Not an inspirational quote, but I find this humorous and uplifting on days like today. Brighter days are ahead. Thanks for the tag @MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm 😊. #ThinkPositiveBePositive. @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

Last and the 3rd pic of our RoadTrip Haul.

My teen got the shirt. He drives us nuts sometimes becuz he doesn't want anything so we have to make him get at least 1 thing. Hubby surprised me while purchasing the Duff Energy Drink (it was ok... I drank it today. Its an orange flavor) with a keychain for my keys. My Harry Potter heart is happy. And the last picture is 2 necklaces that I found at a mall that I just had to get.

More in comments!

AkashaVampie There is a website on the back of them that I might see if they have anything else. Sadly I did not really go to a book store. We did go to an Amazon store that had books, but nothing I would really read. I did see alot of books that I see on here being posted. 3y
jb72 Wow 🤩 it looks like you had a great time! I‘ve never been to NYC and would love to go someday. 3y
AkashaVampie @jb72 I know this is going to sound weird but it wasn't great. It was an experience. Like everything felt weird. We think its becuz of Covid mostly. Like Time Square was big but not really busy at all. The Statue of Liberty looked smaller in person even tho we weren't close up to it. I'm not saying it was bad, but it was ok. It got us away for alittle bit. When we do it again, we just need to plan it better and stay longer. 3y

Pic 2 of our RoadTrip Haul

So we got to go to a big mall in New Jersey called American Dream. It wasn't as good as we thought it would be, but it had a bunch of floors. At the mall we got to go to a store just for all like of candy. It was pretty big. The little man got the big sucker and my teen got the $20 sour patch box...

more in comments down.

AkashaVampie oh i forgot that guy standing next to Red from Angry Birds was from that store too. Hes from a game called Piggy that my little one likes to watch people play on Youtube. He got Red from a store next to an Angry Birds Mini Golf. Lucian has just come obsessed with The Koolaid Man. So when I found that I had to get it. Then since he already has a Darth Vader Bear from BuildABear, I wanted to get him The Child from Star Wars. 3y

All these were for the little man, Lucian. He is a unique 3 yr old, hence the Chucky toy. The 3rd pic is a picture we got from a mall where u go into a booth, take a pic of urself, and u can be on a cover of a comic book. They made his head into a comic type of thing. It was only like $6. It was worth it cuz he loved it.

So the hubby surprised us with a mini vacation. We went to New Jersey and NYC. I have lived my whole life in Upstate NY (up by the Canadian Border) and have never been to the Big Apple. Sadly we didn't get much time there and it was slightly too cold to be out long, but it was different than we expected. We were able to get close to the Statue of Liberty but did get to see her at least. But overall it wasn't a bad time away from home.

CoverToCoverGirl I was in NYC for a week in 2004, so much to see and do. My favourite highlight was getting to see Phantom of the Opera. 3y

Reign_5.0 This is gorgeous 3y
AkashaVampie @Reign_1982 Thanks sweetie. I can't take credit for the pics. Hubby took most of them becuz I suck at taking photos and my phone isn't great for taking them either. I really wish I could take better ones.
3y
Reign_5.0 @AkashaVampie they're still gorgeous 3y
AkashaVampie @Reign_1982 thanks. It was really beautiful at night. The pics don't do it justice. 3y

Avanders 🥳🤩🥳 4y
Cinfhen Thanks friends ❤️I will say a few books, though set in a specific state still felt generic and a few other states were only just mentioned as a small blip @Avanders @Velvetfur @AmyG @Sarahreadstoomuch @britt_brooke @Moonprismpower @BiblioLitten @jenniferw88 I‘m looking at you #WestVirginia #Nebraska #Idaho 😉you too #Tennessee and #Nevada 4y

I‘ve got one state (NH) plus PR to complete my #ReadingUSA2020 ♥️🤍💙
Goal is to finish before the end of July 🎉

JennyM Wow...that is amazing reading! 👍👏😘 4y
Cinfhen It was much easier than I thought @JennyM only a handful of books I actively set out to read for a specific state. 4y
Megabooks Wow! You are the #challengeguru!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 4y

Cinfhen Haha 😂 thanks @Megabooks a very useful title 😘😘 4y
squirrelbrain Woah, that didn‘t take long! 👍😘 4y
Cinfhen I know!!!! I was pleasantly surprised @squirrelbrain #ReadingEurope2020 is proving more challenging 😜 4y
Librarybelle That‘s incredible! 4y
KarenUK Wow! Didn‘t you only just start this?!!! 😂 4y
Scochrane26 That‘s impressive! I‘ve been going slowly w/ mine because my main goal this yr is to read books I own. So, I haven‘t searched out books for each state. Think I‘ve got about 15 done. 4y
Cinfhen I‘ve mostly read books I own and I‘ve used my library services and subscription services to borrow books @Scochrane26 @KarenUK I wasn‘t planning on this challenge but when I started going through all the books I read since January I discovered I had already “visited”more than 30 states. I did purchase a kindle book for 99 cents for South Dakota 😂 4y
Cinfhen Thanks @Librarybelle if only #ReadingEurope2020 could be as simple. I‘m not enjoying my European reads as much as I did for most of the US states. I‘m finding a lot of the European books are set around wars & conflicts 🥺 4y
Reviewsbylola Wow!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 4y
marleed I ReadTheUSA2020 with a priority on my physical TBR. It was a fun way to get through my physical books. I read the 50 states and DC but really want to read Puerto Rico. I can‘t stop tracking my states though. I know I read a pile of books set in NY but now as I compare to other states it‘s getting a bit ridiculous that my armchair always finds its way back there! 4y
