!!). After the dud of a romance my last book was, it was nice to see one done well.
This is also how my #bookspinbingo board turned out for February. I thought I would get more reading done this month, but my birthday plus Hogwart‘s Legacy and VR2 distracted me a bunch! 🤣

If I'm going for the bookshelf nearest to me, I guess I'll be reading The Love Hypothesis.
This also works for #pop23 - a book that started out as fan fiction, I believe.
I don't usually read romance because I'm a cranky curmudgeon (or maybe because my own love life is so perpetually depressing 🤣😶🌫️) Let's see if you can melt my Scroogy heart, Hazelwood.
I throughly enjoyed this romance! I loved how quirky the characters were and how it didn‘t shy away from problems you see in academia! I will for sure read more by her!
This book was amazing. I couldn‘t put it down. There were real world problems and obvious simping and it made everything okay.

I will be reading the tagged book for #sharreadathon starting tomorrow. It is a book on her Litsy TBR and also on my shelf.

Thoughts pending...so far in this book is so good I can't put it down yet the cringey romantic parts are making me want to throw it across the room. Gonna have to finish it but right now I can't tell whether I love it or hate it 🖤📚😂📚🖤
I wasn‘t sure that I was going to like this book when I first started it. It was definitely predictable, but it worked. I think the mix of the academic setting and the truly lovable characters made this book really special. I loved the friend group in this and the story. I would love to see this adapted into a movie because I think it would be really fun!
I promised my bestie I‘d start this as soon as I‘d arrived, so Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow is waiting in the wings for a few days (as much as it kills me to set it aside).
I really enjoyed this and I don't usually like romance books. I think the academic setting made the difference.
It was well written and paced with interesting characters. Yes, it's a bit predictable and tropey but it worked.
Glad I finally got around to finishing this. I've stopped and started it multiple times. I think this was on my #shelfofshame
Jumping in to #AuldLangSpine right away after the seasonal drivel. It was a heavy holiday, the first Christmas without my mom, so some light reading is in order. It is a wonderfully eclectic list to allow more depth as the days get longer hopefully right along with my attention span. Thanks @BookNAround @monalyisha
Ahh @Mitch I've been wanting this book for ages, and you got my favourite chocolate! Thank you so much, and have a lovely christmas🎄🥰

Wow!! I picked this as my #BOTM Book of the Year but honestly wasn‘t expecting to love it- let alone read it in one sitting! But I totally loved it and absolutely couldn‘t put it down! Such a delightful romance- steamier and with great bantering dialogue and a great cast of characters! Was it predictable- sure, but in the best sort of way! I had fun reading it and wouldn‘t have picked it up otherwise so I‘m glad to have not missed out! Such fun!
Olive kisses the nearest guy, which ends up being Adam, the notably hot Stanford scientist. They decide to fake date so Adam can receive his grants for research. Will their feelings get in the way of both their experiments?
This book was so worth the hype. It was so charming & funny. I enjoyed both of the characters. The plot & the writing were both stellar. I would definitely read it again.

With this book I just felt so much. I don‘t have words to describe it.
It was literally amazing.
I loved it because of the intrigued story and because of the way Ali Hazelwood decided to tell it. She made me laugh, think, cry (a lot, really) and I just loved every second spent on this book.
Adam and Olive will always remain in my heart. ❤️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I've had this book for a while, still sitting in my tbr, but I've heard all kinds of amazing things about it. 🥰 Have you guys read this book?
How would you rate it?
I loved the brain, the overthinking and crazy friendship that Olive, main character, was given in the story. Really enjoyed the context and I could really picture the description given. Really loved it.
