COVID Chronicles | 
I‘m slowly but surely recovering. I‘m cautiously spending time around kiddo, hubby, and kitty, but no hugs yet. The worst is over but the cough remains, and if it‘s like every other winter illness I‘ve ever had the cough will remain for weeks. Hubby is still handling cooking duties but decided he can‘t live without macaroni and cheese, so I‘ve been talking him through making the roux. Send good thoughts, please. 👇🏻
ravenlee I spent today rescheduling all the medical stuff I was supposed to do this week and now it‘s spread out over the next six weeks 😡. Oh, and there was a water main repair in my neighborhood that unexpectedly shut down our water supply for an hour. Now our water probably needs to be boiled before use but they haven‘t told us that yet. 4mo

Ruthiella Sending healing vibes! Crossing my fingers for the roux. But as a non-cook , I‘ve successfully managed it. So I think he‘s gonna be ok. 4mo

julesG My GP told me that the lung tissue sheds dead cells while regenerating after the cold/flu/Covid/... Which can take up to eight weeks - can't be done all at once, understandably. That's why some people coughing for ages after an infection. 4mo

ravenlee @julesG that makes a lot of sense, and explains why that cough always lingers for so long. Thanks everyone @TheBookHippie @Ruthiella @dabbe @Chrissyreadit I saw the PA today and got a steroid shot, plus some meds to pick up later. Whether it became bronchitis, or is RSV or just lingering COVID cough, hopefully this will manage it. She also gave me “in case” meds so if it‘s not better soon I have the next steps and don‘t need to be seen on XMas. 4mo
